Is sand down with 320 and follow it with 400
If you like. Now you can use that as your base coat so you won't have to use primer

if the paint is original and in good condition i dont need to take it back to bare metal do i?
if i take it back with 80 grit to just where i can see the original primer can i then prime over that?
