  • DAAAAAMN

  • Nice one for that, I can't find the instrumental anywhere, would you be able to send it my way? Peace

  • why did you not make the ports face eachother......???

  • @aprilialover125 we wanted to see if it made any difference since the ports were so close to each other...

  • @djbman81 did it?

  • what amps would be good to power two of these speakers? i'm thinking about getting a pair.

  • @ProdigyDJs it depends on your budget.

  • @djbman81 how many watts are these speakers?

  • I've watched this video way too many times and just noticed the Lab, I'm just glad other djs with real rigs exist. The Lab in the rack is just icing on the cake.

  • Nice, I have stacks of these QSC PLX2's, good amps. The JTR Growlers...looking real hard on these , may buy a six pack for my HT(arrays of 36 direct radiating subs).

  • I wish you did a longer video...

  • @americaneagle791 don't worry I will with the new JTR subs and tops.

  • @djbman81 Sounds like a hint of things to come... interesting...

  • F1's don't blow you away and have the most superior sound quality. Still nice speakers!

  • what song is that ?

  • "So Fly Instrumental" by Slim (Lead singer 112) Sounds Good! I can't see a 12" competing with a Vega though?

  • @jmd161

I have put Vegas against 10" loaded horns (BFM Tuba 30 Slims 24" wide HL10a loaded) & the Vegas got spanked right across the board. In SQ, SPL as well as frequency range, Vegas are one of the worst horn designs on the market (the horn length as well as mouth size both fall too sort). Take a look at a frequency graph (there are a few owner posted graphs) for the Vega & compare them then you'll see for yourself.

  • u rule

  • DAAAAAAAMN. Those things punch hard. We run 8 JBL 18"s usually. Those are 12"s right?!? They sound good. Real good.

  • I think you should rearrange the stack so the horn mouths are all against each other

  • I actually do. This was the first time I arranged them like this. My friend wanted to see if it made a big difference.

  • Well did it? I was just saying that because I'd heard it on the internet.

  • Not really.

  • @djbman81

Bro what is that track playing to test them out??

  • @ruk110 So fly by Slim of 112.

  • is that just a crappy mic on the camera or is that actually the sound of all the air those subs are moving? if that's air from the subs at ~10ft away that's absurd!

  • Both.

  • nice

  • Nice post... I wish I had 6 of my Danley :-) I'm just working on the 2nd one...

  • Is this Gaffle?

  • Yep... this me.

  • What's up bro? Now I am waitng on you to post a video of the Danley sub in action!

  • Must be nice to live so close to JTR!! As far as your comment about 50 hz & the Growlers.... as long as you dont clip the amp the Growler can take up to 1600 Watts. Most run the Growlers at 1500 watts each with clip limitors / Driverack. You can achieve the highest out put with this strategy but you have to make sure you dont clip!! Like any setup... clipping (aka squaring the wave) is bad, especially if you are powering the sub to the program rating (not rms).

  • I run (4) Growlers center clustered with 1500 watts to each Growler & achieve the same volume you have in this video!!

  • I actually own 4 growlers. He came out with 2 and 2 triple 8's oh and the Lab Gruppen lol. This is the 2nd set-up. I usually couple the mouths together though. He wanted to see what the difference was this time. The Lab has no problem handling a 2 ohm load, however due to lack of power from the wall the voltage protector in the amp limited the output. Some of the music I play has real nasty sine waves down to 50 hz. I doubt very seriously that you can put that much power into a growler @ 50 hz.

  • @DJMixNice - you can't even tell volume this is running

  • I know the Growlers very well... I own 4 and have a degree in engineering. I was just saying that with proper power you can make 4 in a cluster displace just as much air as this cluster of 6!! No disrespect here, as Bman knows!! I love the Growlers and wouldnt run anything else. I wanted everyone to know that you dont need 6 to be very loud!! These Growlers are awesome even with just 2 but are killer in clusters of 4, 6, or more!!

  • BMan... looks like Jeff is taking care of ya lol. Couple things... couple them with the horn openings together for better performance. You may have wanted 2 power allies but I find center clustering them with horn openings together is optimum. Also looks like you need to buy a few more amps. If you are powering all 6 off the the Gruppen amp, thats 2.67ohms per channel or less than 1000 watts per Growler!! They like ~1500 watts each with no clipping of course!!

  • whats the name of that song?

  • So fly by Slim of 112.

  • Great video. I don't think they were expecting that kind of output...LOL. Always great to get those kind of reactions on film.

  • Sleeper! Always nice to see you man. I agree, I think we all should film people's reactions from now on! I really want to hear those tuba's lol.

  • Thats look like power that can give you heart palpitation....

    Dj Xclusivo

  • You have no idea man. First time I put 6 together and turned them up, I had to put ear plugs in my ears.

  • sweet set up
