Questions from all atheists. Take time and then answer. Why human speak and posses WORDS. You know very well what is mean by WORDS and Languages. All lions makes same noise, all monkey makes same noise all dolphins make same noise and give same signals all around the world. But why we human speaks different WORDS and languages in different part of the world ? Why Chines and English Words are not same while Chines monkey and British monkey makes same sound ? Friend, Word matters. Bible says, In
@samaroo96 Actually, crows (and some other birds) have fairly complex language and use different dialects in different areas.
And a parrot taught to speak a human language will sometimes make up its own words and include them in its speech.
Apes can use language, but they don't have the right anatomy to be able to actually speak using complex sounds. If their anatomy was different, they would use speech like we do.
But complex language is largely unnecessary for survival.
Do you think people always had the anatomy that allows us to speak? Other apes (people are apes) have not evolved a voice box like humans. This adaptation is unique because of our need to communicate complex ideas. Other apes do not have what we would call "complex ideas", ergo there is no biological or environmental imperative to evolve a voice box.
@drche420 "This adaptation is unique because of our need to communicate complex ideas."
No. The voice box is not necessarily FOR speech. We only began to speak long after its development. All animals have varying sound-making abilities. Birds' abilities are far more complex than our own. (Some birds can easily imitate any sound they hear.) We are simply lucky to have a sound-maker that can do enough to allow easy distinction between several different sounds.
Improvisation is a huge factor in evolution. My favorite example is feathers. They were first evolved as insulation... like fur. However, some smaller feathered animals later began using them to glide short distances. It turned out to be a big help in survival, and started those animals on the road to sophisticated flight.
@Clawdragoons Your example shows that he's not a mathematician, and while math and science often go hand in hand, you don't have to be one to be the other. What stands out to me is his extreme lack of understanding regarding the big bang. Two asteroids colliding? Not even close. Either way, if he has any science education at all, he must be one of those fancy "christian scientists"....you know, the same people responsible for the creation museum.
@aussiesam01 He does. He calls himself "Sunderb00t." Get it? Pretty much goes down hill from there. You're welcome to check it out, but he's one of the less intelligent apologists on YT. That's saying quite a bit, but it's true.
@xJoeEDangerouslyx Aha, thanks for that. I've seen half of one of his videos before. Seems to go hand in hand with another silly character who calls himself ShockofGod. They are both very similar characters who crap all over Youtube boasting about how many arguments they've "won" against atheists. Not one ounce of sense between them both.
haha! So all those religious wars in the past were really atheists all pretending to be religious? How many wars have you ever heard of where it was an atheist fighting in the name of atheism? Find more of those than there are people who went to war in the name of God then you'll have a point.
the "atheist community" in austin....in AUSTIN? wow you guys are fucking warriors. they are deep in enemy terriotry beset on all sides by crazy creationists, conspiracy theorists and confederates...and thats just the Cs.
if you see these guys on the street show them some respect.
@Jayjon81 I love Atheist Experience bc they challenge people to think. And they give me a forum to inject light into their dark thinking, IOW refute their lies.
BUT they have blocked my from commenting on their tubes as have other atheists. But this is par for the course, bc atheists can only startle and deceive the unlearned. One that sees thru their lies is a threat to them and hence they ban me.
@j919or To believe in the new testament you have to kill his people*isrealites* :) making hitler a saint and the western world who stood upto the nazi party as satanists. Since your the son or daughter of a satanist your now in sin because the sins of teh father pass to the children in the bible xx have fun in hell.
@IseeRightThrough2you I loved his freestyle poetic lyricism. The reading left something to be desired, but clearly the author is a literary genius and if anyone can't see that, they are simply not well read enough. The wit and pacing of the wording along with the intentional punctuational irregularities, emphasized by the plethora of !, is pure arcane genius. I would not want to have to match wits with him.
Mankind is due for moving to a higher consciousness plane. The same way the suffering of gazelles killed by lions make the species stronger, the suffering of mankind will help us move to the next consciousness level. A greater good comes for the species. The next level is the rejection of greed, materialism and selfishness. Our current capitalist system need to collapse in order to achieve this. If you're not ready spiritually, and doesn't move up, you'll suffer. This is happening now, seek God.
My theory is that this is Sunderb00t. He references the time he "emailed the show" and he claims his name is John Smith. If you check out this cat's videos, he can barely speak English and has trouble articulating more than about 3 words at a time. It actually matches up pretty well. You can tell the degree of intellect we're dealing with here right off the bat. Apparently he thinks his "I'm making fun of Thunderf00t" thing is hilarious.
Haha, yea, there are some real winners out there. Another (transparent) case of lying in the name of god. Scientist my a**, sounds like this guy's education ended at grade 3, or he is a full flung graduate of Pastor Dave's Skoolin' Fer Idjits.

@adoptedoneathotmail i do not know nor care who the fuck jim jones is.....atheist is as much as a religion as say not smoking is a habit or not stamp collecting is a hobby.......
These guys are just being dickheads. The dude writing the letter might be some kid or something and they just look foolish to me making fun of him. This kind of shit makes me not want to watch any more of their programs.
@ex0gen sure, it could be some kid. it could be anyone, but it doesn't say. something this stupid deserves to be mocked, especially if whoever wrote it actually believes it. i would go as far to say whoever wrote it should be banned from any social contact with other humans. even better would be to snuff 'em out with a pillow and save the poor basterd from a life built around such stupidity and to halt the spread of this nonsense to any children he/she might have.
@a10miletooth But see that's just a bad attitude. The fact that these guys choose to read this letter and not one written by a more inteligent person tells me they are looking to attack people who hold the opposing position and not the position itself. They need to grow up and let go of whatever it is that has made them hate these people so much. It's just nonsense.
@ex0gen u do understand i was joking i hope. they do read things written by people better equipped for a real exchange. however, they're so few and far between. they don't hate the individuals at all. they use their show to shed light on some of the most rediculous crap to ever be thought up that people actually believe is true. for a good number of the positions people can hold in regards to religion. the possitions aren't rational. they leave themselves wide open to attack by doing that
@a10miletooth I could not tell if you were joking for the same reason that you mentioned that there are irrational people out there. but I hear you. But I think that they went to far in the treatment of that persons letter. dumb as that person may be, I think they went to far with reading that one and what they did I can't respect. They did not show any respect for the guy which is really just a form of bullying.
@ex0gen they don't have to show respect, what rule says you have to respect a person's stupidity? especially if the person is volunteering themselves to be mocked on live television by writting something so silly and lying about themself claiming to be a scientist. you can't expect them to just not air this kind of comedic gold. i would say they were completely fair to the person who wrote the letter. they didn't just start launching off personal attacks, they reacted to the letter.
@a10miletooth Showing respect for other human beings regardless of how intelgient they are or are not is part of being an mature adult. It doesn't matter what your religion, philosophy or lack thereof might be. The guy writting the letter is obviously either some really undereducated person, very young or maybe mentally handicapped to a small degree. In any case these "adults" on the program have no buisness reading something like that. That makes me loose all respect for them.
@ex0gen sure they do, they host the show for exactly that reason. to find out what people believe and why, and to share that with the viewers. it's not their fault when some moron calls in or decides to write a letter. saying that everytime some idiot writes or calls, "there's some off chance that they're mentaly challenged so we can't share what they offered up freely.", is a completely unreasonable expectation.
@a10miletooth No it isn't. The whole point is that the dude writing the letter was so obviously on a much lower intelectual cailber than the average person that it isn't about Atheists or Believers but simply about inteligent educated and mature people not picking on people who don't know any better. There is no excuse for that. Why not just read a letter from someone who actually knows how to use proper grammar and such and try to pole holes in the ARGUMENTS as opposed to what they are doing.
@ex0gen maybe they get bored of all the same tired arguments? nobody has presented anything that hasn't been demolished by basic logic. there aren't any arguments left that present anything new, they've all been picked at and demonstrated to be wrong or not at all any kind of reasonable conclusion for what we know. even though theyre doing this out of boredom, it doesn't change the fact that as the hosts of the show they can pick and talk about anything they want.
@a10miletooth Yeah but my gribe isn't with the debate itself as it is with the level of respect of the debaters. The dudes on this show had no buisness reading that letter unless they wanted to simply make fun of the guy. If they really had no better choices then this guy, which I know they did, they could have just not mentioned his spelling and grammar mistakes and just talked about what he was basically saying.
@ex0gen i know exactly what they were doing, so what? how do you "know" they had better choices at the time? did you send them an email with an amazing argument that nobody's ever seen before or know sombody who did? the point of the segment was to give an idea to people of just how rediculous some of the letters are that they recieve. why do you care so much that they read and made fun when they didn't give out the person's info? they did talk about it, even agreed with some of the points made!
@a10miletooth I highly doubt that they only get people like that writting letters, but even if that was true it would mean that the people watching this show are not very educated. There are plenty of educated people that have beliefs in the supernatural or are religious and they obviously do not comprise the individuals that call this show. If they did then we would not see that letter at all.
@ex0gen not one time did i ever say they only get people like this writting into the show. there are a good number of people who call in and write letter that they address on the air that make a decent agruement for their position. how many of these clips or entire shows have you actually seen? the majority of people calling in are not like this at all. what they all have in common is a belief in something with no rational backing. they believe it because they were told to or it just feels good.
@a10miletooth Exactly, I couldn't agree more with you that the majority of the people calling in are not people like the person writing the letter. Most are inteligent people for the most part. But if that is true, as you plainly admit, then there is no reason for them to have read that letter because they have other options concisting of inteligent people. The fact that they didn't illustrates my point.
@ex0gen times get tough, the longer we're on this planet and the more discussions we have there will be less and less intelligent arguments for god and supernatiral creationism. there aren't any left that are worth debating over even right now. they did it because they were bored and nobody else wrote in with anything worth mentioning. a lot of the people writting and calling in dont have opinions of their own, they just repeat something they hear or copy and paste from a website.
@a10miletooth But that contradicts what we just agreed to before that the majority of the people calling/writing in are competent and intelligent. So which is it? Also even if you say something like "well THAT DAY they did not have any good letters or callers" it does just justify what they did because the option of reading the letter without grammatical mistakes or summarizing the guys ideas and answering them was an option they did not peruse. This illustrates how childish they are.
@ex0gen i know right? its silly to think there are intelligent and competent people out there who hold such rediculous beliefs like satan made fossils just to fool us...... well there are and theres no excuse for it. i already said and agreed that they did it because they were bored and didnt have anything else to show in that segment. and youre judging them based on one single piece they did about some lying fool with bad grammar? how childish is that? theyre not responsible for contributers.
@ex0gen i know right? its silly to think there are intelligent and competent people out there who hold such rediculous beliefs like satan made fossils just to fool us... well there are and theres no excuse for it. i already said and agreed that they did it because they were bored and didnt have anything else to show in that segment. and youre judging them based on one single piece they did about some fool with bad grammar? how childish is that? theyre not responsible for contributers.

@a10miletooth No need to get emotional. Let's follow the logic. If as you admit they have a choice between less compotent people or more compotent people it only makes sense to go with the more compotent. They didn't in this case, which either means that they didn't want to or they couldn't. even if they couldn't on that ocation they still could have no presented the guy in that light because to do so is childish. An adult intelectual environment doesn't enage in shinanigans like that.
@adoptedoneathotmail I did not say you were illiterate, simply that you have not researched enough. I do not presume to know for a fact that evolution is how life BEGAN, simply that evolution is a fact. Again, transitional fossils show this, your very own DNA shows this... yes I have heard of "junk dna" and I dont see how that supports your argument at all, if anything it undermines it.
@adoptedoneathotmail Evolution is a proven fact, many people of religions beleive in evolution, the two are not mutually exclusive. You simply do not take every word in the bible literally, you can not do so logically- the earth is not 6000 years old, there were dinasaurs before human beings ect. If you do not understand evolution I again invite you to read a book. Maybe you should try reading about DNA.
Personally I believe that religion is simply a manifestation of mans inability to accept death. All religions I have heard about features an "afterlife" in one form or another like Heaven/hell, Valhalla, Field of Reeds e.t.c. And also reincarnation featured in Hinduism, Jainism and Islam. All of this boils down to one thing: Eternal existence. Man has, and will always, fear death and therefore will attempt to elude it. I dont believe in afterlifes..after all every good book has to have an ending
the universe is expanding . lol that always humors me . what exactly is expanding? time , matter , the gravity energy ? if something was always there , then how can it expand. again the transformation started . gravity is still holdng all the other forces togheter. like before the first big bang . gravity just won the battle and became the biggest the chain reaction is growing ,nothing expands
@eevil123 Yes natural selection does occur, but even if we say evolution is a plausible theory for life the earth is a trillion years too young. I am sorry, but there are way to many undeniable facts that disprove evolution...
Great point though eevil123 on the no proof either way. I would completely agree with you, and say in the end it is ultimately your choice whether to believe or not. The problem is one side speaks a whole lot louder than the other, and is convinces with deceit.
@frackme - Just like atheist claim that the Bible is just a book well I say to you that so are science "books", they are just books. Please refer me to some Journal articles, peer reviewed material..oh wait those journals were written by men just like the Bible. What do you do? Who do you trust? Come to the Gray area people you are trivializing life by trying to paint it black and white. If you believe, you believe if you don't, you don't. At the end of the day it's up to you. I believe Jesus!
@giovanone, Science books are based on facts gathered by observation and experimentation. The Bible is not based on facts gathered by observation and expermimentation. That's the difference. And contrary to putting yourself in the "gray area", your final statment puts you firmly in the theist camp.
@dmnemaine What? The Bible is not archeologically and historically proven? Where have you been? The fact that you say that makes me not want to even respond to this. I am in fact a Science major and believe in Jesus. I've been on your side you've never been on mine so you would not understand. I can teach you anything you need to know about controlled experiments and logging data. I would respect your comment more if you said " Yeah, the Bible exists but I just don't believe it" Lol..no proof!!
@giovanone, Some of the people and places in the Bible have their basis in history, but that in no wise constitutes "historical and archaeological proof". The Iliad also gets some historical people and places right. Do you consider that a factual book? To say that I have never been on your side is an invalid assumption on your part. In point of fact, I was a fundamentalist Christian for the first 32 years of my life. And if you are indeed a science major, I think you need to study some more.
@dmnemaine Tit for Tit my point exactly. I haven't been a Christian my whole life, so who is to say is right ? I have all the proof I need and my grades are excellent by the way. I'm acing atheist science classes, how ironic is that?..lol.. I believe in God but I still know a lot about this beautiful thing we call science. From larva to man..come on LMBO..from nothing to something and to nothing ever again..LMBOX2. I don't need a Phd to figure this one out. Good Day...I SAID GOOD DAY!!!
@giovanone, Again, the difference is that science has empirical evidence to back it up. The Bible does not. Those are the facts. Your argument from incredulity holds no water. By the way, there is no such thing as "atheist science". There is just science.
@giovanone: And you say the Bible is like a Peer Reviewed Journal? Are you sure you study science? 'cause one of the basic "tenets" of science is falsifiability. It's why Peer Reviewed Journals exist and get published, so people experiments can be tested. The Bible is supposed to be the inerrant word of God, thus it cannot be falsifiable. How are the two alike?
@giovanone: No, but you did say that the Bible, just like science journals, were written by humans, thus making them equal, in some form, when they are not, in the least. There is no evidence for creationism, no evidence for the flood, no real evidence of Nazareth existing. What's more, there is no evidence of miracles, from the parting of the Red Sea to resurrecting the dead. And it's even debated if the Jews were ever in Egypt as slaves.
@meaninter03 I honestly think you just like to hear yourself speak. People claim that the Bible has errors because Man wrote it, so I said that Science books are written by "Man" also so that argument is not valid. There is no evidence for a lot of things; just like there is no 100% proof of evolution. I have faith and that's all I need. I live it, I know what I find to be the truth and I don't need useless intellect to lead me in the right direction.
@giovanone: Useless intellect? You would dismiss the greatest gift your deity would have given you. And the arrogance to assume you're going in the right direction solely because it makes you feel good. Have you heard of the deadly sin of pride?
@meaninter03 What part of my explanation do you not understand? I am an educated person I have read many book, journals, etc..it is useless material, though not all. The greatest gift the Lord gave me is LOVE read your Bible. 1 Corinthians 13. " When I was a child I spoke as a child, I understood as I child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man I put away childish things. I am going in the right direction. I follow the Bible.
@giovanone Science is useless. That's a new one. Keep that one in mind next time you take medicine for anything. Or next time you drive, or next time you use a computer to talk to random strangers on the web. Totally useless. Pointless, really. No benefits whatsoever.
Do you endorse slavery, as the Bible does? What's your take on child sacrifice? Multiple wives? Genocide?
@meaninter03 I never said Science was useless..all I'm saying is that not all Science being taught is true. I've been working in the Science Field since 1998. I take medicine, have received Physical Therapy. I came to a personal conclusion that's all. I love everything about Science, it makes me love God even more. The Bible does not condone any atrocities you just mentioned. You are referring to the old Testament. Slaves were servants just as there are maids now. Not civil war slavery.
@meaninter03 What's so heinous about 1 Timothy 6? I want to hear your interpretation and I'll give you mine. Timothy was a pastor preaching against false doctrines and guarding public worshipping. I know my Bible!! maybe not as well as I should but I read it everyday so I have an understanding. I can go into detail about all the verses you posted, just give me a minute I have Science work to do.
1 Timothy 6: Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them.
That's about slavery. What part are you referring too. And, it's not metaphorical slavery, either.
@meaninter03 Exactly!!! The Bible teaches us to obey rule. I believe people that don't believe in God pick and choose their verses for their own benefit. Read Leviticus 25: 35-43 and tell me how heinous that is. If I was a slave today I would obey my master because it pleases God regardless if I was abused. Timothy does not condone mistreating slaves, it speaks against it.
@giovanone Cherry picking? Come on, man of science. It's not the Big Book of Pick 'n' Choose to suite your modern sensitivities. It is the word of God. It is LAW. And it endorses slavery. A loving God would have had the decency to say: "Slavery is evil. Cut it out."
Slavery is immoral. It is wrong! You can't own another human being.
The bible does say that you can beat you slave, as long as they don't die within a day or two, that's not wrong. And that's wrong.
@meaninter03 Yes it's immoral to the person mistreating but not to the person enduring. You are out of context. Slaves were given a time to serve and I believe it was 7 years. They had a home and food and masters that respected their servants. Servant (slaves) were not all chained up and fed only water and bread. I'm not picking and choosing, it is what it is!
@giovanone It's not out of context. How about Exodus 21:20-21 as context?
What's more, it was 6 years, and it only applied to Hebrews taken as slaves by Hebrews. What's more, the bible teaches you to trick the slaves, to keep them forever. Exodus 21:2-6
And are you really saying that slaveholders from 2000 years ago were better people than slaveholders from 200 years ago? What do you base that one on?
@giovanone Besides, it's not a metaphor of "slaves" in the "rat race" subject to "a political system." It's real slaves, 'cause they existed in that day. It's talking about real slaves, human beings as property.
You don't care that you might be committing apostasy?
What about Leviticus 11:10-12? Do you eat shellfish? Or, whatever lives in the water that's not fish? It's God's rule. Do you eat pork?
@meaninter03 No I don't eat that anymore because they are dirty animals and coming from the Nutritional Science background I know better. God is the greatest Nutritionist and through research I have verified this and I have my clients loving their diets without pork or dirty seafood. I still eat some fish. Pork is dirty food read up on the digestive process of a Pig and see why it's unhealthy.
@giovanone: OK. Pork's dirty. Trichinosis is horrible, as it has evolved to take advantage of the pig's digestive tract and kills humans as part of its life cycle. What'd shellfish do to deserve a black eye (so to speak)?
And, what's wrong with evolution? You've not answered that one yet.
@meaninter03 What'd shellfish do to deserve a black eye (so to speak)? I don't understand what you're saying here. Evolution theory is incomplete and flawed. I discussed that on an earlier post. The Bible states the God created life while evolution has an empty theory of how life began. There is no Scientific proof anywhere just theories.
@giovanone: Are you sure you've studied biology? And, are you sure you know how a theory works? 'cause, a scientific theory is based on evidence which is provided by various experiments that have been done and are peer reviewed.
Evolution doesn't speak of life's origin, it only accounts for speciation. I find it reasonable that someone who's studied biology would know this, but you must have missed that day at school.
And you claim to be a scientist? What you are is ...questionable.
@meaninter03 Since you're so smart, tell me where life began then how it evolved from an sponge to an Amoeba and so forth. You are preaching to the choir here man. I've heard it all before I'm not a Scientist never said I was and it's obvious you don't pay much attention to what I write because you keep asking the same questions. Yes theories have to be proven but until proven they are just theories. God created it all and that's my final answer!
@giovanone 23 hours ago you answered that you study science to my question. You said biology, chem. eng and nut. sci.. Your own words. You could have said I work in the field of, or whatever, but you answered that you study science. That does make you a scientist, and should give you a grounding in scientific theory, which you obviously lack.
@meaninter03 So now you're being Dogmatic and telling me what I am. You are too caught up in your own words. I guess you're hearing didn't evolve. Studying does not make me a Scientist thus reading the Bible does not make me a pastor. Does this make sense to you? You're probably too smart for your own good that simple things don't register. Maybe to a clueless individual you make sense but to me you sound like a parrot just repeating generalized dialogue.
@giovanone You said you study science. Your own post, 23 hours ago. Did you not? Studying it (and not just reading for pleasure, but really studying with degrees and universities) would entail that you'd know what I'm talking about. You could have said, I've read about this stuff, I've got some knowledge about, etc. You just said you study bio, chem. eng and nut. sci. You bore false witness. If nothing else, you lied by omission. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, thus being a fool.
@meaninter03 Get your vernacular straight. Degrees and Universities give you information but not necessarily wisdom. I don't rely on my degrees to justify my wisdom and knowledge. That would mean that I would believe in anything I was taught. It's called research beyond the classroom and youtube. You are a fool because you think you know it all. Beware lest anyone cheat you through Philosophy and empty deceit according to the tradition of Men and the world and not according to Christ.
@giovanone: I don't know it all, giovanotto. And all that I do know I didn't just learn in school.
Beware that prayer won't cure you, nor your loved ones, regardless of how badly you believe. Beware that in reading your bible you don't misconstrue GOD's word, lest you commit apostasy and wind up in hell forever for being a vain fool.
@meaninter03 Beware that prayer won't cure you, nor your loved ones, regardless of how badly you believe. Beware that in reading your bible you don't misconstrue GOD's word, lest you commit apostasy and wind up in hell forever for being a vain fool. what does this mean? Do you know what apostasy means? It means to renunciation of a political or religious belief. Vanity? because I believe in the Bible? Quit you're Bible thumping and pray and ask God to teach you not to condemn people.
@giovanone Falling away from Christ's word is apostasy. Go beyond just the first definition in the dictionary. And I don't believe in Christ, hence I won't be praying to him nor anyone else.
You're vain 'cause you think you can understand the word of God and you're vain 'cause you think you know more than the thousands of scientists who spend their entire careers doing science, creating theories, etc.
Really, all you've got is the Dunning Kruger effect.
@meaninter03 So then you're vain as well because you think you know more than I. I am confident I know the word of God. That is not vanity. Vanity has nothing to do with being 100% sure in something and you shouldn't even use it in this context. If you want to refute the Bible go read it everyday because that's what God wants. Let me guess you've read the whole Bible just like every other Atheist that claims they have. You read it once and put it away probably to collect dust.
@giovanone I trust the work of educated people over the remarks of someone who believes in conspiracies, yes. If that makes me vain, oh well. And, no thanks. The Bible's waay too poorly written for me to wanna pick it up again. That's really sad, 'cause its contents were voted upon by the Council of Nicaea. They could have at least made it legible if they went on to pick and choose (by vote no less) what the word of god should look like.
@meaninter03 Well I'm a very educated person and sorry I wasn't standing in a classroom setting to give you the warm and fuzzy feeling of learning. You're happy with being vain and that's the difference between us. I believe in conspiracies because they exist; do they not? whether they are true or false it's up to us to find out. I got my answers and I am HAPPY I have found the truth. I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

Were he a scientist, he wouldn't have stated the number as 1000000000000^2 (trillion to the second power). He would have said 10^24.
There are many other things he's said that show he's not a scientist, but as a science-minded person myself, that is what jumped out at me the most.
Clawdragoons 1 month ago
@Clawdragoons Your example shows that he's not a mathematician, and while math and science often go hand in hand, you don't have to be one to be the other. What stands out to me is his extreme lack of understanding regarding the big bang. Two asteroids colliding? Not even close. Either way, if he has any science education at all, he must be one of those fancy "christian scientists"....you know, the same people responsible for the creation museum.
morgothic420 1 month ago
@morgothic420 Like I said, there's plenty of things that show he's not a scientist.
But in defense of my comment, it is called "scientific notation" after all.

This is happening now, seek God.

ex0gen 6 months ago
@ex0gen sure, it could be some kid. it could be anyone, but it doesn't say. something this stupid deserves to be mocked, especially if whoever wrote it actually believes it. i would go as far to say whoever wrote it should be banned from any social contact with other humans. even better would be to snuff 'em out with a pillow and save the poor basterd from a life built around such stupidity and to halt the spread of this nonsense to any children he/she might have.
a10miletooth 6 months ago
@a10miletooth But see that's just a bad attitude. The fact that these guys choose to read this letter and not one written by a more inteligent person tells me they are looking to attack people who hold the opposing position and not the position itself. They need to grow up and let go of whatever it is that has made them hate these people so much. It's just nonsense.
ex0gen 6 months ago
@ex0gen u do understand i was joking i hope. they do read things written by people better equipped for a real exchange. however, they're so few and far between. they don't hate the individuals at all. they use their show to shed light on some of the most rediculous crap to ever be thought up that people actually believe is true. for a good number of the positions people can hold in regards to religion. the possitions aren't rational. they leave themselves wide open to attack by doing that
a10miletooth 6 months ago
@a10miletooth I could not tell if you were joking for the same reason that you mentioned that there are irrational people out there. but I hear you. But I think that they went to far in the treatment of that persons letter. dumb as that person may be, I think they went to far with reading that one and what they did I can't respect. They did not show any respect for the guy which is really just a form of bullying.
ex0gen 6 months ago
@ex0gen they don't have to show respect, what rule says you have to respect a person's stupidity? especially if the person is volunteering themselves to be mocked on live television by writting something so silly and lying about themself claiming to be a scientist. you can't expect them to just not air this kind of comedic gold. i would say they were completely fair to the person who wrote the letter. they didn't just start launching off personal attacks, they reacted to the letter.
a10miletooth 6 months ago
@a10miletooth Showing respect for other human beings regardless of how intelgient they are or are not is part of being an mature adult. It doesn't matter what your religion, philosophy or lack thereof might be. The guy writting the letter is obviously either some really undereducated person, very young or maybe mentally handicapped to a small degree. In any case these "adults" on the program have no buisness reading something like that. That makes me loose all respect for them.
ex0gen 6 months ago
@ex0gen sure they do, they host the show for exactly that reason. to find out what people believe and why, and to share that with the viewers. it's not their fault when some moron calls in or decides to write a letter. saying that everytime some idiot writes or calls, "there's some off chance that they're mentaly challenged so we can't share what they offered up freely.", is a completely unreasonable expectation.
a10miletooth 6 months ago
@a10miletooth No it isn't. The whole point is that the dude writing the letter was so obviously on a much lower intelectual cailber than the average person that it isn't about Atheists or Believers but simply about inteligent educated and mature people not picking on people who don't know any better. There is no excuse for that. Why not just read a letter from someone who actually knows how to use proper grammar and such and try to pole holes in the ARGUMENTS as opposed to what they are doing.
ex0gen 6 months ago
@ex0gen
What arguments would that be?
narutofan9999 6 months ago
@ex0gen maybe they get bored of all the same tired arguments? nobody has presented anything that hasn't been demolished by basic logic. there aren't any arguments left that present anything new, they've all been picked at and demonstrated to be wrong or not at all any kind of reasonable conclusion for what we know. even though theyre doing this out of boredom, it doesn't change the fact that as the hosts of the show they can pick and talk about anything they want.
a10miletooth 5 months ago
@a10miletooth Yeah but my gribe isn't with the debate itself as it is with the level of respect of the debaters. The dudes on this show had no buisness reading that letter unless they wanted to simply make fun of the guy. If they really had no better choices then this guy, which I know they did, they could have just not mentioned his spelling and grammar mistakes and just talked about what he was basically saying.
ex0gen 5 months ago
@ex0gen Instead they chose to make fun of him and his grammar. That is some childish crap and there is no way to defend it.
ex0gen 5 months ago
@ex0gen i know exactly what they were doing, so what? how do you "know" they had better choices at the time? did you send them an email with an amazing argument that nobody's ever seen before or know sombody who did? the point of the segment was to give an idea to people of just how rediculous some of the letters are that they recieve. why do you care so much that they read and made fun when they didn't give out the person's info? they did talk about it, even agreed with some of the points made!
a10miletooth 5 months ago
@a10miletooth I highly doubt that they only get people like that writting letters, but even if that was true it would mean that the people watching this show are not very educated. There are plenty of educated people that have beliefs in the supernatural or are religious and they obviously do not comprise the individuals that call this show. If they did then we would not see that letter at all.
ex0gen 5 months ago
@ex0gen not one time did i ever say they only get people like this writting into the show. there are a good number of people who call in and write letter that they address on the air that make a decent agruement for their position. how many of these clips or entire shows have you actually seen? the majority of people calling in are not like this at all. what they all have in common is a belief in something with no rational backing. they believe it because they were told to or it just feels good.
a10miletooth 5 months ago
@a10miletooth Exactly, I couldn't agree more with you that the majority of the people calling in are not people like the person writing the letter. Most are inteligent people for the most part. But if that is true, as you plainly admit, then there is no reason for them to have read that letter because they have other options concisting of inteligent people. The fact that they didn't illustrates my point.
ex0gen 5 months ago
@ex0gen times get tough, the longer we're on this planet and the more discussions we have there will be less and less intelligent arguments for god and supernatiral creationism. there aren't any left that are worth debating over even right now. they did it because they were bored and nobody else wrote in with anything worth mentioning. a lot of the people writting and calling in dont have opinions of their own, they just repeat something they hear or copy and paste from a website.
a10miletooth 5 months ago
@a10miletooth But that contradicts what we just agreed to before that the majority of the people calling/writing in are competent and intelligent. So which is it? Also even if you say something like "well THAT DAY they did not have any good letters or callers" it does just justify what they did because the option of reading the letter without grammatical mistakes or summarizing the guys ideas and answering them was an option they did not peruse. This illustrates how childish they are.
ex0gen 5 months ago
@ex0gen i know right? its silly to think there are intelligent and competent people out there who hold such rediculous beliefs like satan made fossils just to fool us...... well there are and theres no excuse for it. i already said and agreed that they did it because they were bored and didnt have anything else to show in that segment. and youre judging them based on one single piece they did about some lying fool with bad grammar? how childish is that? theyre not responsible for contributers.

I believe Jesus!
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone, Science books are based on facts gathered by observation and experimentation. The Bible is not based on facts gathered by observation and expermimentation. That's the difference. And contrary to putting yourself in the "gray area", your final statment puts you firmly in the theist camp.
dmnemaine 6 months ago
@dmnemaine What? The Bible is not archeologically and historically proven? Where have you been? The fact that you say that makes me not want to even respond to this. I am in fact a Science major and believe in Jesus. I've been on your side you've never been on mine so you would not understand. I can teach you anything you need to know about controlled experiments and logging data. I would respect your comment more if you said " Yeah, the Bible exists but I just don't believe it" Lol..no proof!!
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone, Some of the people and places in the Bible have their basis in history, but that in no wise constitutes "historical and archaeological proof". The Iliad also gets some historical people and places right. Do you consider that a factual book? To say that I have never been on your side is an invalid assumption on your part. In point of fact, I was a fundamentalist Christian for the first 32 years of my life. And if you are indeed a science major, I think you need to study some more.
dmnemaine 6 months ago
@dmnemaine Tit for Tit my point exactly. I haven't been a Christian my whole life, so who is to say is right ? I have all the proof I need and my grades are excellent by the way. I'm acing atheist science classes, how ironic is that?..lol.. I believe in God but I still know a lot about this beautiful thing we call science. From larva to man..come on LMBO..from nothing to something and to nothing ever again..LMBOX2. I don't need a Phd to figure this one out. Good Day...I SAID GOOD DAY!!!
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone, Again, the difference is that science has empirical evidence to back it up. The Bible does not. Those are the facts. Your argument from incredulity holds no water. By the way, there is no such thing as "atheist science". There is just science.
dmnemaine 6 months ago
@giovanone: What kind of Science do you study?
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 Biology, Chemical Engineering and Nutritional Science.
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone: And you say the Bible is like a Peer Reviewed Journal? Are you sure you study science? 'cause one of the basic "tenets" of science is falsifiability. It's why Peer Reviewed Journals exist and get published, so people experiments can be tested. The Bible is supposed to be the inerrant word of God, thus it cannot be falsifiable. How are the two alike?
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 Of course the Bible is not peer reviewed, I never said that. Science is though.
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone: No, but you did say that the Bible, just like science journals, were written by humans, thus making them equal, in some form, when they are not, in the least. There is no evidence for creationism, no evidence for the flood, no real evidence of Nazareth existing. What's more, there is no evidence of miracles, from the parting of the Red Sea to resurrecting the dead. And it's even debated if the Jews were ever in Egypt as slaves.
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 I honestly think you just like to hear yourself speak. People claim that the Bible has errors because Man wrote it, so I said that Science books are written by "Man" also so that argument is not valid. There is no evidence for a lot of things; just like there is no 100% proof of evolution. I have faith and that's all I need. I live it, I know what I find to be the truth and I don't need useless intellect to lead me in the right direction.
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone: Useless intellect? You would dismiss the greatest gift your deity would have given you. And the arrogance to assume you're going in the right direction solely because it makes you feel good. Have you heard of the deadly sin of pride?
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 What part of my explanation do you not understand? I am an educated person I have read many book, journals, etc..it is useless material, though not all. The greatest gift the Lord gave me is LOVE read your Bible. 1 Corinthians 13. " When I was a child I spoke as a child, I understood as I child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man I put away childish things. I am going in the right direction. I follow the Bible.
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone Science is useless. That's a new one. Keep that one in mind next time you take medicine for anything. Or next time you drive, or next time you use a computer to talk to random strangers on the web. Totally useless. Pointless, really. No benefits whatsoever.
Do you endorse slavery, as the Bible does? What's your take on child sacrifice? Multiple wives? Genocide?
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 I never said Science was useless..all I'm saying is that not all Science being taught is true. I've been working in the Science Field since 1998. I take medicine, have received Physical Therapy. I came to a personal conclusion that's all. I love everything about Science, it makes me love God even more. The Bible does not condone any atrocities you just mentioned. You are referring to the old Testament. Slaves were servants just as there are maids now. Not civil war slavery.
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone: Science is not absolute truth, by any extent. That is true. What science being taught is not true, though? How are you defining true?
meaninter03 6 months ago
Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT
Exodus 21:2-6 NLT
Exodus 21:7-11 NLT
Exodus 21:20-21 NAB
1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT (this one's particularly heinous)
Luke 12:47-48 NLT
Matthew 5:18-19 RSV (Jesus saying the old testament still stands.
Matthew 5:17 NAB (same thing)
Do you know your own Bible?
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 What's so heinous about 1 Timothy 6? I want to hear your interpretation and I'll give you mine. Timothy was a pastor preaching against false doctrines and guarding public worshipping. I know my Bible!! maybe not as well as I should but I read it everyday so I have an understanding. I can go into detail about all the verses you posted, just give me a minute I have Science work to do.
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone
And, it's not metaphorical slavery, either.
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 Exactly!!! The Bible teaches us to obey rule. I believe people that don't believe in God pick and choose their verses for their own benefit. Read Leviticus 25: 35-43 and tell me how heinous that is. If I was a slave today I would obey my master because it pleases God regardless if I was abused. Timothy does not condone mistreating slaves, it speaks against it.
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone Cherry picking? Come on, man of science. It's not the Big Book of Pick 'n' Choose to suite your modern sensitivities. It is the word of God. It is LAW. And it endorses slavery. A loving God would have had the decency to say: "Slavery is evil. Cut it out."
Slavery is immoral. It is wrong! You can't own another human being.
The bible does say that you can beat you slave, as long as they don't die within a day or two, that's not wrong. And that's wrong.
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 Yes it's immoral to the person mistreating but not to the person enduring. You are out of context. Slaves were given a time to serve and I believe it was 7 years. They had a home and food and masters that respected their servants. Servant (slaves) were not all chained up and fed only water and bread. I'm not picking and choosing, it is what it is!
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone It's not out of context. How about Exodus 21:20-21 as context?
What's more, it was 6 years, and it only applied to Hebrews taken as slaves by Hebrews. What's more, the bible teaches you to trick the slaves, to keep them forever. Exodus 21:2-6
And are you really saying that slaveholders from 2000 years ago were better people than slaveholders from 200 years ago? What do you base that one on?
meaninter03 6 months ago
@giovanone Besides, it's not a metaphor of "slaves" in the "rat race" subject to "a political system." It's real slaves, 'cause they existed in that day. It's talking about real slaves, human beings as property.
You don't care that you might be committing apostasy?
What about Leviticus 11:10-12? Do you eat shellfish? Or, whatever lives in the water that's not fish? It's God's rule. Do you eat pork?
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 No I don't eat that anymore because they are dirty animals and coming from the Nutritional Science background I know better. God is the greatest Nutritionist and through research I have verified this and I have my clients loving their diets without pork or dirty seafood. I still eat some fish. Pork is dirty food read up on the digestive process of a Pig and see why it's unhealthy.
giovanone 6 months ago
@giovanone: OK. Pork's dirty. Trichinosis is horrible, as it has evolved to take advantage of the pig's digestive tract and kills humans as part of its life cycle. What'd shellfish do to deserve a black eye (so to speak)?
And, what's wrong with evolution? You've not answered that one yet.
meaninter03 6 months ago
@meaninter03 What'd shellfish do to deserve a black eye (so to speak)? I don't understand what you're saying here. Evolution theory is incomplete and flawed. I discussed that on an earlier post. The Bible states the God created life while evolution has an empty theory of how life began. There is no Scientific proof anywhere just theories.
giovanone 5 months ago
@giovanone: Are you sure you've studied biology? And, are you sure you know how a theory works? 'cause, a scientific theory is based on evidence which is provided by various experiments that have been done and are peer reviewed.
Evolution doesn't speak of life's origin, it only accounts for speciation. I find it reasonable that someone who's studied biology would know this, but you must have missed that day at school.
And you claim to be a scientist? What you are is ...questionable.
meaninter03 5 months ago
@meaninter03 Since you're so smart, tell me where life began then how it evolved from an sponge to an Amoeba and so forth. You are preaching to the choir here man. I've heard it all before I'm not a Scientist never said I was and it's obvious you don't pay much attention to what I write because you keep asking the same questions. Yes theories have to be proven but until proven they are just theories. God created it all and that's my final answer!
giovanone 5 months ago
@giovanone 23 hours ago you answered that you study science to my question. You said biology, chem. eng and nut. sci.. Your own words. You could have said I work in the field of, or whatever, but you answered that you study science. That does make you a scientist, and should give you a grounding in scientific theory, which you obviously lack.
meaninter03 5 months ago
@meaninter03 So now you're being Dogmatic and telling me what I am. You are too caught up in your own words. I guess you're hearing didn't evolve. Studying does not make me a Scientist thus reading the Bible does not make me a pastor. Does this make sense to you? You're probably too smart for your own good that simple things don't register. Maybe to a clueless individual you make sense but to me you sound like a parrot just repeating generalized dialogue.
giovanone 5 months ago
@giovanone You said you study science. Your own post, 23 hours ago. Did you not? Studying it (and not just reading for pleasure, but really studying with degrees and universities) would entail that you'd know what I'm talking about. You could have said, I've read about this stuff, I've got some knowledge about, etc. You just said you study bio, chem. eng and nut. sci. You bore false witness. If nothing else, you lied by omission. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, thus being a fool.
meaninter03 5 months ago
@meaninter03 Get your vernacular straight. Degrees and Universities give you information but not necessarily wisdom. I don't rely on my degrees to justify my wisdom and knowledge. That would mean that I would believe in anything I was taught. It's called research beyond the classroom and youtube. You are a fool because you think you know it all. Beware lest anyone cheat you through Philosophy and empty deceit according to the tradition of Men and the world and not according to Christ.
giovanone 5 months ago
@giovanone: I don't know it all, giovanotto. And all that I do know I didn't just learn in school.
Beware that prayer won't cure you, nor your loved ones, regardless of how badly you believe. Beware that in reading your bible you don't misconstrue GOD's word, lest you commit apostasy and wind up in hell forever for being a vain fool.
meaninter03 5 months ago
@meaninter03 Beware that prayer won't cure you, nor your loved ones, regardless of how badly you believe. Beware that in reading your bible you don't misconstrue GOD's word, lest you commit apostasy and wind up in hell forever for being a vain fool. what does this mean? Do you know what apostasy means? It means to renunciation of a political or religious belief. Vanity? because I believe in the Bible? Quit you're Bible thumping and pray and ask God to teach you not to condemn people.
giovanone 5 months ago
@giovanone Falling away from Christ's word is apostasy. Go beyond just the first definition in the dictionary. And I don't believe in Christ, hence I won't be praying to him nor anyone else.
You're vain 'cause you think you can understand the word of God and you're vain 'cause you think you know more than the thousands of scientists who spend their entire careers doing science, creating theories, etc.
Really, all you've got is the Dunning Kruger effect.
meaninter03 5 months ago
@meaninter03 So then you're vain as well because you think you know more than I. I am confident I know the word of God. That is not vanity. Vanity has nothing to do with being 100% sure in something and you shouldn't even use it in this context. If you want to refute the Bible go read it everyday because that's what God wants. Let me guess you've read the whole Bible just like every other Atheist that claims they have. You read it once and put it away probably to collect dust.
giovanone 5 months ago
@giovanone I trust the work of educated people over the remarks of someone who believes in conspiracies, yes. If that makes me vain, oh well. And, no thanks. The Bible's waay too poorly written for me to wanna pick it up again. That's really sad, 'cause its contents were voted upon by the Council of Nicaea. They could have at least made it legible if they went on to pick and choose (by vote no less) what the word of god should look like.
meaninter03 5 months ago
@meaninter03 Well I'm a very educated person and sorry I wasn't standing in a classroom setting to give you the warm and fuzzy feeling of learning. You're happy with being vain and that's the difference between us. I believe in conspiracies because they exist; do they not? whether they are true or false it's up to us to find out. I got my answers and I am HAPPY I have found the truth. I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

@giovanone Gotcha. Ignorance is bliss.
