  • Wow u totally over used junk :3

  • Try this. I unplugged my adaptor when my xbox was off then plugged it back in and turned on the xbox. It then prompted me "A network adaptor has been detected. Would you like to set it up?" So I set it up and it worked!

  • THUMBS UP FOR THE N64!!!!!!!!!

So before you open your dirty pice of ... mounth, try out the real solution, not open and screw ur box, and acessories

    Seconded

  • thanks i got it working!

  • man i got mine 4rom micro soft and it didn't work when i bot it

  • useless sob

  • might wont even turn on

  • Before you do this, try unplugging the power cord when the xbox 360 is Off and replug the power cord all the way in. I was about to open the adapter but I found the solution on yahoo answers and it totally worked. BTW: My network adapter was lit solid red and the xbox wouldn't recognize it.

  • @littlem2979 nah i got it from futureshop brand new...

  • Great video. I'll agree, that thing is junk. I researched all kinds of different troubleshooting steps like clearing system cache and what have you. It would light up red occasionally, otherwise, it wouldn't light up at all. After all my troubleshooting steps failed, I came across the "Hard Tap Theory". I figured 'what the hell' because it wasn't working anyways. Sure enough, after the taps, I plugged it back in, and it worked perfectly the first time.

  • he doesn't like microsoft. piece o junk

  • hey dude if u still got this problem go to systemsettings, network settings, your network , configure network , additional settings then restore to factory settings. try to connect and the wireless adapter should turn green

  • @pompeybrett1 yeah I tried that....I basically gave up. My xbox has RROD'd on me too many times so I went out and bought a new Xbox with the wireless and HDMI. My old Xbox never had HDMI

  • @Skavaen You gave your system no freaking breathing room, so no wonder you got RROD a lot. Wouldn't be surprised if your new one has issues at some point if it is cramped up like hell as well.

  • @pompeybrett1 Dude thank you soooooo much i love you this helped me sooo much thanks :)))

  • @pompeybrett1 THANK YOU

  • @IDikksonHD I tried all the fixes on youtube and it was nothing but a failboat. I ended up just using a laptop and sharing the internet through that. In the end you have to go out and buy a new device. When I cracked mine open to see its guts, I found no faults in the circuitry so I question of Microsoft has a ECM in the device to they can nuke them after a while and force you to waste more money on another one.

  • @Skavaen you know that i didnt believed that the wifi adapter has somthing that can make the device stop working, but i found by accident a Spanish documental that talks about the topic. the guy who did the documental says that Large Coporations ussually use smthing called (obsolencia progamada) Programmed obsolescence. basically they put a small chip on board that send a signal that indicate the device when it will stop working...

  • i like the music at the begining

  • my light wont even turn on >:0

  • OK GUYS I HAVE THIS EXACT PROBLEM BUT I HAVE THE NEW UPDATE AND WHENEVER I GO TO NETWORK SETTINGS IT SAYS WIRED OR WIRELESS. I CHOOSE WIRELESS AND THE ADAPTER IS PLUGGED IN BUT IT SAYS THAT NOTHING IS PLUGGED IN. SUM1 PLZ HELP!!!!

  • @xmikex801 just happened 2 me 2 :( exact same thing

  • So glad i got rid of my Xbox. There products are real pricey but very cheaply made and almost always break. Anyone looking to buy a new game system just get the PS3 i paid the same for my PS3 with 320 GB HDD, built in WiFi, the Move motion controller and free internet for life (its always free just stating a point) as someone would for the new Xbox with only 250 GB HDD, built in WiFi, the Kinect motion controller and only a year of gold subscription.

  • i fixed by resetting my wireless router :O

  • like the way you talk to your xbox ;)

  • Lmao u look like a older version of The fat Kid from Super Bad

  • ty for i got my mac address :)

  • microsoft maybe the richest company in the world but there stuff is shit!

  • ur gaming mad!

  • well good thing microsoft made the new Xbox 360, built in wireless, no stupid adaptor, and supposedly, the new Xbox doesnt get red rings

  • PS3 FTW!

  • this happend to me but all i did was scan for my wireless again and it works fine

  • @MYarmsSPEAKtheTRUTH I didn't luck out that well. I am working on a new plan.

  • @Skavaen hey i work for xbox and to fix this issue you have to go to configure network go to advanced settings and click restore at the bootom of the advanced settings page then go back to configure network after that then set up ur connection to ur wireless connection and it shoul work and if not contact xbox from the phone and ask for me my name is donnovan jacobs.

  • Useless. This is more useless than Stephen Hawkings walking cane.

  • Useless. Thank you for nothing.

  • NINTENDO 64!!!!!!! FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are fucking epic man noone shows theres off anymore

  • @jrcfoxtrot13 I love that system. the controllers an be awkward at times but once you get used to it its fun. I bought that with about 20 games off of ebay for 35$

  • buy a new one?

  • @bobbyewing311 nah...I had an old ASUS EEEPC kicking around that I installed windows xp on. I ended up using it to get online using the Ethernet from the EEEPC to connect to my xbox and the the wifi to connect back to my router. Turned on internet sharing and the problem was solved.

  • it was the antenna that was unplugged

  • @psichomiko yeah that super wasn't the issue with mine.

  • Respond to this video... microsft justs love rippin me the fuk of i'm havin the same problem

  • Hi. I got my Wireless Adaptor. Im plugging it into Xbox, red dot is steady. But i cant find Wireless Mode. It is not even showed in network settings...

  • @Sipso2008 hey bud i feel your pain one got one yesterday to and it did the same thing i called the xbox live service and went through all the steps and found out when it flash's red when you start it up it **** broke

  • @Sipso2008 if the red light is on on the adapter then its no good. The light should be green. If its red it will either show up and give some bogus IP or fail the network test like mine did or it will just not show up at all. In the end these adapters cost microsoft about 4 to 10 bux to build and they overcharge $100 to sell them. They are junk!

  • @Skavaen Well.. I've bought ethernet cable. I' ve wasted enough time with this crap. Lucky that i bought mine fore half price.

  • @Sipso2008 Ethernet will give you the best performance.

  • the same happened to me the other day. there was a 1 second power outage and i got the red rings of death...again. i turned it back on and it said cant connect so i looked at my adapter and it had the red light. i dont want to spend another $100 on a 2 inch adapter that doesnt even work. i also read that this guy bought i new 1 after this happening to him and that 1 didnt work either so he wasted $200

  • @canihave10thplz My fix was to use an old netbook as a wifi access point. It worked well. I am trying to find a compatible cheaper solution for the wifi. Seeing how the POS microsoft sells is a Realtek chipset, I am working with that chipset to come up with a more affordable way to get wifi to the xbox. Sure now Xbox Slim comes with Wifi, but I am not about to buy another console just for that feature.

  • LMFAO! thats were the stupid MAC thing is. FRIK! I WAS LOOKING EVERY WERE!

  • if you still got it laying around, try reflowing the pcb with a hot air station/gun and flux,

  • @samjones747 hmmm...maybe I will try that. thanks for the idea.

  • o nice pussy

  • dude i hade to use plyers to get the fuckng thiig apart in like 5 piceses.

  • give it a wak can fix the looe connecter prob. sometimes.

  • I just threw mine in the freezer, somethimes they over heat, if you put it in the freezer for ten minutes (if any more, water might condense inside and short it out) it should work properly

  • what did you use to open the wireless apdapter and how did it take

  • I ended up having to chop through it with a serrated knife. Its not clipped or glued. The old xbox wireless adapters had plastic molded around them which is why microsoft didn't want us to open and service them. The other reason for this is probably the big dirty conexant chip sitting in it that shows that they don't trust their own wifi chipset.

  • Mmmmmm nice good ol 64 in the back

  • I scored that off of ebay for 20 bux..came with 2 controlers and about 20 games. Looks like crap on the wide screen tv but its fun to play when you are in the mood for retro gaming.
