Oh, I wish so much it was just a spin-off of Deus Ex, set in a different universe or the story written from the beginning... Devs gave us choices at the end of the game and some of them doesn't seem to lead to the original. Mech augs ftw!

Dlc is usually for replayability or added enjoyment in a game and should only be made after the game gets out of its beta stage. Of course it would it be wrong for developers to have that already on the disc, like many do, and make you pay to unlock it. If they do do something like that, the dlc should be free or $2 at most.
If you hate dlc just wait for the inevitable "Super Duper Mega Ultra Deluxe GOTY Edition." I never buy dlc because they take shit out of the game to sell.
They've turned a game that was $59.99 into a game that's $399.99 right under our noses. Pretty soon you'll have to pay the $59.99, play the game and get to the last level but will be forced to download the DLC for $39.99 to complete the game. You watch, it's coming.

It is not due to them not including the DLC on disk, its the fact that they have time to create new content, besides its coming out like a month later after release.

An this is the way pretty much every company runs, taking examples like COD, GEARS, HALO an even other titles like mass effect or fallout all follow this protocol. What else do you expect the devs to do once the game is finished. The marketing isn't really there job so they are free to do whatever they want.
I already beta tested this DLC. Its not bad, just a lot of predictable situations... You're in a big ship for 5 days, that's all I remember. I still enjoyed it.
I dont mind paying for DLC as long as its actually worth it... for example some of DAO/DA2/ME2 werent any good, while some were, just wait for actual user reviews instead of buying the damn hype companies make.
deus ex is fucking amazing! i can advise everybody to play it - you wont regret it! But i dont like the way they handle dlc - i mean if they released something like that after 2 months it would be ok but this game is like 2 weeks available to play and it seems like they worked on that before it actually was released (and who knows how many dlcs may come after this one?)

Good games sell on the PC regardless of Piracy, most Pirates wouldn't buy the games anyway and it makes no difference if they download them or not, and Pirates often review and talk about the games they download so if the game is good they actually help promote sales.
That's 76 bucks total. You'll have to buy $20 worth of Microsoft points., 4 dollars of which will be wasted on Zune. So that's $80. Another DLC makes it 100. Another, 120. Another 140. Another 160. and so on and so on. You just paid $160 for a game. See: Fallout 3 for example.

Why does everybody have such a problem with DLC? Sure it adds an extra cost to a game but lets not forget that the dev teams put their hearts and souls into making these games that everybody loves. Sure there is corporate greed factor to the whole thing and there is plenty of DLC that's over priced and sub-par but it's up to the consumer which things they want to invest their time and money in. DLC also adds replay value and new content to keep the game new and fun.
@S7UP1D17Y I would rather have this dlc than nothing at all, I love playing this game but it gets boring playing it to much so this dlc is welcomed, plus this does tie in with the story, these were the few days jensen did not remember after getting on the ship to save the scientist.

Game was decent for a 2 time play through 1 for pacifist and foxiest/legendary other to go nuts and shoot everything) and that was it. Failed to live up to either previous game and has been traded already. Shame Square had to get in on this game but then without them I Don't suppose it would of been made.

That's 76 bucks total. You'll have to buy $20 worth of Microsoft points., 4 dollars of which will be wasted on Zune. So that's $80. Another DLC makes it 100. Another, 120. Another 140. Another 160. and so on and so on. You just paid $160 for a game. See: Fallout 3 for example.

FFS really? I played this game, Finished it as I did with DX1 (I dodged DX"2" as I looked like trash) and they have to profiteer some more...... this game is legendary why ruin it by adding shit on, completly destroys the game, if they remake DX1 I will loose it.....

They probably created the DLC during the 2-3 month "GOLD" (where the game is compleated, they are bassaicaly just waiting untill release) stage of Deus Ex. Still, i'm sure they could of added it in the full game.

Why does everybody have such a problem with DLC? Sure it adds an extra cost to a game but lets not forget that the dev teams put their hearts and souls into making these games that everybody loves. Sure there is corporate greed factor to the whole thing and there is plenty of DLC that's over priced and sub-par but it's up to the consumer which things they want to invest their time and money in. DLC also adds replay value and new content to keep the game new and fun.

Game was decent for a 2 time play through 1 for pacifist and foxiest/legendary other to go nuts and shoot everything) and that was it. Failed to live up to either previous game and has been traded already. Shame Square had to get in on this game but then without them I Don't suppose it would of been made.
