Good eye! Ya that's actually the conductor. The train was so short that day that he just waited until it passed by so that he could restore north siding switch Brunswick to its normal position.

I don't understand why their passenger service went to Rocky Mountaineer instead of Via. Rocky Mountaineer's prices and schedules are way out of line with the needs and wants of the average Canadian or tourist.

That is very true. It is called the "Whistler Mountaineer" so I'm assuming they're target marketing those wealthy people who stay at the 5 star resorts in Whistler. I wish the Cariboo Prospector was still in operation - I'd be hitting that up all the time when I want to go skiing!
