@hto1971 Sound doesn't loop into pickups. Pickups only pick up vibration and turn it into an electrical signal -- they aren't microphones. There is nothing harmful about how the ebow works. It basically uses the same principal that is employed in the Fernandes Sustainer system.

that is alot more costly, there are also advantages and disadvantages in comparison to these, for example the fernandes sustainer has a battery, if it is flat, not even the pickup will work. and the battery gets drained pretty quick,thats One of the reasons matt changes guitars so often in live shows.
