  • I dont understand why 0:34 are 4 jets 0.44 suddenly 5 jets

  • IV GREEN SMOKE IV GREEN SMOKE 321 321 GREEN SMOKE ABOARD ABOARD DAMMIT!!!!!

  • Best scene ever

  • Hahaha I saw the wires between 1:34 and 1:35!

  • LOVE DIS SCENE

  • :l wow hollywood has got an obssession with destroying SF landmarks

  • Most Dramatic And Awesome Scene In Action Movie History

  • The strange thing is, the FAC party did see green smoke but then had to radio back to HQ and they had to make the call to knock it off? That is normally the FACs responsibility as the effect of delay has been shown here. But I guess that would´ve ben less dramatic. Hollywood realism.

  • Sean Connory is so epic that through everything that's happening he still has time to go jogging around the island.

  • Best scene in the movie, EPIC SCENE!!!! Goosebumps every time!

  • Great scene and Michael Bay best film in my opinion. I had no idea that Jim Caviezel was one of the pilots in the scene until I saw the end credits. Awesome.

  • why is sean connery a movie star and you re not?cause I ve seen this movie 234 times in the past 15 years,im 28 and his 65 yeard old ass jogging still gives me the chills

  • This sequence is some of Bay's best work, as much as the movie (and a lot of his movies) are pretty much templates for each other (same President as Armageddon, same dignified speech etc. etc. etc). Still it was a nice twist to have the abort come too late and the sequence is very well done.

  • Hans zimmer is the best!!

  • Comment removed

  • Admiral was vexed. Think that pilot who missed all 57 aborts is going to be scrubbing latrines with his tongue for a couple of months....

  • Love this movie for this particular scene and the ending... Can anyone tell me more movies which are as cool as this one??

  • @charlieking100 I'm sorry but 1:26 is the most epic moment in hollywood history!

  • @charlieking100 crimson tide

  • What's the name of the song?

  • They dont make movies like these anymore (sigh)

  • whats the music sound ???

  • 1:30 my back has some major chills with the scream, fucking powerful.

  • at 1:34 u can see wires

  • @craker11000 You bastard. End of discussion :(

  • @craker11000 The A-Team movie is pretty cool.

  • rofl you left out the ending

  • I remember when I first watched this when I was quite young..I was really really REALLY pissed off with that pilot

  • this movie is one vizual masterpiece

  • when hes neutraulised the threat, launch green flares and then we wait for the cavalry

  • Would've ended better if he had gotten blown up.

  • @Superfly9999 So true. In fact, the whole plot had so much potential in creating truly amazing characters with tragic and heroic ends.

  • They just don't make them like they used too :( Who on here can name a superb action film that came out in the last few years? NONE! I certainly can't even pick one.. ALL complete Crap now days... 90s rocked

  • @thebayareapimp Then people said same in 90's about 80's lol

  • 14 idiots didn't pop green smoke

  • lol if you freeze at 1:34 you can see the wires

  • @Remco1901

    hahaha i saw it lol

  • 1:27 - 1:34 Most Epic Scene !!!

  • It's the end, but it isn't the end...they're forgot the really end...

(excuse me, I'm not English but French)

But, it's a very beautiful music and movie !

  • this film gives me goose bumps

  • Best OST ever

  • That pilot is so getting fired ....

  • guys do you know movies which have the same..so dramatic scene with jets or helicopters?

  • @SalaOdyn

Outbreak has something like this, a massive plane heading towards a small town in order to drop a bomb while someone trying to stop them.

  • @CynicalVision

thxD I will check it out :) sounds crazy lol xD

  • @SalaOdyn

I've heard Apocalypse Now does, but I have not seen it.

  • @kenyoung1981

np :) Thanks for answer :) I am going to watch it then :)

  • thumbs up if u raped this 1:11 :))

  • BEST MUSIC...EVER!Not bad plot and good actors...just that stupid ending...:( and a scene when commando couldn't shoot the main characters sitting in a trolley!RETARD or sth!!!

BTW Thx for uploading! Ihope someone agree with me! :)

  • that movie would be epic...but this scene fu*** it up!

He should have died...WTF is it?! He survived the bomb attack xD?!

It could be the best ending! TFU! :)

    Anyway I love it!

  • Geez Nic Cage, return to this quality of acting! You had awesome movies in the 90's, but don't seem to care too much about acting in your movies anymore.

  • @kenyoung1981 YEA HE USE TO BE IN SOME GRET FILMS...but his got money worries so is just taking the cheques for any film now

  • @kenyoung1981

I know right? I feel like I'm watching a completely different actor here. It's just like he doesn't care anymore.

  • @CynicalVision I thought he was pretty good in National Treasure and DaVinci Code, but from recent films that's about the only films I can recall him acting properly in.

  • This scene where cage is waving on the smoke and the jet flies up,is a memorable movie scene and looks so beautifully powerful line ever!!!

  • The Part where they see Cage waving the flares just sends chills down my spine from awesomeness.

  • The movie should have ended with no one dead, and Hummel getting the money for those forgotten Marines. =/

  • Well what happened? i cant find this damn movie anywhere

  • @chrisw443 Its on TNT sometimes.

  • The part where u get the aerial shot of alcatraz being bombed with the fighter jet ascending towards the camera is one of the most iconic action scene shots in all of movie history! [ the scary part is the American military have fighter jets in there fleet that are more than capable of such devastation! ]

  • this scene is so epic

  • if only that guy wouldn't have said CQ1 a million times

  • although this is one of my all-time favourite movie scenes, it's a pity you can actually see the wires at 1:35

  • Damn, that´s very well observed!

  • @Espyyyyy thanks :)

  • @Jovac7 damn, I didn't see that. You got good eyes :P

  • can you upload the scene where tony todd dies? "your the rocket man"

  • venessa cicial is hott!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I want my FUCKING money.

  • @astrosoeren OH! maybe you cant put web addresses! did you write one when you tried to reply?

  • @astrosoeren sometimes i get that :(

  • @astrosoeren What do you mean?

  • I already dropped them

  • Most epic scene ever made... and the music here... masterpiece...

  • Jim Caviezel the pilot said Jesus Christ how ironic.

  • why cant they make movies like this now a days. SUCH A GOOD MOVIE

  • incredibleee!!! goose bumps!!

  • best action movie of all time hands down

  • name of this song please???

  • @assthunder search youtube for 06 Rocket Away part 2 [The Rock OST]

  • @assthunder idk but han zimmer made it

  • I wonder why he doesn't use radio

  • @raventhinker he doesnt have it and plus he wouldnt have reached them in time. Think about. Radio the cops, who have to radio the government, who have to radio the air force, who have to radio the air force base the fighter planes took off from, who have to radio the pilots. would have taken a long time. Flares were a better bet

  • There is a MAJOR flaw here.

Like 1min before this scene, there is a short clip of the Hornets.

You will see 6 Hornets flying in formation.

But when they drop to the deck in this scene, there are 5?

    Go check it out. ;p

  • Comment removed

  • @Intrepid746

I noticed that too :P doesn't really matter, still my favourite film ever. I really like how the film doesn't seem to take itself too seriously

  • If he said CQ1 just once they would have had enough time to tell the pilot to back off, moron.

  • @1poiuztrewq2 they had to relay it to the command and then to the pilot

  • HE FORGOT FRIENDLY FIRE WAS ON!!!

  • The pilot who dropped the bomb worked at Wallmart the day after.

  • @ROEDERBABY what wallmart is?

  • @ROEDERBABY

    haha nice

  • @ROEDERBABY LMAO

  • For those that are wondering the soundtrack title of this was "Rockets Away"

  • @ROEDERBABY Hahaha... very funny man...

  • 1:40 Oh man, that colonel was PISSED!

  • @astrosoeren who's andrew Kramer ?

  • "I got green smoke...I got green smoke!!! CQ1, CQ1!! We have green smoke, we have green smoke over-gimme that, gimmie that gimmie that---ABORT!-Abort. Abort! Abort!...I already dropped them!!!!!

  • THIS FILM IS BETTER THEN THE DARK KNIGHT!!!

  • LOVE THIS FILM!!

THUMBS UP IF THIS SCENE,LAMBO CHASE AND SHOWER SCENE MADE THE FILM!! AND SOUNDTRACK :)

  • @PakiReppinSl1 Yeah and also the Mutiny scene which Hummel dies.

  • @PakiReppinSl1 What lambo chase?

  • we all think our ferrai`s, lambo`s, suzuki hayabusa`s, mitsubishi evo`s, suabra imprezza`s, mclaren`s, porsche`s are all capable of hitting breakneck speeds but fuck me look at the cruising altitudes these jets have at 100ft below radar at 0.47, just imagine what these jets and others look like when there engines are at full throttle in mid-air.... breath taking stuff!

  • This is not the ending of the movie. Bullshit

  • FUCKING EPIC!!!!!!

Also the best moments in MW2 were related to this movie

  • somebody knows the music from 0:00 till 1:17.

especially the sound from 0:48 till 1:00 is awesome!!

  • @abwehrspieler if they made a "score" soundtrack for this film it may be on there, hope that helps because the music really is amazing.

  • @abwehrspieler watch?v=YoHwfsuUWNA

  • @GeneralXT

    thats it:)nice!

    thanks!!!!!!!!!

  • @abwehrspieler no problems, always like to help people:)

  • @abwehrspieler The score was composed by Nick Glennie-Smith, Hans Zimmer and Harry Gregson-Williams, what we hear here is an extract from the track called 'Rocket Away'.

  • Green smokee!!!

  • I allways get goosebumps when the pilot says " I allready dropped them ! " and cage starts to scream

  • @Battlemanisback me too.

  • Well somebody's gonna get fired!

  • we all think that our ferrari` and lambos and porsches etc have top supercar speeds of 200-250kph but fuk me man look at the `basic` cruising altitudes that these jets have at 01.44 i mean fuckin hell theyre sitting at speeds 0f 1,8000 kph minimum and still have devastating effects upon theyre targets, i know this is a hollywood movie but its still a very realistic `depiction` of what the u.s fleet has in its navy, damn man...

  • @2006scottw

sorry 0.44 secs lol my bad

  • Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery in one movie ♥ FANTASTIC!!!

  • @MasterKeyN64

But don't forget the other great actors here: Ed Harris (as general Hummel), Michael Beihn (as commander Anderson) and John Spencer (as the chief of the FBI, R.I.P.)

  • @bbenjoe What about the weasel-faced William Forsythe? Cool actor, too.

  • @minutemanIV

     Indeed he is.

  • haha i always laugh thinking about the pilot getting fired or court marshalled for dropping the bomb after hearing all those "aborts" haha good scene with hans zimmer though.

  • the shot where alcatraz is bombed and the f-16 fighter jet ascends towards the camera is one of the most iconic action movie shots in all of movie history, the irony of it is the united states marine core has jets in its fleet that have the capability to do just that. AWESOME!

  • @2006scottw its and F18 in this film.. But they are supposed to be Airforce so they should be F16s, an error made by the film maker.

  • Aw they just missed the best part where he shoves the green stuff in the bad guys mouth

  • what about the hostiles there where in the cells???

    please answer

  • @iranus100 The bombs missed the cells. the hosatges are ok

  • what is a star?star is a sixty five year old guy jogging for 3 seconds and automatically making a great action scene EPIC.

  • One of the most beautiful action shots of the 90's movie history

  • Wow those jetfighter engine roars sound lifelike.. at least with my sound system :E , this is one of the very few action movies that gets me ah bit you could say emotional so brilliant.. Thx to Zimmer also

  • I GOT GREEN SMOKE! GREEN SMOKE! :D

  • Thumbs up if you were brought here by something other than MW2.

  • @Rangerpl1322 I think most did, The Rock was a classic way before MW2...

  • @Rangerpl1322 I was brought here because i know that this film is amazing

  • @Rangerpl1322 i was brought here by the movie wich i watched before call of duty 4 was reales

  • @Rangerpl1322 oh hell yeah,I just had rewatched this and just needed to rewatch this scene again..its so short but so epic..they dont make movies like this anymore..:(

  • @Rangerpl1322 yeah seriously its getting so annoying now...everytime i watch any kind of a military or even PAINTBALL clip someone brings up MW2...its like shut the hell up already

  • one of the greatest movies ive watched during my lifetime

  • @Wolfenhiem same here..all time classic

  • practically shit my pants the first time i watched this scene.

  • gimme that, abort !

  • 1 of the best scenes ever

  • Call of duty Modern warfare 2 Took the flare from this movie when you have to get to the top of the building and the scene from the shower room. Yet they were awesome.

  • @TheDieHard777 Appearently they even used the same composer ( Zimmer if im not otally mistaking) to make the score for the sequence in the game..so I think the reference was pretty deliberate::P

  • Andrew Kramer sent me here....

  • Americans firing on their own people? Surely not

  • ANDREW CRAMER!!

  • Kramer'd

  • fact #1: Yes, the vast majority got sent over here by Kramer

fact #2: Modern Warfare rips of every successful action movie from the past 20 years

SO PLEASE STOP WRITING ABOUT IT EVERY 2nd comment

  • hahah got linked to this from video copilot :D

  • This video has been officially Kramer-Rolled :D

Copy and past this so AK can rule the world!

  • If you look at the 1:35 mark, you can still see the wire rig they used on set to hang Nicholas Cage. Its like a couple frames, so don't blink ;)

  • kramer sent me

  • VIDEO COPILOT

  • ANDREW KRAMER

  • You got Andrew Karmered.

  • @Markypizz you are absoultly right

  • lol looks like everyone got sended here by andrew kramer :)

  • @bouchandre ehm SENT, but yeah you're right:)

  • @CDTITANIC english is not my main language :)

  • hahahah oh nick cage, you are epic....epicly fail

  • Thumbs up for Andrew Kramer!

  • Why don't you kiss VC ass some more. weak!

  • Kramer for the win

  • AK!!!

  • Andrew Kramer

  • Video Copilot? SURE THING!

  • All of these plane scenes where either CGI or USAF training footage except for the cockpit scenes inside. Don't tell me directors and producers can hire real fighter jocks and military hardware.

  • @1poiuztrewq2

they can, but why do they have to waste tons of money on something, if they can get it for a fraction o the cost somewhere else. its a business, not a willy waving competition to see who can shoot the best video. Plus, no one, besides you and 5 other guys, noticed that. think about it, it makes sense

  • @1poiuztrewq2 Yes, they can. For example, for the movie Terminator 2: The Judgement Day, James Cameron blew up an entire office complex just for the heck of it. Good directors have a huge funding of hundreds of millions, so why not...

  • @QUATR00

they can, when they have the budget, and when the scene ask something to be done in the exact way they imaged it. no producer is going to spend millions on something that can be done cheaper. plus, dont compare Cameron to Bay. They dont have the same weight in Hollywood.

  • @1poiuztrewq2 actually Michael Bay can, he has some serious links with the military and he goes out of his way to do things live action. He's managed to get fighter jets used in his film before the military started using it themselves.

  • @mikeysa I hope you're not seriously saying that Bay used aircraft in his films before they were even used for military use.... If you honestly believe that, there's something wrong with you lol

  • @xflowness no it's fact, filming dates for his films and release date of the aircraft should prove it. Not sure which fighter jet it was, think it might have been star scream , or it might have been jets in Armageddon, can't remember which.. I remember producers talking about it over some footage of independence day
