I've been reading all the comments about atheism and Christianity, and loads of other religions. I just have to say, World Youth Day is about helping and celebrating all young people, with all kinds of different religions. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think it matters a lot about what your religion is. I think it matters more about who you are, not what you are.
Disbelief just exposes the weaknesses of human beings. No matter what your religion is, as long as you have good ways in connecting to God, YHWH, or Allah, you're surely taking the right way.

The Catholic Church has many very talented Catholic musicians that would have exemplied our faith much better than Guy Sebastian. I have a right to that opinion. Check out Matt Maher...awesome musician, extremely talented and devoutly Catholic. Why not have a young man living out the faith rather than a young man who supports homosexuality and is not Catholic? Just a question.
Can u think of another famous, YOUNG, talented, spiritual songwriter with widespread appeal to the youth of this country? No doubt Frank Anderson or Paul Gurr might do a good job on a theme song for WYD but hardly with the popularity and appeal of Guy S.
