@COD4Fanboy134 How would you know? My only problem with the "habitable zone" thing is it's the right zone for Earth life. Other life forms would be adapted to their different world with its different conditions. Also, its not the same distance as Earth is to the sun, its actually a LOT closer, which is why the planet always holds one side of it towards the sun, like the moon does to the earth. Gliese 581 is a lot smaller and cooler than our sun, so this planet is much closer to be "habitable."

theres obviusly bacteria there, if we went on that planet we brought some sort of germ with us, even if we didnt go ON the planet there has to be some type f germ, if they have dirt and grass i can imagine that theres some sort of bacteria there..just sayin :P

I like how in that first habitable zone model, it shows Venus and Mars outside the habitable zone. I would think people should have learned by now that Mars and Venus are easily within the habitable zone. Their atmospheres are the main reason they aren't similar temperatures.

we need to come up with some sort of sling shot that can catapolt the spacecraft faster than the speed of light to the planet. it would be made (spacecraft) out of diamond, so it's impossible for it to break

How do scientists know it is in a habitat zone other than the same distance from the sun like earth but even planets thats in the same distance of the sun of earth probably wouldnt support life -.-

@COD4Fanboy134 How would you know? My only problem with the "habitable zone" thing is it's the right zone for Earth life. Other life forms would be adapted to their different world with its different conditions. Also, its not the same distance as Earth is to the sun, its actually a LOT closer, which is why the planet always holds one side of it towards the sun, like the moon does to the earth. Gliese 581 is a lot smaller and cooler than our sun, so this planet is much closer to be "habitable."

I believe there are suppose to be 2 telescopes, one in each hemisphere on the earth and they are are due to finish between 2016-2018. and 20 light years would be a long time because it would take 20 years to get there travelling at the speed of light

It's definitely more rewarding in terms of ROI (return of investment) to improve life for everyone here on earth by clever means, that is refraining from producing the monoxyde chemical substances (CO, NO, SO) and refraining the chopping of wood. CO² is definitely not a poison but a boon for growing plants.

i wish i would be in planet glieese 581g but they say it takes 20 lights year to get there wtf 1 second of light is 106,827 something and if its 20 light years then think about it how long wtf i think if we start going now then my great great great great great great grandsons might reach it and i will never be able to reach it if only there was a potion that would make us live forever and make us stay young forever also :'(
