Cameras up here. If you are gonna play guitar, you better make sure you don't look down to play while singing. You intresting voice that I would love to hear more tho. You just come across more as a guitar player who happens to sing rather than a singer who plays guitar. Get what I am saying? But I can see you can surprise people.
I think you have a good voice, but your focus was on the guitar vs your vocals. Keep in mind this is a video based singing competition. Your video quality is very important - this means you need to perform to the camera.
Maybe next time record your guitar separately and then you can put adequate effort into your vocals and performance. Let us know that you recorded your own guitar too :)
question. is it legal in this competition to voice over so i can harmonize with myself, get some kind of shaker for a beat, and/or do a seperate guitar recording? thanks for the tips :) i'll definitely try to implement them
You can do whatever you want to 'add' to the performance as long as there are no cuts in your video, and you are singing live for the main vocals. I added a harmony line to one of my videos in the competition. So as long as your voice over is only for harmony, that should be fine.
you have a nice enough voice sweetie but you have too look at us.. If you cannot play without looking at the guitar then loose it.. this is a singing competition .. you need too connect with us the viewer.. good luck too you.. judge ETTA
It's great that you play, but you have to be able to play while looking at the camera - keep practicing. You have a nice voice, but you're spending so much of your concentration on the chords you're ignoring your vocals. Until you learn to play better I would suggest using backing tracks. Good luck!

Good job. Put "CreeIngles Idol Search Season 6 Audition" in the title of your video.
Look at the camer next time and if you're not comfortable playing...find a karaoke or instrumental backing track to sing along with.
