I agree thegnar666. He didn't get as much credit as other good pitchers of his era did who were fireballers, but he may have been the most effective.  Won't see one like this again.

No offense, but there is no "might be" about it! Maddux IS the greatest pitcher of our generation! The best pitching career of all time and among the most talented pitchers in the history of the game. One of the luckiest things for me was watching him pitch all the time for my hometown team! God bless Greg Maddux, a living legend and the best pitcher of our generation.
