I don't care what anyone thinks, I find this type of music very catchy and honestly better than todays music, it actually makes me wanna dance and its not all about seduction, sex, violence, partying, or drugs. Go 50's rock n' roll!
I was definitively born in the wrong decade...I mean c'mon all we have is crap right now. Every song sounds the same with the same beats and pointless lyrics about how conceited they are and how much girls they get and mostly about love that I repeat...SOUNDS ALL THE SAME!
Listening to something as simple as this yet it being so amazing baffles me. And then listening to the crap being put out now in 2011 and then comparing it to this makes me want to cry and hold a funeral for music.
all these people commenting on current artist saying they suck fail to relize that in 40 years people just like you will be listing to that kind of music saying were did that go/
@wowshiqptar Good point. But I really doubt it. I mean we have some good songs now but not many. This stuff had beat, diffinitive beat. The stuff we have now is all just jumbled sounding. Even back then they knew this was a good beat. These songs actually have meaning behind them. Some of todays do too but not many
The world will feel a vacuum when Little Richard is finally called up to that recording studio in the sky. There will never be another sadly...Today's music can't hold a candle to this....True rock and roll
@JustinBieberSpam actually I like rap and loads of other genres, but you still have to love a bit of Little Richard :) I just don't see why the whole word has to compete with each other and define what is better than everything else. Just enjoy what you enjoy, and let everyone else enjoy theirs.
Yes me too, nowadays we never hear this kind of music on the radio. So I never heard of this kind of music since a few months now when I was searching for Elvis Presley and so i came to artist like little richard chuck berry etc.
I grew up listening to hendrix, the who, cream, deep purple, zeppelin etc but the first time I heard this I thought "what the fu.....?"Incredible.sheer joy listening to that marvelous voice.
My mum got stuck in a lift with Little Richard in the 60s. She said his face was like nothing she's ever seen before in her life, quote "He was beautiful!"
I just think he could sing the KFC menu and make it sound cool.
@INNIT0000000 Same thing with my Uncle's, Richard baby sat them in the early 60's when his house was right next to our family mansion in Macon, GA. They said he always somewhat scared them
@INNIT0000000 LOL. During the 1960's Little Richard was in the UK and my Mum and Dad went to see him. During the show, he took his shirt off and offered it up to the audience; my dad clambered over the seats, trying to grab it and, in doing so, managed to snag some woman's stockings - he didn't get the shirt.
this was the best rhythm ever invented during the rock and roll era, can anyone beat it with anything original? no they can not. Salud Little Richard you are the best.
You talk about a time that Rock n roll was something new and coming out of arrising and now that the music industry specially Rock n roll has become very stale i talk for my Generation that the one think that we envy that wished we could have in this moment is something new and fresh but just as exciting
@moroney1 are you deaf???? music today SUCKS. The music industry thinks talking over a beat is better music than people who study music for years and struggle to get a contract. All today's music is techology and altered vocals to make people sound better
@Ben0itZ I agree. Especially within the last 10 years, most music/vocals are so altered and fabricated it's literally not funny. But vocalist's such as Peter Steele, Layne Staley, and even Zakk Wylde are still fucking great. Most of the vocals that blow are the ones that use autotune and digitalize their vocals like all of that rap/pop shit. Technology can be a good thing too, Type O is an example of that reffering to the keys. It can also be a bad thing, when the music/lyrics are processed.
@Ben0itZ When little richard came out they said that music from the past was better too. Its just pereptuated rhetoricthat every generation uses. Artisits of today did struggle to reach fame too, People like Adele, Amy Winehouse, Coldplay, Anastacia, Kings Of Leon, The Script, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, MAry J BLige, Ceelo Greene, Claire McGuire and many more make great music. You cant say good music ends at the 80s becasue that is delusional, there has always been bad and good music in every decade
@Ben0itZ All of the artists ive listed would be regarded as commercial singers and all have sold millions of albums and have won coveted awards.Just because some 'marketable music' is something you dont like does not render music after the 80s as bad. People said jazz music in the 30s was jungle music that would destroy society, they gave out about RocknRoll,RnB,Pop,Hip Hop,Electro Pop,yet in all of these genres have great songs. Dont be so elitist and open your ears, music never died
@moroney1 there is no originality in modern music it all sounds the same, if you dont agree then you are deaf. i never said everyone after the 80s sucked...thats not true, there are a few good modern artists, but the ones that make it big and get all the media's attention are garbage. example justin FAGber, lil wayne, and all those stupid pop artists that rely on technology to sound good. END OF DISCUSSION
@Ben0itZ All modern music sounds the same? Last time i turned on the radio Adele's ''Someone Like You'' and Coldplays '' Viva La Vivda'' didnt seem identical. Yes there are copycats now, but you do realise that the same thing occured throughout the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. James Brown constantly copied Little Richard. You're a tad deluded. I mean it was in the 60s and 70s when Phil Specter and many others created technology to overlap vocals and alter people's voices, none of this is new, sigh..
@Ben0itZ Yeah I'm pretty sure there is a difference modern music is different, I dont consider country and rap to be the sound the same but thats just me.
@Badingolfer12 thats not what i meant. In rap, alot of artists sound the same and they all sing about the same bullshit. Country is okay, but some artists get repetetive
In 1956, DJ Alan Freed said that LRichard is the real solid rocker. Little Richard is explosive and charismatic. His ostrageous personality captured the music´s rebbelious spirit and his franticallly piano playing and raspy, shouted vocals defined its sound. Little richard is the real king of rock and roll. The English magazine awhile back rated the greatest rock and roll songs of all time.
I think they put "Can't Get No Satisfaction", by the Rolling Stones as #1. Nonsense.
This is the greatest rock and roll song of all times. With Earl Palmer on drums and Little Richard singing with total abandonment and giving that primal scream before the sax solo, well it don't get any better. If this don't get you out of bed, than you be dead.
I adore this song . I love music like this . I grew up with it becuz of my parents . & I listen to everything . Music has no limits . Say what you want , But this is what some people like & what some people don't . You can like what you want . Don't see the point in listening to it if you don't like it . Yeah , that makes sense .
In 2004 the German secret service BND had used a group of child molesters to prepare children. These children were offered to a bank employee. The contact was filmed. The BND then blackmailed this person to deliver information about tax evasion. This was reported in numerous newspapers in Germany,Switzerland and Austria.Still this material was used in court and there was no scandal about the BND perverts. My brother Markus Bott had been tortured and was assassinated on 11.7.09 because of our homepage
u need to get a life nd dont dare bash the brilliance tht has come out in the last 25 years from amazing artists like the killers, amy winehouse, coldplay, anastacia, cee lo green, florence and the machine, p!nk, will young, cyndi lauper, shakira nd so many others, every older generation seems always to diss whatever is modern which is a dumb cycle
I think it's easy to hate on new music because all the great songs of the past have had enough time so that everyone can decide what the best stuff was. People like to pretend all music was great int he 70's, but a lot of it was pure shit. Same with the 50's and any other era.
Well I like this music but I don't think I was born in the wrong era. I like some music thats released now, some that was released in the 1970s and the 1980s and some that was released in the 1950s. Every decade has good music.
@101DancingQueen101 Agreed with you about the era. I love music from the 50's, but this rock & roll stuff was pretty outlawed. to think that this was the ONLY interesting music around makes me feels sick. Now musically we are much more free. As listeners and as writers/performers.
do we always have to bash other music when listening to oldies? geez I can't listen to 50s-90s music without 38794892 comments saying "today's music sucks...."
@irocladdreadnought you are very dumb. people said this music sucked back then and was liking music from the 00's of the 1900 it's a trend that happens every generation. im sure in 50 years r Kelly, jay-z, breaking Benjamin, etc. will all be regrade highly. and what ever is the music of that era a lot of people will hate it just to hate it. music elitist are the worse.
do people just come to old music videos and try to bash modern music?
@Quentin2011 I agree that there is no point in bashing modern music. But I'm pretty sure that soon noone will remember r kelly or jay-z simply because music they created required no talent and had very little influence on culture. Maybe someday music will have it's revival. To this day we got a whole lot of tracks to choose from. Oh and i dont think that much people "back then" was listening to any kind of music simply because music just began to become popular at all.

@niezaleznyrealista I have a glimmer of hope for a music revival. Maybe never on a mainstream scale, but definitely on the smaller stage. There's a few bands and artists that have come out in the past few years or so that in my opinion are making the quality of music that hasn't been around for decades. Two examples I can give are the band "Deer Tick" and solo musician "Tallest Man On Earth". Feel to to check em out!
ahh i see what everyone is saying and i have to agree with Buuub08. it is true that rap is pointless now and RnB is used in the wrong way now. singing about dicks, tits, cheating on your gf/bf isn't Rhythm and Blues, it's stuff to make money
I don't care what anyone thinks, I find this type of music very catchy and honestly better than todays music, it actually makes me wanna dance and its not all about seduction, sex, violence, partying, or drugs. Go 50's rock n' roll!

I think it's easy to hate on new music because all the great songs of the past have had enough time so that everyone can decide what the best stuff was. People like to pretend all music was great int he 70's, but a lot of it was pure shit. Same with the 50's and any other era.
Evilucas 1 year ago
Well I like this music but I don't think I was born in the wrong era. I like some music thats released now, some that was released in the 1970s and the 1980s and some that was released in the 1950s. Every decade has good music.
101DancingQueen101 1 year ago
@101DancingQueen101 Agreed with you about the era. I love music from the 50's, but this rock & roll stuff was pretty outlawed. to think that this was the ONLY interesting music around makes me feels sick. Now musically we are much more free. As listeners and as writers/performers.
Evilucas 1 year ago
@Evilucas
It was 1950. Music was only beginning to blossom. Rock and Roll had just started then

no one will look back in 50 years in the future thinking todays music is good they will look back 100 years and say music then was in its prime
irocladdreadnought 1 year ago
@irocladdreadnought you are very dumb. people said this music sucked back then and was liking music from the 00's of the 1900 it's a trend that happens every generation. im sure in 50 years r Kelly, jay-z, breaking Benjamin, etc. will all be regrade highly. and what ever is the music of that era a lot of people will hate it just to hate it. music elitist are the worse.
do people just come to old music videos and try to bash modern music?
Quentin2011 1 year ago 2
