  • Haha my schnauzer does this!

  • He likes fast food! :D

  • Beautiful dog. She looks to be more border collie or Aussie than heeler. But really, gorgeous!

  • @oPLANBo Right on.

  • Eat,Spot..

  • It seems to me that she is border collie cross blue heeler. my aunty has a kelpie cross border collie that has that same shortened mane.

  • Border collies does it too !

  • Ha my Cattle dog does the same thing sometimes!!!

  • Part Aussie shepherd perhaps?

  • i have 2 ACD's... smartest dogs i have ever had. i dont want any other breed for the rest of my life. amazing dogs.

  • my blue heeler does that too!

  • we think he's scooping invisible dirt on the food to bury it for later, if you think this is so, thumbs up!

  • 2 cute! I wondered why pickles, my blue heeler, buried a stuffed chipmunk today...she did the exact thing this dog is doing, buring food for later

  • heh cute

  • Can't wait to get my ACD pup!

  • This is a half cattle dog and she wants to bury the food for later. If she was outside, she'd be nudging dirt on top of the food with her nose....common behaviour for cattle dogs :)) Mine does it all the time.

  • So glad to see someone else's heeler do this. My dog does it all the time. She does not like metal bowls either. Eats off a plate cuz she thinks she's human and will not eat canned food unless spooned to her. Eats kibble from bowl but anything else, gotta be off silverware. If I could only get her to use the toilet!

  • Ziptie was here and subbed you...Check out Zipties channel and plz sub back...Thx!

  • How strange and I just thought my cattle dog was potty when she did this, very funny!

  • I have an ACD now and she does the same thing. If her food is outside, she will do the same motion at times and cover her food so she can come back for it later. It is a instinctual thing when they arn't hungry to "hide" the meal for later.

  • thats not a pure bred acd it looks half sheep dog

  • i had a blue heeler,

he used to do this to his food also....not sure y?

  • No te enojes, solo era una broma. (just Kidding)

  • es una mexcla muy rara de ACD, lo mezclaste con un pajaro o que? parece que tiene plumas en las patas...

  • yes, she's part exotic bird, for sure. ;) very special.

  • when i give my dog a pig ear or a bone, she will hide it with a sock in the middle of the floor. its so cute

  • lol my blue healler does the same thing every feeding

  • She sure is pretty! I agree that she is probably 'burying' it. Perhaps to save it for later, or to protect it from another pet. We give our dogs a reasonable amount of time and then up go the bowls, whether they're done or not. I'd bet that if you picked up her bowl after she looked like she was done that she wouldn't do that. It looks to me like she's asking for just that. Sweet girl.

  • My Cattle Dog does the exact same thing!

Sometimes he pushes the food right out of the bowl.

He hasn't been doing it as much lately. Maybe he's come to reallize that he doesn't have to hide it?

  • good

  • She is showing the behavior to bury her food, a somewhat common thing among dogs of any breed. If she were outside and her food were not in a dish she would be pushing dirt, leaves or whatever to cover it to save it for later.

  • well.

seems to be an australian cattle dog mix, maybe with a border collie. Both breeds are workoholics, do you do dogsports with her? maybe she's just bored - dog like her need a lot of work.

  • Ha! That was Great! I added it to my blog (www.dogblog123.blogspot.com)

  • Aw, pretty dog!

  • Maybe she is requesting a change on the menu!
