And thanks FullEps! Have a healthy (or an "unhealthy" one if you prefer) breakfast with compliments from your loyal viewers!
Of course, if one does partake in a rich, fatty, cholesterol-laden meal -- it should probably be breakfast -- leaves more time during the rest of the day to exercise/burn off the fat/calories, etc...
The British version of a mixed grill breakfast has 'offal' in it? ...kidney/liver --organ meats for breakfast?? Well, that's certainly different -- wouldn't have known that tidbit if I weren't watching Corrie! Hmm, I also remember in a recent episode Norris mentioning that he had a tongue sandwich waiting for him at home for lunch...I can't say that I'm a fan of this type of cuisine, but this is fascinating - food is such a neat window into a culture...
It seems to me that various cultures throughout history have learned to cook and ingest various animals simply for survival -- I can't say I like stuff like liver but organ meats are supposed to be loaded not only with cholesterol , but probably proteins, vitamins, etc...anyway, I've got no judgment on what people eat...bugs, slugs/snails...fish, eels, --- you name it-- if the thing moves-- someone somewhere has found a way to cook (or not) it and eat it...:)
with a moniker like jockmctavish2 -- aren't you familiar with that wonderful dish called haggis (i probably spelled this wrong...) -- isn't there a lot of offal in this dish as well???? hahahahaa!!! :)
I know a few Australian "strange" foods...one of them I remember (I think)was "vegemite" -- I remember getting a jar of this sandwich-type spread as a gift from an Australian family who was visiting over Christmas (their summer)...cheers...:) !!
Ah yes, Men at Work...and the cheesey/breezy contrast to them: Air Supply -- hahahaha! Two bright spots in an era full of punky, discoey -- pretty awful stuff (much too puffy/hair-sprayed hair...funny shoes, large shoulder pads..) If I remember the taste of vegemite -- kinda sour -- must have been like someone discovering cheese for the first time-- it's probably an acquired taste :).
Anyway, if ur there 55UT -- some pretty bad news...catch the recent episodes of Corrie while you can..!!!
youtube has blocked FullEps uploading of the Corrie episodes... pls go to the most recent upload - the funny-looking screen and check out the mournful posts... aw geeeeeeeeeezzzzzz!!!
I didn't know that! Thx for telling/reminding me...Australia and Australians are fascinating as well...the Ramsay episode playing "Walzing Matilda" reminded of this song with the strange words like billabong, coolibah tree...sang it in elementary school.
You may have missed the August 18 Fulleps Video that was just a quick explanation of no episode because of a soccer game. (Fulleps has removed it, since). Anyway, as you know as a Corriepeep, we will post to anything on the Fullep channel. During this time Jock came out as a female Aussie. Brilliant storyline within a storyline community (LOL!!). Ain't that right Jock?
Jock, the new eye makeup trend is to do the smoky eye with color now instead of black, brown or gray. I guess the Corrie makeup artists are tying to be on trend.
if you pause at 4:45 Minnie has a funny look on her face ;)

LOL! The only thing I know about a vegimite sandwich is the reference to it in the song "Down under" by Men at Work , in the 80's. Remember that?

Where did Liz's sudden compassion come from? I know she admired the way Becky interacted with Amy, but this 180 seems too quick.
