wow, u completely missed the point of this short. He committed suicide by overdosing. When you overdose you don't die immediately you slip into a coma and often have a final dream before death. The scene with the banker is his final dream. The banker killing him is a metaphor.

i like this vid alot but the only flaw i see (and im not sying this to rip on anything) but a life insurance fund is void and wont be paid if the holder commits suicide....

that being said, its not a bad short.

well written, well shot, etc.

Thanks for watching. We did a lot of research on this subject. Many insurances companies do pay out even if you do commit suicide, but only after X amount of time. Hence our quote, "read the fine print"

Actually, if you have an insurance policy for more than 1 year, it does cover suicide. It only doesn't cover when you commit suicide within 13 months of purchasing the policy. FYI.

What you have here is a well-executed idea. In that, it was nice to see somebody care as much about sound as visuals. I understood your characters...kudos!

Music was also good, not predominant. And shots were framed particularly well during the black and white scenes. However, the introduction could have been lit a bit better - even a well aimed desk lamp could have given your scene some more emotional context (especially with digital...you have a lot of leeway).

It's very nice to see that you thought ahead about sound as well as image. Vocals were clear, present - I understood what your characters were saying. The music stood out while not becoming overbearing.

Visuals work as well; specifically the black and white segments. The introduction is nicely framed, but the colors and lighting are both a bit bland. Adding a nice key in there can really spruce things up in a good way. Overall, a well shot film that stands out just a bit. Good job.
