When you merry him, ask him to move to your place after you get married. I don't think he owns any house at all, that's probably why he disappeared.

Marriage is basically gender neutral in Skyrim. Any marriageable character will agree regardless if your character is male or female.

I completed the final Companions quest, Glory of the Dead, and am now harbinger of the companions. So, excited because I wanted to marry Farkas, I got an amulet of Mara and went back to marry him but the option doesn't even come up and I've already done quests for Aela and Vilkas cause theyre the only two I can get quests from. Only I realized later that these are unlimited quests and will get me nowhere. I'm pretty sure this is a bug and I just don't know if theres a way you can fix this?

@tjdudangel That's a known bug. He will show up at Jorrvaskr eventually and you can then talk to him to tell him where you want to live.

@tjdudangel Have you finished the Companions quest? If so, you could see if he's at Ysgramor, if he's not at Jorrvaskr or any of your houses. If you're on PC, you could also download the divorce mod, divorce him, wait until he shows again & remarry him. Otherwise perhaps try again from an earlier save? You really have to be quick to grab him as soon as he starts walking away at the wedding. Hope you find him! :)

@Impignorate That's a known bug. Your spouse will walk out in the middle of the ceremony, never to be seen again. Thankfully with Companions you have an option, though: find him back at Jorrvaskr and start a dialog with him. He'll ask you where you want to live. Staying with him == he stays at Jorrvaskr. You can choose one of your homes instead if you want to live there, though (which is adorable because he will cook you dinner).

I married Farkas just a few days ago. He keepks dying when I ask him to help me in misions, so I don't ask him to come with me anymore! (I always save the game time to time, so if my partner dies, I reload the game and try to save their lifes), And once I married him, I can't ask him for work, he keeps saying that I've already got business with Vilkas or Aela, and when I finally finish those mission, he does not have the option for asking him a work :p

@dianaraz75 He will die if you accidentally strike him with your attacks. If he gets beat down, he'll hit his knee and enemies should avoid him and come after you. When he's knocked down, get enemies away from him and he will eventually recover. But YOU can kill him outright by hitting him with spells or blades.

I joined the Companions then I saw Farkas and I did the whole storyline to marry him, I even have the Amulet of Mara, but it still doesn't give me the option to marry him.

@Pyschophobia Any Amulet of Mara will do, but you're going to have to talk to Maramol in Riften in the Shrine of Mara before you can marry pretty much anybody. Sometimes you need to do a radiant quest or two before marrying him.

Marriage in this game is just a game mechanic: a way to immerse your character into feeling like an actual character. You can choose who to marry or not to marry at all. It's also a way to get free money (100 per day). Also: eye candy. :p

@DarkDolly How long did you wait? Give it a day or so, and he should show up. Also, remember to check the entire house; I have found him using the alchemy table in the Whiterun house before. :p

Also, did you talk to him after the ceremony to tell him where you'd like to live? If not, you need to do that. If you haven't done that, I expect you can find him in Jorrvaskr to get that conversation.

i married vilkas- he got killed on a quest with me- a few days later he was alive back at the companions in whiterun--now its wierd and i cant marry anyone else either lol
