how long do these batteries last? if they dry up can you just put more water in them and they start working again??? when would these little batteries become useless?
Hey, come to think of it, could you make some kind of emergency flashlight out of this?
If you made these "waterbatteries", with some kind of cloth so they could last. Put some of them in a series inside a housing, and if you needed a flashlight, all you had to do was put it in some water, or spit on or something. You could even have a little wee on it, to wet it up xD
Instead of connecting many lemons on eachother, how many milliter lemon juice is needed to run a battery of a mobile 3.7 V, 600mAh, or is this not possible?
Also, quick addition, did u try adding salt to the water solution, as it might increase the resistance and conductivity of the water. Just a random thought.
Have you tried Vinegar ? lemon juice contains Citric acid, vinegar contains Acetic acid. Maybe Acetic acid will have different effect. Citrics range from 2-4 ph and acetic from 2-3, but household vinegar is @ about 2.4. I checked it with my Aquarium PH meter :D.

Thanks I will try them with my bedini When I get a chance. Hows your Imoet project going? going I have a 12W solar cell to try running my Living room lights using the same principle but with a square wave oscillator instead.
and what metal you used in experiment? i used iron and coal bars but when i tried to connect my battery to something that uses low power amps quickly lowers from 150mA to about 50-40mA should i use coils instead of bars?
hey great to see you making more videos. i found the same plates u are planning to use for ur hho cell and i found some plexiglass im gunna try to make one myself.
ive been meaning to make a few videos of projects i've been working on but i just keep putting it off. right now im trying to build a switch box for my flight sim. if it works i will upload a vid.
Long time no speak, i've been a busy recently. I think that the metals are exhaustible but to get 5v at Xma i think that twin and earth is thrown away so often and if only lemon juice can produce power that makes this workable is a step forward to recycling power!
That was just copper?

That would, in theory, work right?

Yes it would work well, but I refuse to wee on you tube....
I have just drawn a line and that crosses it...lol ;-)

what kind of amps are you getting from a single cell?
ive managed to get about 50ma to 60ma using apple juice on cell the size of an old film container
but only at 0.45 volts
pieznice29 3 years ago
Im getting 2.449v from three in series with lemon on them.
Short Circuit is 120mA
when the Jeule Thief is on it drops ot 0.506v and runs at 77mA
Hope this helps, have you a video of yours?

i had made experiment with H2S and tryed using coal and iron bars and ive managed to get 1.20V and about 100mA

Have you tried to use any other acids other then the ascorbic that's found in the lemons.
Gj regardless.
Cheers

try making H2S i made it in home just take matchsticks and take of the heads of them and then burn it in the jar and all gases mix with water

NIK4EVA --- Not yet, are there any house hold versions of them? Cheers.
dzedajusr --- will it create extra potential or would it make them last longer? Thanks
Paul..

well i dont know they last longer i think havent tryed anything other

Ill try it next time, Cheers

i did a mistake its not H2S its H2SO3 i used water to make it so H2O+SO2->H2SO3
dzedajusr 3 years ago
So it makes hydrogen sulphate solution? Ill have a go with it on my joule thief circuit when I get a chance
Thanks.

I am using Galvanized Nails & Copper Cable 1.5mm.
So I'm Using 'Zinc' and 'Copper'
I have found the distance between the metals determines the Current and the Voltage is always the same.
Also the surface area of the Metal so bar should be better if the Surface Area is Greater that the circumference of the Galvanized Nail I have used.
Just use 3 of them if you need 120mA to 150mA?
What are you powering with them?
Do you have a video of it?
Paul.

I Would make More Videos but its just time to make them...
Im going to make more effort this year.

Only 3 those batteries can run LED! That is interesting! And the fact is that if have more, more you will get! Super Good!
Thank you much!

cool battery, is the metel pure or plated?
i used zink plated screws and copper wire, worked real good till the zink plate blacked.
