  • Ted Lindsay came back from a four-year retirement in 1964 so he could end his career in Detroit (when he retired the first time, he had spent a year with the Chicago Blackhawks).

    After this one-season comeback, Lindsay became the analyst on Redwings' radio and TV broadcasts, and for a time in the mid-1970's, also with NBC's coverage of the NHL.

  • Nice....Mikita's rookie year was Lindsay's final year in Chicago......good teacher to have.
