@buckweed226 similar but the range of both of the strings is much larger and is much higher than that of a violin. imagine the high d to high e notes on 2 strings. meaning that the octaves are limited on it. It also requires good dexterity and accuracy cuz a centimeter creates a different sound

@kecolingo kinda. it creates higher notes. imagine the high d to e string from a violin. compact it into the erhu. it also has a different soiund depending on the pressure. it is very shrill

@thousandbhp not that i know of because the erhu bow is actually inside the strings. i have seen left handed people playing with the string side of the bow outwards but it is rare because chinese (even now) believe that using a left hand for things is bad( feng shui)

@MarkDally seriously its hard lol, everything with mine is chinese im trying to self teachmyself lool! not doing to well but never gonna give up :) I find the finger techs really hard I suggest just bowing the Erhu slowley on one string so you can get used to the sound msg me if you have advise as well!
