  • Giving your ferret a bath is fine :) But their skin is very sensative, and dries out extremely quickly. It's best to watch and smell your ferret, to see how dirty she/he is before you give them a bath. Luke warm water, only up past their feet, and splash under their bellys. Make sure to dry them well! I usually bathe Miranda once or twice every 2 weeks. I keep her living quarters immaculate though...

  • Can you please tell me the exact recipe? I would love to try to make soup for my ferret :D Thanks!!

  • Your ferrets look like my two!

  • @DontKlickMyNameMr - yes, water baths are just fine. If they get a little poopy on them, I kinda "spot clean" with a little Ivory liquid soap when I need to, but I generally don't do the full out ferret shampoo/conditioner bath.

  • the person that thumbs down this is a fuckking ASS!!! they're so precious :)

  • lmao, haha my ferret loves trash bags, i wonder why there so fascinated by it. He goes crazy, grrr i wanna squeeze your ferrets, they are so adorable.

  • I'm ina sack.

  • skipper is so cute! i want a ferret with his type of coat =)

  • Can you help me out with one question?

My (newly bought) ferrets are used to eating kibble. I'd like to expend their diet and give them raw or cooked meat as well. Have you got a tip for me on how to slowly start changing their diet?

Thanks in advance and good luck with your little bandits.

  • @Streetfighter5 With all ferrets, and food change is best done by slowly mixing the new in with what they're used to, although most ferrets with accept meat as a treat, even if all they're had is kibble.

  • @Streetfighter5 there is a website called the holistic ferret, that will help convert your ferret to a raw or more natural diet everyone there is really friendly and helpful

  • @Streetfighter5 - sadly no. I've had no luck with trying to do that myself. *shrug*

  • i love ferrets so i love this

  • its weasel not weasle

  • @psychedelification - I know it, but I wanted the name "weaselmom" and someone else had already taken it, so I just transposed the el to le - no biggie.

  • Skipper's got such beautiful colors!

and I love the way Ferrets tilt their heads back and forth and lick at their muzzles when they eat certain things XD

  • I love these little guys, Ferret's are such happy friendly animals. =) (I have 4 of them myself) I love playing with them, Do you keep yours in a cage? Anyways, great video, your two are so cute. haha.

  • I can't wait to get ferrets but it'll still be another 4-5 months I have a lot of research and shopping to do. :p

  • To keep ferrets' scent to a minimum, keep litter boxes scooped and use good litter; wash/change bedding 1-2 times per week, and only give baths 1-2 times per YEAR.

  • @Weaslemom Bath 1 - 2 a year? No hunny.

  • I feed apx. 1/2 cup soup for 2 ferrets morning and evening, after about an hour's romping, and yes it's homemade with love.

  • how do you stop your ferrets from stinking:P

  • you can buy dook soup at petco or petsmart.

  • how cute! everymorning i would make my ferret sammy a tiny 1 inch sized pancake, its so cute when he carries it around.

  • Woah simon's coat is beautiful!

  • hay, im hoping to get ferrets but i aint got a clue wat to feed them, i read that u should feed them cat food but i have never seen a video where they are given cat food.

    any help??

ur albino, simon?? is SOOOOOOO INCREDIBLY CUTE!!!!

  • like cats have cat food, ferrets have ferret food. it's kibble and should be at your local pet store

  • Do NOT feed them cat food. For a long, happy and healthy life they require a high quality ferret diet. The majority of ferret diets on the market are crap and contain corn or wheat. Ferrets are obligate carnivores and do not have a cecum at the end of their intestinal tract, which means that they are unable to properly process any plant material (which would include corn or wheat). They need a high fat and high protein content. Innova evo, Zupreem and Wysong ferret are the best I've found.

  • no cat food! u need a high protein ferret food, the first 5 ingredients should mostly be meat. ( the least amount should b 3 out of the 5)

if they dont get enough protein they could develop problems.

  • Quality catfood actually meets those ingredient requirements, but if someones going to do cat food they should do a nice mix with ferret food with it..

  • how often do you feed them your dook soup? i like the recipe.. homemade? :)
