@Mithnoviel From what I heard Disney is re-working the show again from scratch, making it more appeal for adults, Bob Crowley is re-working the costumes which I heard is going to be no Heelys and they just did three teaser productions in Tuacahn, The Muny, and Music Theatre of Wichita. Same thing with international at Israel and the Atlantis Production. So yes they're still bringing it soon but it would not be a cloned production.

Doesn't anyone realize there is never just ONE version of a character. About 1 Million girls have played Juliet in R and J and they don't get constant criticism for not all being exactly the same Juliet. In fact, it would be HORRIBLE if they were the same cuz there would be no originality. Sierra has her Ariel and Jodi has her Ariel and they are both different because it is two different women playing her. One may be better than the other but if they were the same it would be terribly boring.

I don't think people understand that MOVIES and MUSICALS are different. The songs are tweaked and they don't and are not meant to sound exactly the same as the movie. We all have our opinions of her singing, but to massacre her because she sings the song differently than in the movie is just dumb. I think she did fantastic as Ariel, believable, naive, and free spirited like Ariel was meant to be.
