Apollo 12 - November 14, 1969

Apollo 13 - April 11, 1970 (Mission aborted after SM oxygen tank explosion on outward leg, canceling the landing; LM used as crew "lifeboat" for safe return.

Apollo 14 - January 31, 1971

Apollo 15 - July 26, 1971

Apollo 16 - April 16, 1972

Apollo 17 - December 7, 1972

Also note... The Russians and Chinese have both photographed the US landing sites.

@nathanonearth But was any of these ATTEMPTS to land on the moon successful? Did they ever SET FOOT on the moon "again" since the 1969 attempt ( Apollo 11) ? No! No one has EVER set foot on the moon since the 1969 suspecious claim of "landing on the moon", and that leads to the worldwide DOUBT that no one has ever walked on the moon yet, not even in 1969.... true NASA has tried many times to land on the moon, but it never succeeded to do so...

@arzadi11 Are you really slow or just really young? you can believe whatever you like but the truth is NASA landed humans on the moon 6 times. if you read more than some conspiracy website and did your own research you'll easily find all the movies and all the documents. All this has been proven by everyone from arm chair astronomers bouncing lazers off the lunar landers to other nations taking pictures of our own landing vehicles still there. The truth is far more unbelievable haha.

@nathanonearth you dumb stupid kid, i found out in wikipedia that NASA suddenly abrupted the program for landing on the moon in 1972, only 3 years after 1969 moon landing, and their reason was being too expensive. it looks too suspecious to stop science for budget reason. they had money for bs these past 40 years, but they didnt have for exploring the moon? you might accept their reason because you're a dumb child, but not me. why suddenly drop everything and do nothing for 40yrs?

I am in the UK and 53, I was a child when Kennedy was shot. In all those years since I have never come across a single world leader for whom I had the same respect. His speeches are still the most powerful that you will ever hear. The man had charisma, he was absolutely brilliant as the US President. He was also the last honest guy that ever led a country, and to this day a lump comes into my throat whenever I hear his voice. That day in Dallas was a turning point for the whole of humanity.

Russia could have landed on the Moon first. NASA just won the space rac because you had the more advanced multimedia tachnology. So NASA made it seem like Appollo 11 landed on the moon...yeah good job. Except most everybody knows that it is a hoax.

@PhantomUAV If I may interject here, Russia had a great space program providing real competition to that of the USA. Many of the "firsts" in the space race were accomplished by Russian cosmonauts such as the fist maned flight in space. I'm not saying that America didn't have a great space program, just that Russia was a real competitor and had a real chance of winning. Give credit where credit is due.

The Russians relied on captured German scientisits to come second wheras the US used all-american know how

Joe Kennedy did something great for this country too. He gave his life in WWII so that we can have the freedom to debate the Kennedy's accomplishments like this.. Jack Kennedy would have been one of the greatest presidents of all time

Thanks for posting this! It's great to look back and remember when America had a president who tried to lead us into the future, not drag us back into the dark ages. Kennedy was flawed, but he gave America hope. Does anybody remember hope?

Kennedy was a decent man and good president but never as secure in his beliefs as Regan was.

Kennedys hand was forced in all areas (missle crisis, space race etc.) except for the bay of pigs and that could have gone better although I know he was doing the best he could
