i used this method with a little bit difference in tools and my driveface fins cracked. Still the best & appropriate method to unscrew & tighten nuts is by an impact drive...
does the gearbox whistle when it runs at big speed?? ... i had a chineede 50cc 4 stroke scooter that whistled slightly ... felt like i had a supercharger on it :D... so .. does it whistle??
@nomynuss hmm not all scooters do that... but I'm %90 hearing impaired so I can't tell if mine can do that ha ha... my friends said it doesn't make any noise
Hello Mic. When I remouved the CVT cover the 2 littel parts holding the bering in the CVT cover bent out and the bering stay on the clutch housing. Did it happen to you at first ? I think I will have to buy a new bering it may be seized or over heated an kind of stock on the clutch housing ? Alain.
@dellalain1964 that happened to many owners, but didn't happen to me.. some people just leave the bearing on the clutch housing with no two little parts on there, bearing won't move around when the clutch cover is on. I put the grease on the oring by the clutch bell before put the clutch cover with bearing back on.
@dellalain1964 hi the i have pulled a few of these burmans apart to get the casing of use 2 3 mill bolts and screw them in to the casing that pull the casing off a lot easier i disintergrated my clutch at 35.000 mile im part way through doing a 100.000 miles test on this scooter so far it has had 5 rear tyres 2 front tyres 3 spark plug 1 belt one variator and now a new clutch my rollers are completly round i notice yours are a funny shape is that correct
Your videos are great, at the cost of flights... I know who I'd rather have to fit my pulleys, cvt belth and clutch... I wonder how many offers you get, there is a K8 in UK needs work doing ;-)
Do you have a video that show how to open the aluminun cover of the belt ? I remouved all bolts and belt filter but is is hard to pull out. I do not want to hit with a hamer the aluminum cover and risk to crack it. Do you have an advise?
@dellalain1964 Yes it's in the CVT Removal video, if you r not able to understand, just let me know. The cover slips over a bearing in the back and sometimes it can be pretty stubborn. You have to wiggle it back and forth as much as possible to loosen it. If you are very careful you can also use a screwdriver to pry it loose at the top above the clutch area near the top rear screw.
I have emailed you a while ago. I still think that your video are great. your step by step method with pointing out parts and numbering bolts is a priceless tip!! thanks again,.sergio
