Now that I think of it, Kafuka really has a lot in common with Akagi.

A dark past, ultimate poker face(never know what she really thinks), a very twisted way of seing things

Also, Sensei would be a kind of person that Akagi hates most - since he always speaks about killing himself, but is actually afraid to do that. Honestly, what would Akagi do, if he saw Sensei hanging himself on a sakura tree in ep1? He would check if he was serious, by 'helping' him a bit. And what did Kafuka do? The same :D

Her real name is supposed to be 'Akagi no Ann' (or smth like that, forgive my spelling), right?

I mean, same 'Akagi' as 'Akagi Shigeru', right? Anime's greatest mindfucker, gambler and just a guy who can bet his own life on something without a single worry? Doesn't it make you be scared of Kafuka a bit more? Because for me, it kinda does :D

Kafuka's evil! Remember the part where, when they're all going into hibernation, she closes all the openings and puts a gas lamp in the room, and they all almost died of carbon monoxide? I'm pretty sure she did that on purpose.

Kafuka is sort of a play on Kafka. She may very well be very aware of her actions and the way she manipulates Itoshki. She may be the most crafty and put together of them all in order to play witht he minds of her peers.

Not sure what you're trying to say, but yes, Kafuka's name is a pen name, although the reasons for this have not been stated.

I myself think she went into a huge fit of PTS, and decided to block away all those negative memories, every single one, including those attached to her true name. So with no true name, she uses her pen name.
