I was an extra in the Part One video of PufnStuf (Shot on the Universal lot). I am the one in the gold shirt which was provided by the studio. Jack was a true gentleman and amazing talent. He will be missed.
Jack Wild was amazing, what a talent. "Flight of the Doves" is one of my favourite movies ever, and I am in the process of writing a musical version of the story, mainly because of jack.
thats not him singing.......but i nkow it doesnt really matter......he is definately the best artful doger ever he was soooo soooo sooo talented he could SING< DANCE AND ACT he was great ........we miss you jack stay WILD!!!
He was so fit as a teen! It makes me so sad to see pictures or interviews of him when he is older! The drinking and smoking really ruined him and its so sad, I will never take up drinking and smoking its a terrible habbit, and I love you Jack Wild! You are amazing no matter what!
@saltybugaloo That picture was Jack saying goodbye to that crazy family of singers, The Cowsills. He spent a day with them back in the early 70's. Probably a publicity thing.
Oh WOW! Every girl I knew here in Canada was in love with David Cassidy or Donny Osmond.. I was SOOO in love with Jack Wild! Wrote to him once.. burned the letters before sending.. I was SOOO shy! Jack.. you ARE the best! You ALWAYS will be!!! I LOVE YOU!! XOXOXOXXOO
Really where are you from?? Im a sixteen year old girl from Canada and I absolutely love Jack Wild! He is such a Gem!! I miss him so much it is almost unreal which is wierd because im not even of his generation but I actualy did cry when I found out he died I love him so much when he was in Oliver! and in Melody
Wow, this is going way back. Saw him in Oliver Twist and was taken aback by his acting abilities. Went on to watch Flight of the Doves and H.R. Puff n Stuff. God Bless him for leaving us with something wonderful.
i love your sweet tribute of jack wild!specially because you have put all pictures of jack wild like the last one who i think he looked so peacefull thank you so much!
My uncle Benny took my cousins and I to see this when it first came out whenIi was 7 and it is just fantastic that it still holds the same charm even today. Thank you uncle Benny for urning me to great movies!
Lol??? LOL???? WHAT DO YOU MEAN, LOL????? IT'S NEVER FUNNY WHEN SOMEBODY DIES!!! Especially if they die of cancer! please don't make fun of him...........
Jack, they did not come better, went with Mark Lester like fish goes with chips, Melody, should have got an Acadamy Award. You will be missed but forever young.
That's true. Where'd you get this song from? The soundtrack? Anyway, does anyone have a picture to see what Michael Goodman looks like? (The Dodger singing this song, in the Oliver! version of 1962/1963?) Because Im dying to see what he looks like.
Awwe, when I found this out yesterday, I was actually dissapointed. It sounds the same a bit, except this guy's notes are sort of different, and his expression when he sings. But I compared Jack and him singing, then I noticed different. But I also like this guys accent.
so sad... most around here are too young to remember. I had pics of him all over my room in the early 70s. there was never a better Artful Dodger. such a loss.
I first saw "Oliver" in the late '70's on tv. I immediately got a HUGE little girl crush on 'The Artful Dodger'. It lasted well into my teens. RIP sweet Jack.
He was only 53 when he died.. in his last pictures.. he really looks more like 83. His death was the result of a lifetime of HEAVY smoking. He is bloated up from cancer treatments.. and in his last picture I think he's had his tongue and possibly entire jaw removed. Tip... DON'T SMOKE! Jack was extremely talented. He didn't look too bad not that many years ago. He would make appearances with HR Pufnstuff.
I think that smoking should be banned. It killed Jack Wild and it killed Walt Disney as well! Smoking is the demise of so many great things!!!! Smoking is terrible.......
WAHHHHHHHH i can't belive he's dead yo, he was my first crush lol when i was like 7 When he played Doger in Oliver omg..he stole my ehart..he was soo talented

1 question, why have you used the Consider Yourself version where Jack Wild is not singing?
Couldn't you find the one with Jack?
(He's version is the best)

I realize it would have made more sense with Jack singing it...but...you know.
