  • Encinitas! I live in Poway. Also you are one of the few people that do not overcook their Ahi Tuna.

  • I can not wait to try this recipe this weekend! Thanks for idea and info! :)

  • Nice job thanks i caught a twenty pounder today!! mmm

  • Great video guys! Been cooking my tuna throughout but was not happy with it. Your video was perfect on exactly how I want it and will be doing that in about 1 hour!

  • Love the video! Thanks a bunch. I haven't seen anyone else do this but I put my tuna in the Freezer for about 5 mins. #1 I like my Ahi cold & #2 I was told that fish steaks like salmon & tuna continue to cook for 60 seconds once it leaves the heat. If my steak is really thick I leave it on for 1.5 mins per side but I never cook it at 700 degrees. If I had a grill like yours I'd probably leave it for 1 min per side then chuck it in the cooler. I can't wait to try out the Coconut oil!

  • @brenan6 Did you even watch this video? The word "Organic was used exactly once because it was on the wine label. You're way off - on many of your assumptions: fish was caught locally & given to us by a friend (free). And I disagree: Certified 'Organic' is healthier when it comes to many foods especially produce. I may be a "spoiled American" (who works 2 full-time jobs) but you're rude & ignorant.

  • @brenan6

maxewiii definitely got you. My favorite part is that you must've watched the video for about 6 minutes before you realized something you could criticize. You're the real "douche" here. Thanks for your two cents on organic foods. Nobody gives a fuck what you think . Seriously.

  • protein, omegas we all know these things. what moat perople dont know about ahi is it's one of the highest content of mercury you can find in fish

  • @ahole420 you'd have to be eating tuna & other large ocean-going fish every day for mercury levels to even be close to presenting a health problem.

  • @maxewiii Oh, shit.

  • I love tuna when it is cooked rare or raw

  • Obvious question was How was it??

  • @johnnyklever this quality tuna is good just about anyway, but I think its best to only just sear it, not cook it quite as much as I did here, but it was still very good!

  • looks pretty good, but never ever cook sashimi grade tuna through!! waste of moola.

  • @airwalkmike we don't normally - just sear - but due to being sidetracked by video production we left it on the grill a little long!

  • more those recipes please... :-)

    Thank you!

  • Hey Max, how much does a slab of Ahi Tuna cost?

  • I'm not sure - this was locally caught right of our SoCal coast: Cheaper than buying it at a sushi restaurant, that is for sure!

  • This, I know my girlfriend would love!

I'm not sure where I would find fresh ahi tuna here in canada though.

    Thanks for the cooking tips.
