I just download the video.Then i play it with vlc media player at whatever speed i want.Mabe consider thinking outside the box and seeking tools taht are free and on the web.I also do a lot of play and pause to get it in the way my brain learns best.Everyone learns diffrent just find the tools you need to learn your craft because they are out there.

Back when I first started playing, I would've been inclined to agree with you but that changed when I started recording. I use the band typically when recording because I have really hot/noisy pickups. The noise is there regardless of compression or how much I gate my sound. You can even hear when I barely move my picking hand around the strings. Great Howe has done it, Guthrie Govan has done it, Jennifer Batten does it, MAB does it, and the list goes on. I only use it when recording something.

i cant seem to get sweeping down, i have diffulculties muting strngs....and keeping the motion fluid. in other words when i try to mute the strings the motion is not fluid and whern i dont mute the strings the motion ios fluid but sounds so clutterd

i am trying to learn how to sweep correctly and for some reason when i sweep i start out slow in the beginning of the sweep and on the way back up the strings i go really fast, do you know what i can do to correct it?

hi i had the same problem too... but then i got a metronome off a friend and practiced it note to every click and then sped it up over time... its a great tool..

Man, I can tell you some possible solutions; try to avoid sticking your hand in your guitar and take your pick straight as much as you can. Try to feel the same sensation as you were backing up. Try to use just the peak of your pick. :)

if your trying to play this in regular tuning, and not dropped as hell, it would be 11-15 on the a string, 13 on the d string, 12 on the g string 13 on b, and again 11-15 on the e.

Am I supposed to just play at some slower speed just because someone like you will think that anything other than is showing off? lol. Part of the effect of the progression in this is the speed. The faster it's played, the neater it sounds. I'm the least egotistical guitarist you'll ever see. Plenty of guys are much better than me.

There is only 1 tune that my "E" string has ever been tuned down to a "C", and that was on my acoustic ONLY, for Bron-Yr-Aur. (C-A-C-G-C-E ...if anyone wants to know). Why does everybody tune so low?
