@versatilechicken Tyvek is waterproof, yes, though water vapor can still seep in. This makes the material more breathable, not that I've ever thought of breathable fabrics being an important factor for wallets. Might make for an interesting, if uncomfortable, shirt though.

(the pocket closest to the sealing flap) Also, I'm partial to leaving the first cut a whole strip across (cut from envelope side to side, and don't cut the center line) and then tucking the bottom half of the envelope through.in the final steps.

Okay, so here's how it went. I bought a package of tape, an envelope like that, a piece of cardboard, one of those blade tipped pens. Yes, I successfully created the wallet, but it was only after finishing it that I realized that I could've gotten a way better leather wallet than this shitty paper one for only $15 at Target, where I got all the supplies from.

$15 is kinda steep for a tyvek wallet. I mean I am sure a lot of people think it is worth it... but i'd think you'd make a lot more coin selling them at like $5 a pop, or $15 for 3... even 2 for $15. Machine made, i'd assume that your costs aside from the initial capital investment are pretty low... go for volume

I mean I like the concept, I like a couple of your wallets, but I just can't bring myself to spend $15 on a piece of tyvek, no matter how functional it is

If you insert a two- or three-layered piece of aluminum foil between the rear wall of the cash pocket and the outside of the wallet (into the extra pocket that you end up closing off with the self-sealing tab), you can add a layer of RFID protection to an already awesome wallet. If done carefully, it doesn't make crinkling noises or add much bulk, but it does make it harder for identity thieves to scan your RFID-enabled cards from a distance.
