@HavxHHH i will admit that it takes a bit of playing around with to get a good tight tone that doesn't clip when you record, but when you find something it's super fucking sweet. My tone is MUCH different than when i recorded this video, and i'm super happy with it so far.
@XeroJager hey man i figured out how to record without getting staticy stuff on my guitar - but do you know of any way to get more sustain on things like palm muted breakdowns so that the guitar will ring out and not be cut off - taking out the noise gate is not a good choice - and if i turn up the distortion static starts coming in.
@XeroJager dude you might be the man im looking for -im recording with pod hd usb to computer - i get a staticy sound attached to guitar tracks - sounds almost like clipping which you seem to know about - cant figure out why - my volumes arent clipping - can you help me out man? how do i fix this?
@RedneckChexMix The staticy popping and whatnot can be usually caused by putting too much gain on your guitar signal. On your pod, lower the amp gain by a significant amount, then add on a distortion module anywhere before your amp on your signal chain. My setup is -> Noise gate > Tube Screamer > Noise Gate > Amp (ENGL powerball, or the Angel P-Ball as it is in the interface) > Tube Compressor. I use two noise gates to keep the sound tight, and the gain on my amp is at 18.
nice bareknuckles! im getting my aftermath bridge installed in my rga121 today =]. Just curious though, assuming this song is in drop B like all of elitist's songs, dont you find that .49 is a bit thin for dropped B? Does your low B string buzz a lot or is it tight? it sounds nice anyways
@MA1S0 It's still tight, but not as tight as thicker gauge strings, and NORMALLY i use the .52 gauge pack they have avaliable, but they didn't have them at the time. I'm actually restringing my guitars as we speak.
@XeroJager They look and sound awesome in your RG. How much did you pay for those? And where did you get them from? I was looking to get into either the painkillers or the warpigs.
@coolioisafoolio I got them when i bought the guitar second hand from someone, he already installed them so yeah. But this particular set would be 350. You can get them straight from BKP themselves, Ebay, or a site called theaxepalace. They're a wide distributor of BKP products in the US
Quick question, what do you think of the Pod HD Desktop?
I was looking at getting one, and was going to primarily play metal with it. (Parkway Drive, August Burns Red etc.)
Do you recommend it?

@RedneckChexMix Mess around with the decay and threshold settings on the noise gate.
My main setting has a threshold of 66 percent, and a Decay of 11 percent.

@XeroJager Word. I just got 2 sets, Warpigs and Painkillers. I'm gonna experiment with the neck/bridge combos. I'd like to try the Aftermaths too.
