I can't wait untill the release of the new EBR bikes that are on their website but cannot click on. Gonna get myself a Buell soon and hopefully my next bike will be an EBR.
Good job! This is the first american build sportbike which can compare to european of japanese bikes! Only one question: what about the electronic technology package? (traction control, mapping options, data download etc... )
Just one hour ago I put myself on waiting list for this 100 lucky ones who will lay their hands on this piece of art made in USA. Mr. Erik Buell is in this moment ONLY guy in the world which can talk with Mr. Tamburinni on same level regarding super-bikes. I believe that explain all ! And I will get money for this bike honest way or hard way but I'll get it ! Mr. Erik, thank You for this beauty ! By the way, H-D and bike's look like SUCKS, big time !
Passionate people like wishes to be among 100. In actual fact, 50 will boast about owning it, 50 might be crashing it. But truth be said, this is ONE HELL OF A BIKE! What an iconic sound.
Well i know i speak for all Buell fans when i say Come on Eric keep up the good work and get back in the "standard streetbike" market. And dont worry we'll keep your XB's and 1125's running strong while we wait.
The main muffler is under the bike; the secondary carbon fiber canister is a resonator to take off 4dB of sound so we can pass noise tests. The two smaller outlets on it actually reduce sound without removing power. Different than other solutions, but it works better. If noise doesn't matter, then we have the race slip-on that Geoff is using in AMA Superbike.
What a pretty looking bike. The HP numbers look great as well out of a twin. But my question is, why that ugly exhaust ? Is it your way of saying "go buy a aftermarket exhaust " cause an Akra or Termi will look sick on it and will probably make it the best looking bike out there. welcome back!
Wow, so much better than those shitty harley engines! Thank God the let him go so he would do his own thing. That cam chain looks like a little bit of a pain in the ass to slip over that gear...
My god I wish I could afford something like that. I can't wait to see if something comes out in the "standard bike/streetfighter" configuration. My XB12Stt has served me so well, even on long trips. Just had my first ever problem, charging system failure. I'll keep this bike as long as I can procure or make parts for it. Still hankerin' for an upgrade thought ;) God created Erik Buell to make life better for the people of the Earth, I swear. Thanks EB!
I have loved this guys vision for years, love this bike, really hope these guys succeed. I'd love to see a 650 or 850 version so the 99.9% of us that have no business on a 1200cc racer can enjoy the fruits of their passion!
Love these things, I am running an 1125CR with an EBR prepped ECM to match my FMF exhaust. and this thing puts me in the league with all the other super bikes around here, even with my big rear end, at 250lbs. What a dream to have a step up from the 1125 available coming.
Plain beautiful. If I could order, I would. In the meantime I will continue to enjoy my 1125R. I am very excited to see the next generation bikes that will fall into the more affordable category.
alright, so which one of u is getting one and is gonna give it to me? I'll only charge you 10k to take it off your hands, thats a pretty good deal considering the msrp.
i know the 1190 race bike comes in a@ ~$45k usd, but maybe instead of carbon fiber- plastic, 100% ohlins suspension- showa or another knock off, forged rims-regular grade rims, top shelf engine components- in house cnc'ed parts. takes it down to still a pricey (but AWESCHOME) $22k right?
@Ryknfjor I think we will have to wait for the second gen bike from EBR. This is the first from the brand new company. I bet it is higher than needed to make up for lots of spent money on design and tooling. The replacement, or complimentary, bike will be much cheaper. For those that can afford this, it will be the fastest bike, faster than the $72,000 Desmosidici RR.
@Spooner525 The company may be called EBR (Erik Buell Racing) But the thousands of loyal Buell riders will always call his bikes a Buell.... Harley Davidson sucks by keeping the name Buell for themselves I know they own the name but it is just wrong!!! F HD!!!
@EBROfficial Sounds amazing. How long was this time elapse? I'm sure your guys over there have this down but even still it looks like you guys could build a motor in under two hours. Very impressive...
@Desmodromic916 No, consider it part of the break in period of the engine. I'm sure that oil didn't stay in their long. Besides how else do you expect them to dial in and tune the motor? Regardless, its a race engine... I'm sure it will be change out at some point early to mid season.
@Desmodromic916 not necessarily, for a racebike style engine, it allows the rings to seat better. Dynoing in a engine is one of the best ways to break it in
@Desmodromic916 Do you really believe Buell would take a fresh built motor put it in the bike and run a dyno pass on it with out a break in? You can bet it was broken in before they ran it on the dyno!!!
@Desmodromic916 It say engine build and test... I would bet my Firebolt Erik did not dyno a fresh built motor... The video show the build up of the motor and the test shows it in a bike... You can bet they ran that bike for a couple hundred miles or so.
100? Those have to be spoken for already... I have an 1125r, that I am very happy with, but I'd still like to see Buell succeed with this next gen Buell.
@fragmonster I accidentally parked at a Harley Dealership the other day (it looked like a strip mall). Before I could say anything papers were signed and they had me test riding a 2008 1125R. Without a doubt one of the most fun bikes I've ever had the pleasure or riding!
THats INSANE!!! Thanks Erik, and cheers to you and your team for putting America back on the map!!
God Bless

Why was this much care for styling not put in the 1125? It would have set sells records without rebates.
