Youre definitely splitting hairs with your cons. The fact that it bothers you that you have to push the display off button to shut the display off seems a little weird. Also, there is no deck on the market that allows you to watch a dvd while driving with out some sort of hack. I bought this deck around the same time you did and paid 220 dollars brand new so you definitely got robbed.

You can turn off "DEMO mode". Just push and hold on the volume knob. That's why you should always refer to the owner's manual. So you went a year with DEMO mode turned on? hahahaha. FYI- This item is now obsolete.

My ipod dont work on this radio. I have a nano 8 gb. I bought it 2 years ago. When i put it in the usb port, it says N/A USB. And when i try to put it in the aux, it show a blue screen like a want to play a dvd. Can you help me?

@Olliloop you need the ipod cable the plugs into the back of this unit. the usb port is only for flash drives.

@Olliloop You need the Ipod cable that plugs in the back of the radio. It doesnt use the USB cable that comes out the back . Complete different cable.

the Demo mode can be turned off. I don't remember which menu, but I turned mine off. It will stay on the ugly "off" screen all day without skipping to the Demo. My AVH-p4000 just got stolen after being im my truck for 1.5yrs. It had a great sound and decent video. I did find the touchscreen distracting, and I really didn't like the equalization adjusting. It was hard to tune, but sounded good once tuned. My insurance co. said they will replace it with the AVH-p4100dvd.

@nowherefast93 yes this unit will work on your accord < you dont even have to buy an installation kit just the wiring harness, on the opening for your factory radio install the new radio's sleeve and the rest is pretty simple !

There is a wire, that needs to be connected to the parking brake. if its not connected, that will be your problem.

Never buy HU as soon as they come out. It's good to shop around, do your own investigations. Lots of reviewing & Comparing. I wouldn't mind buying this HU. right now they going around $225.00-260.00 used

i just got this radio on clearance for dirt,,,, i am very pleased with the over all sound quality and the screen quality while watching dvds,,, once you get the hang of the controls ,,, theyre cake,,, i have ALWAYS USED KENWOOD recievers ,, but this one was well worth what i paid for it compared to other double din radios,,, and it sounds awesome in my ride,,,,,,

Yes that is true. this radio does sound great. all so the screen is great. I just don't like the plan look, and the lack of giving you the option, to change the back ground. besides that, I haven't used the DVD feature in over a year. :)

dude dont hate on this radio... but first thing first you can turn off the demo mode just hold down the volume button while in demo mode and it will turn it off.....

wow really not a good review only show very few features of what its capable of.. plus why would anybody keep it for a year if they were so dissatified with it instead of taking it back. i agree with the screen saver not being there is bad but not a huge deal, maybe u should have reviewed it before purchasing it a YEAR ago guy i have one and its not bad at all sounds great and looks great alot faster response then from the avic models as well i say get it, its a great product!

I have a 4 year warranty. So that's why I took a Year. and to be realistic, other then the ipod feature, I never use anything else. I cant drive and watch DVDs. it has no GPS, and for everything else you have to buy a add on. and like I said, for the price it should have come with a remote. If your happy with yours, that's all that matters. :)

good review, one question though. how is the seek speed when browsing through the ipod? like when going from the a's in artists to like the m's or somewhere else down the line? is it pretty instantaneous or is there a lag?

Its almost instantaneous. you wont really notice any lag.

My question is u can add a switch to bypass the parking brake so why cant u bypass the switch and hook it to your ignition switch same purpose right?

to bypass the brake you have to run a wire from the brake wire and ground wire and wire them into a switch then flip the switch off and on...
