  • Was gonna ask "and where's the puck?" but Arnott gave it to his dad. Out of the last 4 OT cup winners this is the only puck that we know the whereabouts.

Hope they win it for Marty one more time before he retires.

  • This is the moment I became a hockey fan.

    Devils till I die.

  • Little did Jamie Lagenbrunner, Grant Marshall and Joe Nieuwendyk know, they would all win the next cup with the Devils!

  • wow what a pass

  • Comment removed

  • can we have this team back?

  • 1:10 who is wearing that dusty bucket?

  • chills so fucking bad i remember watching this with my cousin and i flipped out and i was 5

  • Ten Years ago and I still get chills. 2 AM when this game ended. Went to the celebration at the Meadowlands.

  • 10 years ago today. Crazy to believe. And, until last night, the last OT Cup-clincher.

  • nothing like winning the Stanley Cup in Double OT

  • So, how about them Maple Leafs..

  • this decade just started give us time -_-

  • haha pearl harbor, good one!

  • Damn, them mofos got some hops, lol. Man, my favorite Jersey player ever, Jason Arnott, championship winning goal. I would never forget this. I think it was a school night too.

  • I don't think so. I remember it being a Saturday night. But I'm not absolutely sure.

  • in my opinion, this was the most complete devils team of all time. we need another scott stevens if we're going to win another cup!

  • there are no more scott stevens, they only made the one :(

  • Yeah, and he broke the mold with The Shoulder. Every time Colin White makes me think he's going to become the new Scottso, the next game he turns back into the new Joe Cirella. As Dick Smothers would say, That was not a compliment! There's gotta be a comparable player out there, but would El Baldo open the vault for him? He wouldn't do it to keep Rafalski.

  • This was the toughest cup the Devils ever won. They were facing the Stars who were the reigning cup champs from the previous season and they pushed it all the way to game 6, 2 overtimes. Both teams gave it their all and the outcome was anyone's guess up to the time of this goal.

My only complaint is that they won the cup in Dallas so there were almost no Devils fans to cheer for their big moment. Still, this was a very tough series and could've gone either way.

  • @RPGFreak90 aside from that, think about it this way. Not only was the cup series hard, but also the series before, they played the flyers, and they were down 3-1, and had to win 3 straight games. In my mind, that is what makes this the most difficult cup they ever won. They were down 3-1 and then had a tough Stars Series.

  • No New Jersey Devils fan will EVER forget this championship moment!!!

  • great goal

  • lol at that stars player at 1:09 wtf is he wearing a football helmet cage for hahahahahahaha.

  • lmao i know is he stupid lololol

  • If I remember correctly, and this is a big if, his name is Blake Sloan and it had something to do with having had his jaw broken sometime prior.

  • facial injury there not allowed to wear open visor or open face helmet if they had one recently...theres so pretty dumb looking cages ones for jaw injuries look like head gear LOL

  • what a jump at 0:48!

  • when Gomez was cool....

  • hadn't hit his prime yet back then, just a rookie, 2nd year at most

  • Wow. I remember this. Beautiful.

  • @ 0:51 if you listen closely you could hear bill laughing.

  • in 03 brodeur was supposed to win the cup

  • lol he did

  • i ment conn smyth lol

  • wht a pass

  • smells like a jealous Rangers fan to me.

  • Yet you have to post on a Devils video, I am sorry that the Rangers have 1 Stanley Cup highlight on youtube. I guess it can get tiring watching the same 14 year old video of Edmonton winning a cup for the Rangers.

  • aahahaha, 1994!!! 1994!!! rangers suck!!!

  • Oh yes they do, oh yes they do. 3 Cups since Oklahoma City vs. 1 Cup since Pearl Harbor.

  • Win a cup in THIS DECADE bitch.

  • @nym685 um they won in 2003....

  • @nym685 2003

  • @nym685 2003 dumbass

  • @pandaman123100 Yes I am a Devils fan...and I am telling the Rangers fan that they have no cups in the 2000s

  • Gomez had no idea how good he had it. damn traitor.

  • A thing of beauty!!

  • Love it.

  • Holy shit! I saw Lou smile!

  • This team is my fondest memory of any sports related thing in my life and always will be.

  • You know what is crazy? Mine is the 1993-94 team. What a shitty fucking ending it was, but 7.7 seconds will always mean something to me. All three of the Cups they would win combined could not add up to the unbelievable, instant, insane, spontaneous and body-wrenching joy I experienced when Zelepukin scored. I did not even see it as I had my head down.

  • Is that video on youtube?

  • No, fucking nowehere. I am ready to buy a capture card and wait for it to come on the NHL network one day.

  • Fuck. I want to see it again.

  • lol

  • Best moment of my life

  • great interview by modano... the guy is a class act

  • "center... shot... SCORE, THE NEW JERSEY DEVILS WON THE STANLEY CUP."

    I will never forget that.

  • the second one is soo sweet!!!

  • Music to my ears, I think I have Gary Thorne's call on this play memorized by now.

    Arnott is the man!

  • I miss thorne, Hockey isnt the same without him.

  • Thorne had little feel for the game. All he offered was a big goal call, that's it. It takes more than that to be considered one of the greats.

  • and his sidekick A.K.A color commentator Bill Clement said "Finally, the ending of the movie!" which is also a classic.

  • b-e-a-utiful!!
