If you actually studied wars closely you would notice they just continue on till both parties agree that it has cost them too much money and see diplomacy as the only option.
Interdependency, supernationalism, and diplomacy will create peace and save us.

Good, so you agree that its the cost of war that causes the war to end. Diplomacy is a given after a war can no longer be fought. You're trying to put the horse before the carriage and your statement makes as much sense as Sauls.

Back to my point, yes, war goes before diplomacy but only as means to show the war was pointless to start. If countries were more interdependent and engage in super-nationalism it would be too costly for them to start wars with each other so they would engage in diplomacy without any bloodshed.

I've listened at least 3 times to be fair.
