@JessOnTheRun hey, i heard from something you wrote on another forum i monitor that you think you marched 1988-89 devs and 90 cadets? so you played on the mylar heads with all the "shitty" rudimental players you diss all the time... what a joke. cheesedick... and those cheeses are dirt.
Yeah... Groovier books of today don't sound near as good, but the rammy, arthritis-riddled books of this era sounded much better with the articulate tinker toys such as these. Just my opinion. I actually like the way things have gone recently. Less notes, but more music, deeper tones, heavy drums, more thought put into percussion than straight up hand speed or chops. I still have to respect where it all came from though.
Man, I miss marching to this, along with watching guys from other corps next to us in retreat while trooping the stands not being able stay in step with it.
such a high school level cadence... embarrassing... and they cant even play it clean... what amateuers

I love those tenors that are 2" deep. Ohhh, late 90's era drums. <3.
johnpaddie 3 years ago
yamaha still makes them 2" deep. i think they're terrible, poor quality of sound. not to mention my disdain for pucks.
