@clintonearlwalker It's a good movie - and it isn't the NUNS that were worked like slaves. It was the 'fallen' girls and women that were confined and forced to work in the laundries, sometimes their whole lives.

This movie is so powerful... but just because something as awful as this happened, doesnt mean the entire religion is to blame. yes, the catholic church has had a lot of scandals, but they are much more widely publicized due to the fact that Catholicism is one of the leading religions in the world. This movie is great and im so glad i learned more about something so terrible/important!

@SierraLD the attitude towards women unmarried who became pregnant was that they wud go to hell. they were locked in these places so they could "payback" to god, for being so bad. but in reality, they did nothing wrong. actually one of the girls is locked up for being to pretty. that she may cause trouble in the future
