What a great find on Youtube. I am some kind of half ass 3rd cousin to JP and did attend his music festival many years back. Annadeane was there and made us feel very welcome. Whomever uploaded this video, made my day! Thanks very much! Ralph Fraley Concord NC, transplanted from Ohio.
Another thanks from me, too. I've been learning fiddle tunes from recordings of J.P. and Annadeene for a couple of years +. Wonderful. I really appreciate seeing the lovely man. Blessings, Sarah
I would like to thank you for putting JP and Annadine on this venue. When I was 44 years younger than I am now, I used to go to visit them at their home near Ashland, KY. Annadine would fix the most wonderful meals and JP and I would play all weekend or many times on a Saturday afternoon and evening. Some of my best times were spent at their home when I was learning to play.
The crowning moment was when we won the old time band contest at Fiddler's Grove, NC. What memories of great times!
Oh my gosh crtUK you are a find! Bob Wills, JP Fraley, ....fantastic stuff!

I am so happy to see family on youtube...my grandmother, Isabelle, is JP's sister. I guess that makes him my great uncle as well.

great recording of dusty miller! it's great to hear the difference in traditional old time style and what contest fiddling has become.
