I wasn't totally oblivious to this fact when it was happening, but the summer of 1988 and most of 1989 was a very, very good time for me. This video, along with "Another Lover" (Giant Steps), "Parents Just Don't Understand," "Tomorrow People," not to mantion most of Def Leppard's "Hysteria" album (the parts of it that had been released to that point anyway) and so on, those songs were a huge part of my personal soundtrack of that time period.

I was 12 or 13 when this song came out. It was played on VH1 several times a day the summer it came out; either 88 or 89. Rosie O'Donnell was one of the hosts of VH1 back then. That's how old I am!!!!! Yikes!!!! This song is indeed beautiful.
