Back in the winter of 2008, it snow for the entire month of December. Winter of 2009 had no snow what so ever. The 2008 snowstorm must have snowed 2009's supply as well.
Ugh I hated this storm last year, it was at its worse right during rush hour. It took 2 hours to drive from the beginning of the alex frazer bridge to the end of the queensborough bridge, and I counted over 13 stalled cars, over 5 spinouts, and at least 4 seperate car accidents, on just the alex frazer bridge alone.
A super b went off the freeway east of 264th and the trailer was left floating over the slow lane. That was quite fun driving back and forth between Abby and Langley every day counting how many cars had gone into the ditch.
Still amazes me that a week ago we got about 2mm and five cars were in the ditch on the way back from Abby
I remember like, half a day of snow in January. But November, THAT was amazing! That snow fell fast, and lasted long too. I hope we get more this winter.
Oh that snow storm was nothing compared to the one we got in late november. It started snowing heavily from saturday night til monday morning and I missed a day of school. And it was freezing! I bet you it was minus 10 with that wind chill it was minus 20.
I thought that people in Alberta might actually know something about driving in the snow until I moved here and realized its flat! Soooo easy! I drove my BMW with summer tires for 2 winters with no problems at all.
Everywhere else in Canada perhaps, but it is so rare to have snow/freezing temperatures in Vancouver. So rare that drivers think they can drive in the snow, not realizing the difficulty.
theres no snow this year =/

It's often akin to the apocalypse when it snows in the Lower Mainland.

Oh wow..people from Vancouver
should never come to where I live,
it's like that almost every day in the winter.
But people got used to it, so driving isn't
as bad.

It's not the snow people should whine about! It's the bad drivers you should worry about!
