@classharvester For practical purposes, 40 ft is about the sweet spot for this, it had no problem pulling it in a variety of conditions except fairly wet spots, just doesn't have the traction in that case. You could go a bit bigger and it'd probably do alright except you'd notice it going uphill or in heavier ground.
@cnhfarms I like it alot, it certainly gets the job done. The only complaints for it would be relatively minor, the only breakdowns being largely electronics-related. Otherwise it accomplishes anything we ask of it - planting corn, air seeding, cultivating, chisel plowing, stalk chopping, graincart, pulling out the combine. I enjoy running it, love the transmission, power, etc. As far as I'm concerned it beats the hell out of anything else we have, except maybe the Versatile for wet crap.
Those are the greatest tractor ever we have a 240, 245, and are borrowing a friends 255 and his planter to finish seeding. can you get a vid of your versatile?
I agree, this is the second MX we've had, the prior one was an MX270 I think a few years ago. Just awesome. I was planning on getting a vid or two of working in the versatile but I kept forgetting my camera
