  • What was it with George? He didn't embrace the whole Beatles thing the way Paul and Ringo do. He talked about it sometimes as if it was all a bit of a nuisance - he never came to terms with how great it was and how great HE was. And his digs at Macca, who was and is even greater, never ended -consider the last moments of the interview where he talks about 'those people' who release and promote their music'. Nevertheless, an incredible guy.

  • This is when today tonight was a credible new's show, not full of cheap rubbish...

  • Now he's free....George's been the best ever, RIP.

  • blood in his drug steam, haha

  • George is so humble, spiritual, wise, and musically talented. the world misses him. RIP George- see ya in Heaven I hope

  • @4FabBEATLES he believed in reincarnation like me

  • Elvis, "I like The Beatles, The Beards (The Byrds), and whoever." sarcastic, worthless, fat fuck. most people don't realize he never wrote a single song. he was just jealous.

  • @eternityWeeps They discovered blood in his drug-stream you know.

  • What was the black band around George's Hand?

  • @TheNay1993

A band to wrap his hair into a pony tail

  • Sometimes it's amazing. I mean I listen to The Beatles now and while listening it's almost like I think that The Beatles are currently a band who is also releasing albums and DVD's and what have you, but then I immediately go back and say, "Wow. They broke up nearly FORTY years ago. They were broken up for 16 years when I was born."

It's absolutely shocking and amazing that they have STILL managed to exist in pop culture as it exists today. It's incredible whether you're a fan or not.

  • @NeilFraudstrong never more true word's have I seen as a comment........

  • I believe that was footage (taken by Priscilla) shortly after their marriage..they went on the road, I guess travelling the country. They got a huge bus, and in between driving they'd stop on the side of the road to let loose, get some exercise. Elvis would often goof off with members of the 'Memphis mafia" (who were also on the road with him & Priscilla). Here they were fooling around, tackling one another, etc, etc.

  • It brings it all back, the love they made us feel, the hope for something worthwhile but day by day, year by year the assholes who want to run it all have corrupted everything. Anything worthwhile is turned to shit.

  • Great interview ! Thanx George ... wherever you are .

  • george is beautiful

  • Wow!! He's beautiful with this Jesus Christ look!!

  • Hey All! Love it, There's not enough room 4 me 2 comment:) Peace

  • The man ...George was so down to earth and real. Great interview! Thanx!

  • Thanks so much for this interview...

  • Thanks so much for uploading this Interview!!!

It's very interesting to me to know the real George Harrison... I've always thought that he was a 'profound' thinker as well as a brilliant singer/songwriter. You will always be missed by your fans and obviously newer generations are appreciating you as a solo artist as well as the Beatles. These interviews and clips give the younger fans insite into the men behind the music...Beatles fan forever!!!

  • Great interview, nice to see George speaking so candidly to Australian TV but then again he was very fond of the place with his home on Fraser Island and his regular trips to the Grand Prix in Melbourne & Adelaide.

Another ironic comment he made is in regard to his "crappy demos", look at 'Brainwashed' and 'Maxine' on the Wilburys reissue - both polished to perfection hopefully there's more where that came from for Jeff Lynne & Dhani to work on.

  • good interview, a bit sad though. cause he said that when you listen to a song that was sung by a dead man it sounded 'different', and lisening to his voice, he being dead, is sad.

    but thanks for posting

  • nice, but i think it's a huge understatement to say John's death/murder was, "a bit of a waste"... a bit? wow. Anybody's murder is a huge waste and extremely sad.

  • That has to be one of the great one linerer of all time.." He was found with some blood in his drug stream" I did not quite catch who george attributed it to,and even though it was about another great hero of mine I stll pissed myself laughing! Thanks george. ps I think it was the trousers!

  • thanks for uploading this video, loved it

  • Great interview.

  • paul's worth over 800 million dollars, id say he's the richest

  • Nice interview- horrible editing!

  • Great interview!! as usual with George, a lot of thought to matters you just wouldn't give much reasoning. Very interesting when he talks about John Lennon and how, in a way, "it's easy to be dead" because of how people build up a myth. wonder if someone will ever get hold of George's demos and re-work them just as it was done with John's "Free as a bird".

Thanks so much for posting this interview!!

  • what song are they talking about, where they filled in john lennon's voice over the song?

  • "Free as a bird". You should check it out. Even the video of it won a grammy.

  • thanks very much for the help =)

  • Yummy...yummy! Isn't that what you said she does? He he! I can see her laying on the floor, her feet rattling the linoleum, chuffing out YUMMY! Wow. That's too funny. Is she retarded too? They usually are.

  • Jealous, illiterate piece of filth that you are, Lardass. At least you're consistent.

  • What about John lennon's Tittenhurst? Do you think he was faithful to HIS wife? He plagiarized Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little 16" and was successfully sued for it. What then, eh?

  • Ass: You misspelled constant. But I guess that's because you are a 14 year old whore from Kentucky. See your mother lately?

  • Really? He was broke? I thought he was much richer than that like Paul and Ringo.

  • KM - George was a middle class kid from Liverpool. He was "educated" in almost nothing. Money and guns are dangerous things in the hands of certain people. George spent a fortune on music, movies and real estate. He had the taste of a peasant. That is to say when a peasant suddenly gets money, all of his/her choices are extreme. Cartoon like. George bought a 120 room palacial estate that would've been too much for the Queen of England. Little wonder he was always broke.

  • I didn't know that. He was one of the Beatles and thought he makes much more and living very rich, I don't know. Who is the riches Beatle anyway?

  • I think Paul is the richest Beatle. He's well loaded - ask Heather...I think George used to give away a lot - for instance he gave his second house at Letchmore Heath to ISKCON (Hare Krsna) which is shown on the cover of Living in the Material World. He also reputedly left them £20 million. And he financed some movies, some of which bombed. But he can't have been all that skint really, don't you think?

  • KM2008: Lardass56 (as masterJackAubrey) is a lying twatend. George Harrison's estate is HUGE. She (lardass) goes about everywhere flaming George Harrison because she is the product of a dysfunctiona, uneducated, backwater home. George's solo albums blow Lennon's out of the water every year. George is the wealthiest Beatle by a long chalk.

  • I don't know who to believe. I hear that he's broke and then I hear he's more rich than anything.

  • KM2008: Let me put it this way: Friar Park is worth an estimated 28 million pounds. One pound is worth just over 2 American dollars. That's not to mention the enormous amount of residuals and royalties from every album he has ever produced. Add to that, the fact that his latest album, published after his death, has pulled in more than twice the amount of money that John Lennon's albums did this year. I promise you; George Harrison's estate is MASSIVE. Lardass is a jealous little twit.

  • Fatass (as MasterJack) You misspelled palatial. You ping off of George Harrison's education and then you misspell a simple word like palatial. By the way, you are always broke. George Harrison's great grandchildren will be rich off his legacy. When you die, no one will notice.

  • Hey Lardass (MasterJackAubrey) George had shitloads of money. YOU are on food stamps. I live across the road from you, bitch. BUSTED! You are so poor you wear the same clothes every day. BOY'S clothes. Do you thin you're a boy? We're all laughing at you. See you at school

  • Lardass: A person who is as ill as you are, with your raging oppositional personality disorder, cannot be taken seriously in any forum. When presented with ANY information, you either blow it off with moronic drivel, or gleefully use it as an opportunity to reinforce your opposition of everything. How sad for you. Cinsider getting a formal education

  • gdv42: She IS a yank. A nasty, fat, spotty little school girl from Kentucky. She learned to read from the backs of lice treatment boxes.

  • Lard ass, do I detect the whineging of a yank who recognises that The Beatles could only have been created in Englands Green & pleasant. After all what have you given us apart from the hotdog.....The Monkees !!!

  • Lardass' lies: 1. George never stopped talking about the Beatles. 2. He NEVER resented his fame, 3. He did use his fame to generate charity monies for the needy, 4. He helped write Anthology as a tribute to John Lennon and the Beatles. 5. When he died, George Harrison was worth over 30 million pounds. That's about $65 million.

  • Paul is worth billions. George's is really that the close, sadly.

  • Lardass is a nasty, insecure little twit who lives in a caravan in Kentucky. She hasn't a penny of her own and hates anyone who does well. George died a very wealthy man. Both in monetary wealth and in spiritual wealth.

  • At the end when he is talking about people hyping their fame"milking" their fame - he's gotta be thinking about Paul - who really went after it, you know? George took that back seat and I always respected him for that. He was never a media whore.

  • No that's what they're asking me Sparky.

  • The questions people are starting to ask about you are

along the lines of "Is this the guy who attacked him".

  • you see? now i am crying here like a lil girl..and i am only 25. i love you george..rip!

  • I wish George was alive. he was my favorite Beatle. So was John. :)

  • starrbeatlesqueen, whys his hair so long???cos hes a BEATLE! why are you bald????????? ha ha

  • Great interview! I miss George.

  • Good ...

Never watched this interview before either, can't even

    believe this,keep sharin' em'.

  • had the pleasure of meeting George in Liverpool 1969 (Delaney and Bonnie tour) and walked and talked with him..he was a very honest & humble man ...the best 3 minutes of my life ..

  • "they found some blood in his drug stream" hahahahahahaha

  • My favourite expression George said was, "Still a lot of 17 year olds standing down by the front door. I can't understand it." Love

  • Well I was 19 when this interview was done and I would be perfectly happy to explain it to George if I had the chance. ;)

  • I think its because he hadn't had it cut in a while. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.

  • why's his hair so long? was this when his cancer began?

  • George's first tumor was two years later in 1997. He had surgery on it, but unfortunately came around 2001. That's when he had chemo.

  • Thank you.

  • I'm one the Harrison's fan... I do miss him indeed. Still find them ALL as men with some deep phelosifical vision... study their songs' words and you learn alot.. Thanks Tube

  • George Harrison words say something...listen if you like....but the "Beatles" words have no deeper meaning....they like to make fun of people who want to look for a meaning....hehe

  • We (maybe older) fans of the Fabs are grateful to you,Easternbird and the like for digging up gems like this and sharing...The Beatles went everywhere, even when they split up and thanks to YouTube and you,we can all see the bits that they did in other countries..thanks

  • well i like George and he seemed a very nice fellow in the short dealing I had with him, but I wouldn't call myself a beatles fan and I feel it's kind of wasted with me.

  • I have a document signed by George when he came to Australia and did this interview, does anyone know if it's worth anything?

  • why do you want to sell it? It`s priceless now that he is dead. I`ll guess you could get a couple of thousand pounds for it.

  • This is very cool! I miss George!

Check out my Lennon Cover song.

  • Namaste!

He seems to be so smart

  • they found some blood in his drug stream... lol

  • This is so wonderful... Thank you so much...

    I miss him

  • Lovely! Thanks!

  • this is great and sad
