  • Could you remark the Isolation quality? You can go on the bus and just listen to your music, without take care of external and ambient sounds?.. i mean do they block outside noises?

  • Could you review the HTF-600s if possible? I think they are very good headphones if you have that low of a budget to go with, I got mine for only $30.

  • don't people with silly accents always measure in meters, not feet?

  • @dbaird31919 no, just normal people

  • @CompHelperKid what do you personally prefer in terms of sound quality, Klipsch Image S4 or the these m50's. I know that one is a headphone and one is an earphone but I am torn between the two. Also are the ear cups on these made of metal or plastic? Thx.

  • @CaperWaver The earcups on these are made out of plastic, but are extremely high quality and durable. I would say it boils down to whether you want portability or not. Both deliver excellent sound for their respective sizes.

  • @CompHelperKid Thank you for replying to my question. I wonder if you could answer another for me please. I mainly listen to electronic and indie rock genres. I enjoy deep bass dubstep like Skream so my question is do you think the bass is deeper/better than the klipsch which I am used to? Thanks.

  • @CompHelperKid how and where do you download Flac or 320 kbps music?

  • @lolboyboy1 Most of my music is downloaded through conventional methods like AmazonMP3 or iTunes Music Store (256kbps). For certain genres and of course for reviewing purposes, I get my 320kbps/lossless stuff by ripping from CDs that I buy.

  • Definitely thinking about getting these. I've waited too long to get a good pair of headphones.

  • this or the sennheiser hd 25-1 ii's?

  • @cwnoir Depends. Those Sennheisers are more geared towards 'on-the-go' usage whilst these are more meant for studio/home listening.

  • looks like i found the headphones i was looking for

btw whats the difference between the M50 and the M50s?

  • @Johan0043 M50 has a coiled cable, M50s has a straight cable.

  • as u can see

  • Most headphones hurt my big ears. Will I have an issue with these?

  • @wiwinko97 i have huge ears and there ok counfort wise. but the sound quality is amazing and totally worth it.

  • "as you can see"- 50 times?

  • 0.49 "Plether" Carrying Case

  • @superduran123 Plastic leather. Its a real thing.

  • Kudos for the in-depth review. I have these coming in the next couple of days, really looking forward to getting them. I will most likely be purchasing the Fiio E7 for a performance boost, have you had a chance to try them with an amp?

  • @kevinjmoh Defo! I'm into the same kind of stuff. The best thing is thanks to the stellar track separation it should sound amazing with those genres in particular. Hope this helps!

  • @kevinjmoh Yup but not an E7 unfortunately. Overall I'd say a decent headphone amp is pretty much required for good SQ, volume and clarity in general.

  • Do these headphones have just the right amount of bass for the music I'm into, mainly dubstep and a bit of electro and house. And is the sound quality good? Liked, subbed and favorited.

  • @FazExKiLLa He explained it all in the video.

  • Hi, I was just wondering whether the sound leakage is bad for these headphones and whether they would be good for other genres like alternative and rock eg Radiohead or Rage Against the Machine? Thanks

  • @NUDrumsCo These should be great for that kind of music. As far as leakage goes, there's not much because of the amazing padding etc. Hope this helps.

  • @CompHelperKid thanks!

  • I'm currently using the Sony MDRV6s and well I wanted to know if the ATH M50S or the Beats by Dre are better. Thanks!

  • @satointl Seriously , ... Beats -_-

  • @UniversalDesigning Yeah well never mind. I figured M50S were better. Going with M50S. Beats leak, unreal bass...

  • @satointl DEFINITELY the ATH-M50S. The Beats are plain un-balanced and unless all you're going to be doing is hip-hop the Beats are pointless. Also, with the Beats, you pay purely for the name/branding.

  • Im just an avid listener and im looking for something i can use on my computer to play mainly dubstep like flux, and avicii style electro house. And i love the look of these, would you recommend them?

  • @Based7676 These are perfect for that genre of music. The track separation is great so I think they'd be a good choice. The bass is also really nice.

  • Great review. Just one question though, how do you rate the sound isolation? I am really looking forward to buy these.

  • @MageMangix Surprisingly great, for this kind of passive isolation. The pads are so dense they provide good isolation of sound.

  • @CompHelperKid Done, just completed the online order. Thanks for the reply and the great review. *subscribed*

  • Do you have a shorter cable, about 1.2, 1.3 meter for this?

  • @key4duty Nope. The cable is not detachable, however if it's not long enough you can always by an extender cable.

  • Great informative review ;-),I'll be receiving, these (the coiled version) from inta-audio here in the UK tomorrow (2nd Feb) I'm going to be using them for music production with Reason 6 for dance, trance, ambient, instrumental music,I'm also buying a Focusrite 6 USB Audio Interface for high quality monitoring.I got a £14 discount for the phones so got them for £120inc vat(+ Free P&P).Do you know where in the UK you can get new pads ? I'm customising using the sock method for them I think.

  • @skyhawk77 Thanks for the comment. You can pick up pads from audiotechnicashop(dot)com. Just type 'ATH-M50' into the search box and they have them on sale for quite cheap :) Hope this helps

  • @CompHelperKid

Thanks for reply ;-), yep I found the link same night. The coiled ones look more stylish/pro I think as well as tidier. The quality is superb on these both construction wise but most of all, sound wise. You can hear the tinyest of details and frequencies in your music, samples and DAW's instruments. The bass is so dead on, it's frightening. I've modded them with sanitised socks (7colour pack) from M&S for enhanced looks, comfort, and durability, eg headband, pads and joints.

  • Now how will these do for dubstep and hi bass music. I mostly want to use this when i am at home and when i am gaming. So i just want to know if these will suffice for deep bass music because i was going to get the Bose ae2i and then i heard they where no good for bass. Please respond.

    Great review btw :D

  • @XxGameTankxx These'll be good for moderate amounts of bass. If you're looking at bass as the main element of your music, then I'd recommend something like the Sony XB500 or XB700's, as their main USP is their incredibly deep, thumpin' bass. hope this helps

  • great review man. Youtube needs more like you

  • Do they leak alot? I need them to public, school etc etc. Please answer. Thank you <:D

  • @Laepful ive seen lots of other reviews on these and apparently they have amazing leakage, almost none at almost full blast. im saving up to get these myself

  • @Laepful they dont leak

  • Great review. I had reservations prior to watching your vid, but now I'm sold! Just bought a pair. Thanks!

  • these or just the m50's? i want the best price doesn't matter

  • @thefootballkid17 Overall they're about the same price but you're really going to have to look around. You can get these cans really cheap these days.

  • @thefootballkid17 The only difference between the m50 and the m50s is the cable type. If you want a straight 4' cable get the m50s, the m50 comes with a 10' coiled cable.

  • This review is very well done, too bad for the low views. You really know what you're talking about.

  • @rthrgh Thanks for the kind comments!

  • pls pls make a revieve comparing the klipsch image one and audio technica m50s headphone i cant seem to see which is better pls thanks

  • Can you test rock music

  • should i buy this at 100 pounds?? i love listening to music but i don't know if i should spend 100 pounds on it...

  • @lolboyboy1 I would highly recommend these if you REALLY want to enjoy your music.

  • Not to sound stupid but will these work on my iPod?

    Please answer.

  • @Epic5auce Which iPod? I'm presuming a Touch. If so, it will most likely work, but only at high volumes (and even then the SQ wouldn't be it's best, due to to the moderately high impedance on these cans). For optimal listening experience, get a headphone amp (a cheap one like any of the FiiO range) and use it with your iPod.

  • Will the sound be be better through the pc input or monitor speakers input ( M-Audio AV40 ) Thanks , Great review by th way.

  • @spitfacedrip Simply put, the less devices the headphones have to get to the audio source through, the better, so I'd say the computer directly. A good headphone amp wouldn't hurt either!

  • Thank you so much for all the kind comments guys! Truly do appreciate it! :)

  • Brilliant review, how would you say these compare to Shure & Sennhieser models in the same price range (Under £200) And do you think these would be good for mixing and mastering? Cheers.

  • @audiojackal Thanks for the comment! I haven't tried many Shures in this price range, although these definitely beat the entire Sennheiser 'HD' line (which is in this price range) for sure. In terms of mixing and mastering, these would be a perfect choice. They sound great with plenty of genres. They're really true to the track, and as I mentioned the EQ is pretty much completely flat. So yeah, defo a good choice for mixing etc. :)

  • Good review? I bought these thx :)

  • everyone has a different opinion about the bass on these. I heard some reviews saying it has too much bass.

  • Great Review!

  • Phenomenal review. These will arrive at my house tomorrow and you confirmed that I made the right purchase. I love the high production quality and descriptiveness in the review. Seldom do I find headphone videos worth watching, so I'm usually just reading reviews on Head-Fi or InnerFidelity.

  • Awesome Review! This is like only the second review where the reviewer knew what he was talking about - very fluent and informative :)

  • Very fluent as a reviewer!

  • I think you sold me, great review

  • @o1Willy1o

Hey, how did you make the cable removable?

  • Great review, i think ill go and buy these headphones. Also, you have an awesome accent lol.

  • you are a great reviewer!

  • Are these, hands down, better than anything under 200$? What about the bass?

  • @172O Best for bass would be the Ultrasone HFI-580s.

  • can the wire detach from the headphone it self?

  • @trololz123 Nope.

  • do you recommend any other headphones around same price point?

for all type of music maybe lil more to rock/metal~

    are these goods for rock/metal?

  • @mgveja I found they sound pretty good with rock music.

  • R u rich? :)

  • @skrillex281 Yup! It uses AVCHD, so all you have to do is import into iMovie, then export to YouTube straight from iMovie itself!

  • @skrillex281 A Panasonic TZ10. Brilliant video quality IMO.

  • note that 3.5 mm jack can bend which can more than likely disrupt the signal transmission.......it happened it me and i got a new pair of audio technica :)

  • Editing software reviews, or your personal top 5. :) nice vid tho mate... might get some myself :D

  • Love 'em! Great review man =]

  • @marquesbrownlee Same! Thanks dude!

  • nice revieww (:
