  • Love this song XD

  • loveee loveee ffaf

  • I met the bass guitarist and drummer recently at a DJ set. Stupidly, I got really drunk and ended going up to them after their set and had a really long conversation about cheese toasties and the time it takes for pens to run out. Obviously thought this was brilliant at the time, woke up with such a facepalm. xD

  • Darran's leads are so awesome. miss him.

  • So good.

  • why does everyone hate this album? its fucking brilliant!!!

  • @ninjachelsey I don't hate it per se, i just think they have far stronger material ie hours and the epic welcome home..... can't beat casually dressed though and 4 ways to scream ;-)

  • @ninjachelsey - because they're scene kids stuck in 2003 and obsessed with Casually.

  • @pillarsofserpents glad to see someone out there who has a point of view like mine

  • @ninjachelsey - right back at ya!

  • 7 people disliked this video because their music taste differs from the music offered.

  • I miss Gareth and Darran :( not the same band without them... still great though

  • 7 people weren't invited cause they went to JB's concert instead.

  • 7 people didnt get invited to the Waterfront Danceclub

  • oh funeral for a friend, the many times i've listened to you and be on the verge of crying from your epicness. Thankyou for all the car/bus journeys you've saved me from and for plainly being so good, don't give up. i need you in my life:)

  • 2:22 is where this song really takes off.... It's brilliant. Its like being picked up and thrown about, from the comfort of your headphones. So beautiful.

  • Why the fuck is Eminem in suggested videos? Eminem should be nowhere near Funeral for a Friend!

  • the first half is legendary, you must admit.

  • amazing song, thumbs up

  • tune.

  • I miss the classic FFAF lineup :( I want Gareth to come back and I don't want Darran to leave :( But even so, I was and still am impressed by this song, I think it's great :D

  • nice geeetazrrrrr

  • As much as I love FFAF, I felt really disappointed by this video

  • is dere a new lead singer in dis vid

  • @heavyduty08 No...?

  • @heavyduty08 no lol. i thought tht. they just matured alottt

  • @heavyduty08 no dere isnt.

there's this thing called a haircut and shave? xD

  • @himynameisycul i no but de last vid i watched was this years most open heartbreak and he looks real different

  • wrong! kris and Darran are in the band and hopefully will still be in the band for some time.

  • Did they get a new guitarist? The guy with longer hair.

  • no they got a new bassist coz gareth got married n live in america

  • @wizdumb He's not new. Gareth Davies (Bass) was replaced by Gavin Burrough after Gareth got married. *Very* recently Darran Smith (Guitarist w/o long hair) announced he was leaving... Gavin is now filling his spot and they picked up a new bassist.

  • And 4:10 holy s***!

  • Best song on Memory and Humanity in my opinion. Was lucky enough to see them play this at a festival last year and I went crazy!

  • Agreed with seemingly everyone else who prefers the new stuff. Casually dressed and Seven Ways were awesome. I like the new stuff, but newer listeners should really check out the older stuff.

  • u ever notice how they use perfect english in their songs but when they talk in real life they have very thick welsh accents

  • As a person stuck in central Canada, I have very little hopes in seeing these guys. But... if I ever got to hear that riff from Red is the New Black live... woo wee

  • @casey421000

I've seen em in london and at Reading festival a couple of times, "woo wee" is a massive understatement bro, SEE THEM

  • the song (especially vocals) is too high tone all the time......

  • <3!!!!

  • this was their best song to make a hardcore comeback, funeral for a friend are taking steps back to their old style, this is one of their best songs and it should have been on their greatest hits

  • Guys, go listen to Wrench, ffaf's new song that will be on their hits cd. Song is sick, almost a rebirth of their old style. Its on youtube for now, so go listen to it before it gets removed agian!!

  • You speak words of wisdom!

  • Comment removed

  • Why on the album is it spelt "Waterfront Dance Sclub" ?

  • because there ain't no party like an S-club party.

  • FFAF aren't what they used to be, but i still like some of their new stuff, like this song. But its just not the same as their old stuff which i loved. But other than that this song is really good

  • Tales was the bets.

  • PHATEST SONG!!!! there new album is full off goodness!! cant wait to see them live!

  • agreed

  • i dont really find any of their songs bad, except for perhaps walk away which i find a bit bland. the new album was great. tales was ok. i still think "all the rage" is their best song tho :/ not on greatest hits

  • Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation will always remain one of my favourite ever albums, but it's just a shame because every album they release now is a dissapointment to me personally if it isn't like it. Which is probably unfair on my part.

  • I'm not the biggest fan of FFAF's new stuff. It's good, but it's not the FFAF I grew up listening to.

They played pretty much exclusively Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation songs when I saw them live last year, though. I was pretty chuffed. ;) They played Your Revolution is a joke and all the underage posers hid at the back while about 40-50 people sang along right at the front.

It was sick. Go see them live, if you can. :)

  • That's quality likes. Stuff from back then was so epic and full of energy when played live. I can't see myself getting into tales don't tell themselves if it's played live. I went to see them a couple of years back (Just after hours was released), and it was brilliant. Do they still play stuff from seven ways to scream your name? (Namely art of american football)

  • tales dont tell yourseves stuff, is actually suprisingly good live, and everything else before them is amazing. and yeah they do, ive no heard the art of american football when ive been to see them, but they have certainly done 10:45 amsterdam conversations

  • ah, i would really like it if they played songs from seven ways and the obscure songs from casually dressed

the getaway plan is one of my favourite songs by them actually, i really do hate the posers who only know a few of the more popular songs by them.

  • Yeah scene kids pretty much, sucks.

  • i saw them on the TDTT tour and it was pretty much like that then, the focused more on hours though, with everybody singing to history, and when they started playing 10:45 amsterdam conversations, hardly anybody knew it.

    fucking awesome gig though.

  • I must agree with the points being made regarding the "new " fans that FFAF have gained. They do only seem to know the new songs and quite frankly FFAF are not all about that for me Between Order and Model are 4 words many newbies havent even heard and when FFAF rock the old songs people just lose interest unless you are me then you battle to the front to scream the song at the top of your lungs. I didnt like all of Tales but it wasnt a bad album. Give me Casually Dressed any day of the week!

  • too right

  • Im a newer fan but i like there older stuff far more, Juno, the one thats on the Between Order And Model EP is amazing, Actually that full EP is Amazing, ive downloaded all there albums and was going to go see them in Aberdeen or Dundee But They Had Sold Out Saddly :(

  • omg im the 66,666 viewer =S scary

  • riffs are back

  • i agree!

  • theres no way that this album shoud disappoint old fans like me :o its a great album tbh theyre gradually gettin back on track and bringin back that gd ole ffaf impact :P

  • not many bands can have as much power and energy about their songs as these boys do

  • I cant say that the new stuff is bad but the older stuff was better. iv been a fan of f4af for 2 years and iv loved every song theyv ever made! iv even named my band after a song by them because i like it so much! (Bullet Theory) this song also proves that funeral still has the beat most fans liked before.

  • Lol, me and my friend Jayne were discussing making a band about a year ago and I wanted to call it Bullet Theory. XD We ended up with Shotgun Theory...though I don't know if it'll ever exist, we're great at planning but crap at doing something with the plans. =D

I agree with you, I think the older songs were better, though I also love every song they've ever made.

  • Tartosco what kind of music are you into???? david cock???? lols real gay is you hahahahaha

  • i like FFAF's old stuff

most of their new stuff kinda bores me, it sounds sorta generic

  • couldn't agree more

    Where's the screamo??

  • <33

  • Seriously, how can anynone say Funeral's songs are worse now than they were before. Granted Casually Dressed was groundbreaking. Immensly so. I still listen to it now like it's brand new to me.

But Memory and Humanity, along with ALL of their others is just as fucking ace, original, and addictive as the others. It's a slightly different style. but just listen. it's not a LOT different. It's matured. it's better.

Musically they improved, and this is what you get.

    Fucking awesomeness.

  • fell inlove with casually dressed, adored hours an then they died to me after that =\

  • The guitar is very very good

  • i hope these guys will tour ireland soon, love this song

  • They already played 14th of October in the academy , i was at the front :), but that has no relevance what so ever ha, but im sure they'll be back again :D

    =]™

  • fucking amazing tbh :)

  • Funeral For A Friend has to be the best band ever

  • ffaf rocks!

  • agreed :)

  • kool vid but it reli is a rip of of the style of video that evile done for thrasher

  • i also dont really dig the new stuff

but still this song & kicking & screaming are safe as fuck!

the vocals on this are especially ace

  • Great stuff .Theres sumthing about these but i dont no wot there just mint

  • 7 years have passed and still the best band ever!!

i just dont get tired of listen to your music guys (:

  • @nirivillo They've been a band for 7 years?!?!?!? How come I have only heard of them now!!!!!!!!!

  • @SookieSalvatoreXx Great fail, right? FFAF FTW

  • Fucking brutal band. Quality song. Amazing album. Boom

  • I like the new one's, but not as much as Tales, hope they go back to music like that again, cracking album that was.

  • They've still got it ^^

Usually I'll only ever go to see any band once so that I can get a little more variety with gigs but I always go to see these guys whenever I can.

  • they have a come a long way. greatest band i know. their simply amazing.

  • the new stuff is the best theve ever done, and ive followed them since 'seven ways to scream your name' so im allowed 2 say that without any1 bitching lol

  • i dont like the new songs :(

  • FFAF are a truly great band, end of story.

  • Come to think, songs like To Die Like Mouchette and Someday the Fire.. are better than the singles, it means the album is completely awesome! you can't miss it guys, it's mind-melting

  • i agree they are awesome, and i really like constant illuminations aswell

  • bobbybob just shut the fuck up and go whine like a bitch somewhere else

  • Agreed although I couldnt read his failing...

  • funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a friend>funeral for a

  • jesus they have changed. such a shame.

  • Cant wait til i see them @ ULU gna be sick!

  • i think the new album is great u gta understand that the band is growin (like all bands do) and they aint just gna stay the same as the first records...bands dnt wna do that and this new record is fuckin amazin people just dnt wna admit coz its not like the first record, soo wat..i wouldnt expect it to be lol its a 'new' record not an 'identical copy' record lol

  • That was so hard to read.

I agree, however when you come to like a band you get used to that sound and you listen to it because you like how it sounds not because it has that name.

  • Good song, I'd like to hear a bit more influence from Casually dressed, but definitely a good song.

  • I love this band, that's true that probably Casually Dressed and Hours are their best albums, but overall they are drawing an amazing and solid career. It's hard to get some of their albums in Spain, I hope I can be succesful next April when visiting London.

  • amo funeral!

  • o: Blackstar Amps

    Are They Any Good?

    :/

  • They certainly are, pricey though.

  • One of the guitarists is wearing a WESC Shirt :D

    really cool!

  • This song is awesome, I can't wait to get the new album =)

  • i love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • I dont see why everyone says their songs got soft as time progressed, they developed their style of music in the way they saw fit. If their songs were like Casually Dressed they would be going backwards instead of forwards as they are now.

  • @ VintageRabbit: the best way I can think to explain it is that it feels like there's something missing from the new material. a lack of passion, I think, but I'm not sure why.

don't get me wrong, I'm grateful they haven't just done the same stuff for each album, but they've changed a lot since they started, and for some fans, what the band sounds like now isn't what they want to listen to.

doesn't matter much but if you were looking for an explanation, that's what I'd offer

  • Your right, many fans just would have rather not seen them going the way they have.

There is just that slight feeling of less emotion for many fans but I think it is just that the way they view life has changed as they have gotten older and therefore the emotions the put into their songs might have changed? Of course this is just pure speculation but it suits me. Just got the new album for 'Sinterklaas' I think it's great.

    P.S. Yes I'm Dutch.

  • yeah, it's like their early stuff was so raw and energetic but the new songs seem sort of, devoid of that. I think it's just cos they're all married and settled and stuff now so they're probably not as emotionally adrift

  • the are 5-6+ years older now, when the started , they had passion, they were like.. kids full of energy, don't get me wrong either, i think they have lost their ''underground style'' if you want to call it like this, just like Saosin, i mean compare this vid with the ''This Years Most Open Heartbreak'' and compare the vid not the music, you will also see the difference in their passion, the way they move and act in the vids ps. still love ffaf

  • I agree.

Also with the Saosin comparison, true. Both bands had awesome early stuff, then they slowly got worse (although they still are both great bands).

  • funeral for a friend circa 2005 was at their most popular, but i think someday they will top even that. Memory and Humanity is on par with Hours, but i think the best is yet to come.

  • i ve seen them live best band i have seen live

  • this band is fucking amazing ive

  • No matter what FFAF do i think theyre amazing. Personally, i loved casually dressed, hours, tales and now memory and humanity. Theyve changed a bit but not as much as alot of people are making out i think. Besides, though tales was less hardcore, it was powerful in its own way. saw these guys in birmingham the other day. Best band ever.

  • glad to hear ffaf still has some balls ... they softened up way too much on their other songs

  • ill always love ffaf i love how they keep evolving

  • Yooh lot below are really awful...

I mean sure your entitled to your opinion but its called p-r-o-g-r-e-s-s-i-o-n!

Funeral have advanced musically, they are trying new things and they are doing it by themselves now which is totally amazing!!!

If yooh guys were true fans yooh would be supportive and happy for them instead of slating them..... get a grip...

  • well said, TDTT was abit of a culture shock, but it was still an rocking album..

    memory and humanity is amazing

  • Thank yooh! ^^

yeah that is true... it WAS different but your right it still kicked it!

    Yeah i know right!

    definitely my favourite album atm.

  • yes i agree. i love their new album. its defenitely a big change but that's good.

  • have to agree with fatal. Great wide open and the rest were shite! i want the old FFAF back

  • ffaf trying to claw back some credibility. Not a bad song, deffo better than Tales...(which I hated personally - very dissapointed after the first 2 albums + EPs)but not sure it will scratch the surface on Casually Dressed.

  • this is awesome! love these guys, cant wait for the new album!

  • what's with the moustache?

  • Not a general fan of FFAF, but I'm definately picking up Memory & Humanity. I've got Hours and CD&DIC but I'm not big on those. This is a great improvement on TDTT which I thought was pretty shocking. Kicking And Screaming is one of the best songs I've heard from these guys. Only way is up now.

  • see i dont understand that - i think that kicking and screaming could be lifted straight from TDTT its not exactly a hardcore track and is mainly based around a huge chorus melody like the tracks on TDTT

  • LOVE IT

    LOVE IT

    LOVE IT

    LOVE IT

  • shit son that Standard Satin PRS looks so sexy i want one

  • Funeral for a friend... man, every album is the FFAF sound yet they adapt and change and grow, you've kept to who you are musically and yet still adapt and change your sound as your develop as a band and style. I can't wait for this album, been with you guys since the beginning!

  • can't stop loving them... the best band ever

  • Darren´s up to a new level...fucking awesome

  • Fucking love this song!

This and "Kicking and Screaming" are brill!

  • the guitar in this song is sick.

  • sorry that was for blllllllllleugh. i think this song kicks ass.

  • My auntie is in this video!!! haha

  • yes gareth left ffaf :/

gavin is the new bass player

    they will still sound awesome:)

  • gareth davies as left ffaf this his a sad day:(!! will miss u gareth amazin guitar player!! but welcome gavin burrough:) ffaf rock 4ever yeah!! cnt wait till belfast 15th an glasgow 18th!!

  • Really good - its sort of like a blend between TDTT and Hours with something new added. I think its better than Beneath the Burning Tree

  • nice i think they have finally found there sound.. a lot like tales dont tell themselves which is good cos they have been changing so much and i think they have finally defined there sound, i miss cdadic but sure what can you do havent heard a bad ffaf album yet!!! keep on rockin lads:)

  • I love this song really strikes a chord with me.

  • its ok, but its just not like the old days... =( long live the old ffaf CDADIC and Hours!!

  • I like ffaf better when they thrashed a bit harder than they do now. I understand some of you think its progession, but I would love to hear a bit more anger in his voice!

  • amazingly insanely awesome =D

  • these boys work fast TDTT came out last march and they started recording in february was it

  • Maybe that explains why it was so shit. love these dudes but that was a bad album.

  • im a hardcore punk/screamo/metalcore fan i like blackhole, aiden, gallows,RiseAGAINST, EVERY TIME I DIE, THE GHOST OF A THOUSAND, BRING ME THE HORIZON, A7X, ATREYU, BULLET FOR VALENTINE AND I THINK THIS IS AWESOME

  • Man, I miss the old FFAF - TDTT is shocking...but i have to say this is alright....

  • no dissing ffaf there sexy but this song is like hancock. the first half fucking owns then the secound half just trags on and on and on...

  • totally agreed =D

  • goody i thought id have loads of hardcore fans on my ass havin a go at me. good good

  • I was there. : D

  • what october 2008 i want to get this song now :/

  • then download it for free. =/ it tells you how on their myspace =D

  • you can buy it as a single in rock shops or download it dummy

  • FFAF That screamed weren't as good as this.

    We love this song!!

  • Just like dexter said...

GET BACK TO ESCAPE ARTIST NEVER DIES!

    get back to scream!!!

  • this was said by ryan

Ryan also announced that the new album would contain harsh/screaming vocals, riffs and would be closer to Casually Dressed and Deep in Conversation than any of their other albums, although would still be significantly different and more technical, citing that they want to move forward, and never back to any old style.

get old school ffaf back more hardcore days like 10:45 amsterdam conversation, red is the new black, you want romance, this years most open heartbrake

  • great song 5/5 :)

  • i miss the ffaf that screamed =/

  • i totally agree with you : (

  • there will be screaming on the new album you whining assholes
