It does matter in the end because every vote is a ballot in the rating contest. Your video was the highest rated for a while and during that time it was only due to everyone else getting onestarred. I made a video on my main account asking my subscribers to rate me back up due to this, and since then your video also went down from 3 stars to 2.9. It's obvious that my subs one-starred you as well, but even with all my subs doing so, it's obvious someone has been rate spamming.
