yours is already clever i see

  • Pudder68 your a nob they come in alsorts of colours.very adorable pup...

  • My favorite breed....... I can't wait to own one! Izzy is adorable!

  • your dog is so cute! How young was she when you filmed this? : )

  • SO SO SO SO CUTE! Blue merle border collies are my favourite! And this one has talent!

  • Luuuuv these colors!!!

  • in my opinion dogs in this age should learn to be quiet and sleep a lot

  • My Blue Merle Border Collie is just 12 weeks (Male) and is a smashing pup... also click training and he is training me very well !!

  • Is very good!

  • @pudder68 Google bryningbordercollies, you will see the variety of colours of border collies. And she most definitely is 100% collie!

  • @pudder68 i love how people try to act like u dnt kno wat kind of dog u have. this is the 2nd video where someone tried to correct the owner. learn your breeds. aussies are stocky and almost never have tails.

  • @pudder68 try finding zak george here on youtube, look at his dog supernova and tell me thats not a blue merle bc :) in fact, check out Dogs 101 where you can see supernova (and zaks two other bc's and himself) appear! they also appear in red merle and the normal pattern but in red instead of black but its not all that common.

  • @pudder68 Obviously don't know anything about border collies!

  • @pudder68 You shouldn't be speaking if you do not know the true facts of border collies.

  • @pudder68 Wow really? You must be a complete moron.

  • i have a border collie pup, she knows sit, shake, hi 5, lay down, roll over both ways, spin around, back up and go to bed...i want her to weave my legs and she just isnt catching on to follow the treat and click.. any suggestions?

  • it looks like Australian Shepherd

  • she's so beautiful!!

  • You are right in the fact that they love to be kept busy but we didn't find Izzy particularly hard to raise as she loves to train. We are fortunate enough to work from home so she is rarely left alone for more than an hour but same goes for most breeds, it's never good to leave them alone all day, it leads to boredom, then usually destruction and overall bad behaviour!

  • I heard that Border Collies are hard to raise...in the sense that they are so smart, they need to be kept 'engaged', and provided with challenges and training...

I guess you can't keep a border collie unless you don't have to leave home for work for hours at a time?

  • @psb1964 they have such a strong desire to work so it is important to keep them stimulated and give them new things to learn. I had a BC on our cattle farm and he was just addicted to being out all day, rounding up cows or just running alongside the 4x4 bike. He would lay down for a sleep then be off again an hour later! Heaven forbid if he had to stay behind, the neighbouring farms would hear him howling in protest LOL

  • Beautiful puppy!

  • can anyone tell me where to find blue merle border collie breeder near san francisco?

  • What a smart puppy you have!

  • i just got a blue merle border collie shes so cute and reli intelligent onli 8 weeks old nd she nearly house trained already not bad ive onli had her for 6 days :)

  • awww! You dog was smarter than mine at 12 weeks than mine is now! I've been trying to teach my dog 'bang' for months and she still won't do it :L oh well. BC's are gorgeous and so smart, i am going to get one as my next dog :D

  • @apathy404 not all dogs are born with tails. some breeds are born without tails.

  • This is so sweet (: i would love a blue merle to do agility with <3 but i already have four dogs and my parents think thats enough :( but anyway.. gorgous dog and amazing she picked it up so quick!!! x

  • Can you write how did u taught her to do those tricks please

or pm me please, bcz i got a border collie 10wk old and he barely listens to my orders. The only thing he understands (and not even every time) is come here ;S

  • Super cute... too bad a couple of people in the comment section feel the need to be rude to each other for no reason.

I just got my 1st border collie, and I LOVE her! I called her Agnyss :) So far she knows, sit, lay, sit pretty (beg) and she loves to play search and rescue (my little boy hides and then calls her name)

  • @sweetpeaomine Thanks for your comments, I have removed the offensive posts! Good luck with Agnyss x

  • Where was this puppy purchased from or bred by any info thanks.

    Hopewindfarm@gmail.com

    Thank you

  • @hopewindfarm Hi, we got Izzy from a breeder in Birmingham UK, but she has now retired from breeding Borders. Good luck in your search!

  • yes they are merle collies, austrailien shepherds are slightly different in size and broadness.

  • Borders are such amazing dogs! Unfortunately, I've never owned one myself, but I'm planning on getting one sometime in the next few years for agility and herding trials.

Border collies are bred for their work ethic, not their looks. Though, yeah, the most popular colors are black & white or red & white, they come in many different colors. There's blue merle (obviously), red merle, lilac, blue, yellow, sable, saddle, tri, and even brindle.

  • she looks so tiny for 10w..

  • are you sure this is a border collie you see the Merle in Australian shepherds not border collies

  • Google bryningbordercollies and check out their collie colors page. I hope this helps with your question :)

  • @Cocis66 i did your right boarder collies are merle also. Never new that. I have two border collies and they are both tri black brown white. My next one will no doubt be a merle

  • @apathy404 fuck sake...clueless...

  • @apathy404

Border collies are bred for their intelligence not for their coat. They are one of the only breeds without a real color standard. Black and White is most popular but they come in all sorts of colors. :)

That puppy has an excellent attention span. XD mine is 4 months he knows the basics but his attention span isn't that great. Amazing though it's slowly getting better everyday.

  • @apathy404 Border Collies can be this color too. There wouldn't be this many videos about "Blue Merle Border Collies" if they couldn't. Just saying. I know your question was already answered, but you know...... :)

  • @apathy404 Also, Australian Shepherds have naturally docked tails.

  • @ZangyChetari no they dont naturally means in nature they come out that way but its done when they are young. And not all have it some believe its not right seeing the asuie's are become more of a family dog. they still are great hoarders though like i said b4 i have 2 boarder collies and an ausi

  • @apathy404 I should say bobbed, sorry. And not all of them are born like that. Animal Planet is quite misleading. Aussies are great hoarders? I think you should read over your comment before you send.

  • w jednej sesji klikamy jedno zachowanie...

  • Beautiful puppy....

  • Cute Dog

  • why she seems unhappy

  • @we1vvei I don't think she is unhappy; instead she just looks really focused on her work. Border Collies look like this often when they are thinking about a job or task.

  • wow, shes so small for 12 weeks :D

  • omg imin love

  • Aww.. what a good girl! And SO pretty!! :)

  • Great pup ;D

I love her ears :) she's so cute

  • I love BCs...

  • oh wow :) i love blue merle's mine does agility!

  • Border Collies are the cutest dogs

  • wow!

    beatiful!

    i like border collie

  • cute pup blue merles are my fav!! check out my 2 girls on my vids :D

  • What is true with BC if you dont "work" them enough they will become "self employed" and you will find stuff chewed, holes dug and garden rearranged! our BC is 12 with heart failure but he still walks out and wants to do things that if we allowed would kill him. Great company but allowed a burglar help them selves!

  • I have an aussie, similar to the BC. They are just highly energetic. They need tons of exercize and a place to run. The more you can work with them the better the dog you will have.

  • so cute.. and good job!

  • aaaw so cute

  • haha I LOVE the one ear up!

  • Love these dogs! xox

  • lol its like dogs will do anything for a treat

  • border collies just LOVE to do things for you, and the treat is just a bonus.

they thrive on learning new things.

well, all borders i have had and known have, anyway

  • coz they are intelligent... therefore require lots of mental stimulation :)

  • thats why they say you shouldnt use them as a regular housepet unless you know what youre getting into.

they need CONSTANT mental AND physical stimulus, or they just go insane (literally in some cases).

did you know that borders were (a few years ago, i dont know about now) the most abandoned pedigree dog in the UK? because owners couldnt cope with them being so active, and they ignored them and the dogs went crazy, so they just ditched them.

i used to donate to the BCT (border collie trust)

  • i no, im interested in getting one.

i do regulary exercise so that shouldnt be a problem, plus im taking it to dog obedience to keep it mentally stimulated

im not getting it for a couple months, so ive still got a while to plan it all :)

  • @krisdgL check "kikopup"s channel. she has how to videos. she is a amazing clicker trainer and her dogs are amazing shes has a Chihuahua and a blue Merrel border collie. amazing

  • I have a border collie and it's really not that much more work than your average dog. People exaggerate their needs too much. Poodles and German Shepherds are actually ranked just below BCs in intelligence but you never hear people saying how they need an extreme amount of mental stimuli.

  • but its the physical as well as the mental stimulation that makes then more work.

i dont find them HARD work, but it COULD be less work if i had a different breed.

both of mine are crazy, 24/7. i know they are sometimes fairly placid, but i have never owned one like that myself.

my oldest is 11 now, but still runs around and acts like a 2 year old. she just gets pain from arthritis and tired and slows quicker. but she will still walk all day long if you let her

  • @w0bbl3r In America it's pittbulls. People try to use them as guard dogs it's sad

  • Well dogs will do anything for positive responses. weather it be a treat or a toy. that's why positive reinforced dogs are much more reliable than dogs that are trained with prong collars, choke collars and yelling, hitting..ect..

  • Hahah, you shot her! Awesome :-)

  • i love the black/white/and the blue on your dogg it looks so cutie

  • Beauty &the brains, I can't wait till I get my own when I get older! :)

  • at such a young age she is fuking smart

  • i never knew border collies could have a blue merle color :) its really beautiful XD

  • those eyes are incerdible arent they?

best when thye have two different coloured eyes, one blue and one brown. they are beautiful

  • Smart dog, Izzy.

  • Aww soo beautiful!!

  • I'm getting one for me birthday in August and calling it pebbles!

  • She's gorgeous!

  • You killed her! OH NOES!

    She's so CUTE!

  • she is so smart and cute i have one named rico and it can do any trick u can imagine

  • You Killed Izzy !

    Haha :P

  • i love border collies

    I couldnt live without mine

  • I could faint from all the CUTENESS:)! What a beautiful blue merle you have. Where did you get her?
