Been waiting very impatiently for this tech to be available to the DIY crowd for many yrs now. I have a car sitting in my garage that is aching for 2 or 4 of these in wheel motor/steering/suspension/braking units for some time. Please, make this tech available so that folks like me can afford to retrofit our project cars asap.
well if 4 of those setups can do more than 1g acceleration then it certainly looks like in wheel motors will be the way to go. it does seem a tad too good to be true though but maybe. if the driver motor spins really fast and there is high gearing
The disadvatage of Wheel motors is that they can't go fast, not entirely watertight and are very expensive.
If you go into a 1 ft flash flood bye bye car.
Also the handling is shit due to the unsprung weight. Also please, speak English motherfucker.

Translation: 4 functions in one. The wheel, the brakes, the electric motor (30 kW) and the suspension.
That leaves a great of possibilities for car makers to reinvent the space allocated inside the car .
