@TheStefanny2011 all combat MOS does not allow female- 11b/ 21b/ 13b and so on.when u see a coed it means none combat, a little easier. Please b4 u sign up,u need to search the job that u want,Army will offer u a list of ' military occupational specialty', compare to other branches???. i'm not a recruiter but i just want u to make sure that when you sign the contract u'll be happy. Remember dont let the recruiter pick u'r job its u'r decision!

That is, if you could make it past him. DS Reynolds was a big, scary dude. As far as inside the chamber, we did the macarena for what seemed like forever.. Had some girl "pass out" and roll around in snot and vomit.. Looking back, the gas chamber experience was one of the more memorable.. And funny.

They don't make you re-don and clear after you take your mask off in the gas chamber in the Army? We had to remove our mask, then they made sure everyone had their eyes open and were breathing before we were allowed to don and clear and leave.
Main thing is....don't panic. Easy to say, but it's the truth. No one will die, although you think you will. Once you walk out, you'll feel like you can do anything in the world. Trust me.

After we left the chamber I coughed the biggest mucus ball i have ever seen on the back of one of my battles IBA's. I shit you not it covered about a 1/4 of the back of his IBA. Great times.

when i did this, we first entered the "cold room"(with a fully sealed mask), which is a room where theres a thin fog of CS. in this room the Drill Sergeants make you break the seal on your mask just so you can get a "taste" of whats coming. then you enter the "hot room", where the DS make you fully remove your completely sealed mask. you then stand there for about 10 secs and they just ask you some random question that you answer fairly quickly. you're in there about 5 mins total.
ok i thought drill sergeants are supposed to be all up in yo grill screaming like a retard making you want to cry.. these guys seem like motivational coaches lol... never been in the army and dont plan to though...
I remember the Marine DI's telling us when we open the chamber door walk out , dont run. Me like a ass I ran , with my eyes full of CS I went straight into a DI we both went down LMAO . Needless to say I got to spend 15 minutes in hell without dying.
The chemical reacts with moisture on the skin and in the eyes, causing a burning sensation and the immediate forceful and uncontrollable shutting of the eyes. Effects usually include tears streaming from the eyes, coughing, running nose full of mucus, burning in the nose and throat areas, disorientation, dizziness and restricted breathing. In highly concentrated doses it can also induce severe coughing and vomiting. Almost all of the immediate effects wear off in a matter of minutes.
I can't for BCT. So far I will be the first soldier (well my cousin will be enlisting soon) in my family to serve and protect my country. The Gas Chamber looks fun too. Thats What I can't wait for

i went to fort sill for bct back in summe r2008 went to AIT in fort jackson summe r2008. Im now a college junior in north carolina. also i am in ARMY ROTC. The training i recieved at sill as stayed with for 3 years now and i plan on going field artillery as a branch.
What the hell, the Army has gotten soft. I went to Fort Sill in 2002 Delta 1/40th and our DS were a heck of a lot harsher than this. Not good when your training guys for war.

@brettxm it also keeps you from rubbing your eyes. they have you say "my eyes are open, my arms are flapping" so as to not increase irritation.

@groves1990 think like 50-75 its really stupid purchase, but at the time your all hooah hooah, just dont buy the ring, they gouge you for something your 1 not allowed to wear after (or during) basic and 2 will regret after you get to your unit haha.

when i did this, we first entered the "cold room"(with a fully sealed mask), which is a room where theres a thin fog of CS. in this room the Drill Sergeants make you break the seal on your mask just so you can get a "taste" of whats coming. then you enter the "hot room", where the DS make you fully remove your completely sealed mask. you then stand there for about 10 secs and they just ask you some random question that you answer fairly quickly. you're in there about 5 mins total.

I remember the Marine DI's telling us when we open the chamber door walk out , dont run. Me like a ass I ran , with my eyes full of CS I went straight into a DI we both went down LMAO . Needless to say I got to spend 15 minutes in hell without dying.

The chemical reacts with moisture on the skin and in the eyes, causing a burning sensation and the immediate forceful and uncontrollable shutting of the eyes. Effects usually include tears streaming from the eyes, coughing, running nose full of mucus, burning in the nose and throat areas, disorientation, dizziness and restricted breathing. In highly concentrated doses it can also induce severe coughing and vomiting. Almost all of the immediate effects wear off in a matter of minutes.

I can't for BCT. So far I will be the first soldier (well my cousin will be enlisting soon) in my family to serve and protect my country. The Gas Chamber looks fun too. Thats What I can't wait for

it got the guy in front of me though. he even fell over, but when i tried to help him, he didn't want to get up.

haha, back when my dad was in bct the chamber didnt affect him. so they sent him through a few more times. we'll see if its the same for me when i leave here in a few weeks. shit looks fuuun!!! can deal with the gas chamber better than ill be able to deal with another recruit giving me an IV and removing and IV...

i went to fort sill for bct back in summe r2008 went to AIT in fort jackson summe r2008. Im now a college junior in north carolina. also i am in ARMY ROTC. The training i recieved at sill as stayed with for 3 years now and i plan on going field artillery as a branch.

What the hell, the Army has gotten soft. I went to Fort Sill in 2002 Delta 1/40th and our DS were a heck of a lot harsher than this. Not good when your training guys for war.

Pretty much in the chamber everything burns, your neck... hands... anywhere skin is exposed... that shit burns...
Then they tell you to take off your mask and you try to hold your breath, so they MAKE you breath... then your body burns... lungs eyes face everything, you can't breath you feel like your going to puke all over the place...
