Arkansas is one of the major quartz producing areas in the world, and Arkansas crystals are internationally famous. For example, the
prize exhibit in the Kristalmuseum in the Bavarian region of Germany is the world's largest clump of crystals, which is from Arkansas. Other areas of the world that produce quartz crystals are Brazil, Columbia, and Madagascar. Quartz in those areas is believed to have been formed by volcanic activity and is less pure than that found in the Ouachitas.

Most of my mining is done at Arrowhead Crystal Mine in Mount Ida, Arkansas.
The mine is open to the public for a small fee, $20 per person. The website is "arrowheadcrystals(dot)com"
If you plan on going out to the mine send me a message through my youtube profile and tell me what days your going to be at the mine and I'll glady come out and dig with you!
