Shaun Cassidy IS the brother of David Cassidy ("Partridge Family" fame). The mother of both boys is Shirley Jones (also from the "Partridge Family"). Their father was the late Jack Cassidy (who played a murderous magician in one of the "Columbo" movies).

of a team of mystery book writers(the other played by
Martin Milner) who kills Martin Milner's character after he
chooses to break off the partnership and threatens to
reveal to the public that he and not Cassidy had been the
one actually writing the words. The episode was written by
Steven Bochco and directed by Steven Spielberg and was
titled Murder By The Book, aired on NBC on September 15,
