But all the parallel stories? And what was with the random hermit that had a total anticlimax when Eragon runs away?

I think you wrote too much on things that we didn't particularly want to read about. Hopefully your next book will be considerably more condensed. And maybe throw in some long awaited romance?

well as a guess i would say that Nausada dies, so that Eragon has to lead the varden. (did'nt read to the end of eldst? well you won't know what i'm talking about)that would definatly make a cool plot twist.

i know that angelena will live coz she's based on Cris's sister. Galbortorix,obviously will live coz there are now 4 books. roran MIGHT die because i have a feeling, i don't know why. Oromis, sadly seems to be a likrly victim i'm afraid. but i don't know about anyone else.
